I was bought this drone as a christmas present, its now the 14th January 2023 and im about to take it out for the first time. Since christmas day 2022 I have watched many videos on explaining how to set this up for flight and everyt single one of them scared the living daylights out of me. Am so glad it helped! It's easier said than done but try not to be scared or nervous make sure your in well open area and just launch that little dude in the air and take slow I would take-off and then let the drone just hover and then turn it around and awe it Left and right slightly and the go up and down a little bit then I would fly it away from you about 60ft or so and Ascend (go up) about 80ft or so and press your RTH (Return to Home) button and let the drone do its thing this way you will have a little more confidence that that drone will find its way back to all by itself that RTH Button is your best friend just make sure to calibrate your compass and gyros! Excellent video for the HS720G. I bought the version that came with an extra battery. One clarification. To switch from Mode 2 to Mode 1 on the controller, which switches the up/down-rotate left right (left joy stick in Mode 2) and fly forward/backward-left/right (right joy stick in Mode 2) from the left joy stick to the right joy stick, you start with the controller turned off. Hold the lock button down and turn the controller on. Release the lock button and press the return-to-home button for 3 seconds. That switches it to Mode 1 (i.e. the up/down-rotate left right (left joy stick switches to right joy stick in Mode 1) and fly forward/backward-left/right (right joy stick switches to left joy stick in Mode 1)). Mine did not default back to Mode 2 after turning it off and turning it back on again, so I had to repeat the above instructions to switch it back from Mode 1 to Mode 2. I, myself, prefer Mode 2 with the up/down-rotate left/right on the left joy stick and fly forward/backward-left/right on the right joy stick.

I haven't taken out to an open area yet to do a good Range test on it, but in my neighborhood (with cell towers, WiFi and Power lines) I have maxed the FPV Range at about 1063ft and max controller Range I got was 2779ft that pretty good with all the interference I have around here, if your recording video the drone will keep recording to the SD Card even after you losing your FPV View on your cellphone
I took my new hs720g up for its first flight and I’m impressed. Got an extra battery on the way. I definitely caught the bug and appreciate your video. I was trying to figure out why when I hit the land function the drone would go up first and then land as it was hovering at my height first. But I understand now as I see it does that in your video and it’s a safety feature. Just caught me off guard as I though the drone would just land as it was at about 6 feet off the ground but shot up first then landed.

@@Humble-Engine the DJI Mini 2 is pretty bad ass and not hard at all to learn everything but if you can afford it the Mini 3 Pro is absolutely Amazing I am actually finishing up my review on the DJI Mini 3 Pro and the Mini 2, the Mini 3 Pro is up there on price but Amazon has Affirm now so you can get the Mini 3 Pro fly More Plus Combo ($1158) with little or no money down and make monthly payments ($32 a month roughly) lol!!!

I really love your video. However I cannot get my drone to calibrate. First of all my camera seems to be kind of stuck, it doesn't correct itself like yours did, it just sits kind of half cockeyed all the time. It doesn't seem to move freely like yours did. I don't want to mess it with it too much. So I have the remote paired to it, and I think I'm through the horizontal part also All it does now is blink green I can't seem to get past the vertical calibration. I tried pulling the batteries out of the units, both of them. And I've started completely from scratch but it seems to be stuck in the mode between horizontal and vertical, it just keeps flashing green. Not to mention my battery will not charge past three quarters. I already contacted customer service and they said they were going to send me a new battery. I still think that I should be able to calibrate it with 3/4 charge. I'm super frustrated I'm wondering if it got damaged in shipping. Customer service seems really good except for they're not that good on the technical part of it. I know everybody says these are such great drones, but my experience so far has been horrible. Maybe I got a lemon. If the camera was slightly messed up with that have anything to do with the calibration? Is there any help you can offer me would be great I would love to be able to just start from scratch. Obviously I can't unpair the remote from the unit, that's done. I thought that if I just rotated it vertically since it's already blinking green it should get me to the final gyro calibration, but it doesn't seem to be happening for me. Extremely frustrating.
If you power on the Drone and connect to the Drones wifi signal and open the app I think in the settings (gear wheel top right corner) there is a section that says sensors, if you open that section you can do the compass calibrate from there, Tap start and a picture of the drone will popup in the middle of the screen to start the horizontal calibration keep rotating the drone until that popup picture changes to the vertical calibration the keep turning the drone (vertically) until that popup goes away and I believe it will say "Calibration Complete" am not positive that that option is there but most HS apps have it, if not look in the manual and there is a section on compass calibration it will tell what color the LED lights will turn and blink for each phase of the compass calibration, it could be your not making enough rotation on the horizontal cal in order for it to move to the vertical cal. The camera should level out after the Calibration is completed, then you can do the Gyro Calibration but you can also do the Gyro Calibration before the the Compass Calibration I just always do it after the compass. Let me know if you get it going, also it is possible to get a lemon sometimes, try to record what your doing and what the drone is or isn't doing, Holy Stone will want to see video before they replace it, or another option if you can't get it going and you purchased it from Amazon if your still inside the return window I would return it and then buy another one. As far as a mini drone for indoors I would have to say my 2 favorites would be the Sansisco D15 mini drone or Holy Stone's HS360 mini drone I would probably lean more towards the D15 because it is foldable and maneuvers really well plus it is pretty quiet for mini drone but if your looking for a Mini Drone to fly indoors and fly with the kids I would absolutely recommend Sansisco A21 battle drones my Grandson and I have a blast with these drones every time he comes over! You can 2 or more of them up at the same time and you can actually have Drone Wars were you can shoot each other's drones out of the air it makes for a great family game night lol! I see in the 4K video after you look at the water tower, when you turn and look down, the shadows are tinted blue. I have seen that in my 4K video too. Is there a way to make the shadows look blacker?
No not at the same time, you only have to do that the very first time to bind the drone and controller after that you can just turn on the controller and just press the unlock button to start the motors, Thanks for Watching!
Flew mine today for the first time. It performed great for the first 10 Minutes. Then all of a sudden it had a mind of its own and starting making 15’ diameter circles and it would take off ij random directions. I returned it shut it off and tried again. Ran good then low battery signal came on and it took off into the trees. The emergency stop Didn’t even kill the motor. I had to grab it out of the trees and pull the battery to turn it off. We just had a thunderstorm previous but could it have been the weather that messed up the gps signal?
No mate, it’s because it’s a pile of junk, it’s cpu is cheap crap and unreliable, save your money and buy a 2nd hand DJI spark. You can pick them up quite cheap now
When showing the setup, it looked as if the maximum distance was only 249 feet. What's up with that? The FAA max for height is 400 feet, isn't it? Great video and explanations.
Lol I just looked at the video that is a symbol not a number 2 I had to zoom in to double check lol. The max distance of the drone is 3277FT (in perfect conditions) and the max hight is 393ft most manufacturers set the max hight between 393 & 396ft in order to keep you from accidentally going over 400ft. @@neddufrene7281 Absolutely anytime! Just a little FYI if you are doing the roof inspection and getting paid for it you need to get your "Part 107 License" to avoid getting into trouble and or Fined by the FAA.
You should also consider dji mini 2 for photography specifically. Mini 2 (NOT mini se) can take raw image files. Would give you a better chance at really clear pictures.
Could you do a video focusing on how it performs in high wind?? That has been one of my biggest concerns with drones and siding what's the best one to buy. Where I live there's always high wind in the afternoon. Not like a hurricane or anything like that, but it's windy you know? And I need something that can withstand wind. Maybe like....... 5 to 10 mph or something like that. Thank you so much.
I hear ya! I live in Lubbock TX and the wind socks most of the time usually the Drones have a wind resistance level posted somewhere (usually in the Amazon description) except if you actually look up what that level is in MPH I doubt that they are accurate lol! Because a level 5 is like 30+ mph lol! I usually drop that number by 2, the HS720G could probably handle up to 20mph but it would be fighting the wind so much it kill your battery time drastically I would say your good to fly it in up 13 to 15mph wind it might dance around a little in the air but it would definitely handle it, in 5 to 10mph you should have no problems at all plus it's GPS so even if the wind knocks the drone off course a little it would still keep it's position, I honestly think the only thing you would have to worry about in 5 to 10mph winds would be the battery not last quite as long. I'll work on a wind resistance video with a few of my Drones.
@flipmode00 not sure about that one, if you can figure out how to get it to pair with the drone I would imagine it would work but as far as more power it wouldn't give the motors more power it may extend the over all range of the drone.
Not necessarily, if your flying in the exact same location, but to insure an accurate return to home I would definitely recommend calibrating it before each first flight!
I bought the 720e because it was super cheap on sale came with two batteries. 210$ for that. Haven't operated it yet still learning with a crash test drone(cheap china ordered).last week I got a notice about a sale on the 720g. I was thinking about swapping the e-model for the g-model. But when I seen how much cheaper it was I couldn't resist. Amazon was hoping having a 37% off sale on the 720g. That means I got them both for about 400$ . I just need to figure out how to fly them both at same time. Anyway I got killer deal for both and the sale on the 720g is still going hope everyone gets a great deal too. Thank for the learning video. I can't wait to fly them I have some cool places not to far from home to check out ..
I hit home button and it flew way to the east by 30 feet and into the woods. Never did that before. It's the E not G. Any ideas what happened? I am not sure, but now I have to replace an arm and solder all the wires back in. GRRRRR
The last 3 Links in my description will take you were you need to go FAA Drone Zone > is were you register your name the cost is $5 and the will give you a Registration Number that is good for 2yrs and you can use it on ALL your Drone. You can absolutely use a tablet as long as it can connect to a wifi signal I believe Amazon even sells a tablet holder that you can mount to the controller

Hi need your help... the take-off and landing button on my controller is taking photos instead of taking off and landing..... this was working fine at first but then this happened. Can you help?

I hv to use the control to take off and land n don't like doing that one bit... loved the way I was taking off and land with the 1 button touch

Honestly that's comparing apples to oranges lol! The camera on the mini 2 way better with 4k @30fps and you actually have camera settings like ISO, Shutter speed and EV plus the HS720G in has a 2-Axis Gimbal the mini 2 has a 3-Axis Gimbal and the connection technology on the mini use Ocusync 3.0 where your connecting your cellphone to the controller with an RC cable which allows the mini 2 to its 8+ mile range and the live video feed (FPV) is a lot more stable, Holy Stone is getting better they just sent me their new HS720R it will be available on July 27th and the camera on the 720R is awesome 4K 30fps with a 3-Axis Gimbal "Finally " but anyway if your trying to decide which drone to get I absolutely recommend getting the Mini 2 or the Mini 3 Pro
@HubCityDrones thank you very much for the great reply. The drone is a little cheaper than the mini 2. Is the mini 2 se... it has a 2.7k 30fps and I think a lot of similarities to the mini 2 just a little cheaper but essentially the same with the camera a little different. A 10km range according to the description. But it is only 330 vs the holystone which was 230 and had the 4k and sensors, avoidance. But it seemed like even the mini 2 se was a better drone even without the features and the 2.7k. It goes 10km according to the description. If i could afford a mini 3 pro, i would definitely go with that i love the 3 cameras. But it is at least triple the price. Do you have any connection issues? I saw someone that lost signal at about 300 to 500 meters every flight... i was pretty much decided on the dji but enjoyed your video and was just curious on your personal opinion. So thanks. Even the 2 is about 489, i think.... but i think for my first drone, the mini 2 se might be best option to get used to flying. But i am excited to purchase next week.
@johnnyappleseed6887 uou honestly can't go wrong with a DJI I have the Mini 3 Pro and I love it, definitely worth the extra money, if you do go with DJI I would highly recommend paying for their "care refresh" especially if it's going to be your first drone, another thing to keep in mind the range that these drone manufacturers claim is in Perfect Condition, no cell tower, power lines, mountains or trees to interrupt the signal! I have not had any connections or loss of connections issue with my mini 3 and if you do experience anything like that try to remember the drone has GPS Failsafe Features so it will automatically fly back to where it took off from if it loses connection with the controller for more 6 sec or if the battery gets to low! Have and let me know which one get!
Not necessarily! I always do it before my first flight and then when I swap the batteries out, the compass calibration just helps the drone with more accurate coordinates for the GPS features and the Return To Home. But you can get away with out doing if your flying in the same spot for the day if you move to a different location then I would calibrate it again.
You can absolutely use the A7 I am not sure if it will fit in cellphone holder on the controller I used a note 20 ultra in the video and I believe it is just under 4" wide and fit just fine with a little wiggle room you might have to buy a tablet attachment on Amazon the sell all kinds of them.
My nephew got the d model for Xmas he set it up but didn't install a SD card and took it to a field unfortunately as soon as he turned it on it went up a few metres and just disappeared, no GPS signal or anything and we can't find it. £160 and he didn't even get to fly it, is this common and is their a way to find it somehow using his phone.

@@rudyracine8853 Read, Read, Read Your Manual you can to Holy Stone.Com and download a PDF version of the manual and then you can read through while your waiting on your drone to be delivered, I would keep the drone in beginner mode for at least a battery cycle or two put that dude in the air and let him hover (it won't go anywhere) and go through your app and settings and get familiar with it all, watch you surroundings (no obstacle avoidance) and just have fun with it and it's going to be nerve racking at first but try to remember if you lose sight of it or just get to nervous hit that RTH (Return to Home) Button the drone will always come back to you by itself, in the setting on the app set your RTH height high enough so the drone won't hit anything on its way back to you (I keep mine at about 140/160ft) have fun don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions or need any help!
I Just Spoke with Holy Stone and the batteries are out of stock on Amazon but if you send them email battery@holystone.com with your Amazon order number they hook you up with free battery or you can buy one. They can send it from their main warehouse.

I just bought this drone after watching a lot of these videos, and I was so excited. I got it and I contacted the company to find out if it was going to be remote id compliant... yep, NO, oh, but you can get a $300 module to add to it to make it compliant. Gee thanks, the combo of price drone and the extra RId module is equal to a mini3 pro. :( I am so disappointed. My fault for not asking first. I thought companies were told they had to comply this year with models being sold after 2022. Big mistake.
What part of the Setup? A red flashing light usually means it is looking for a GPS signal still or it is waiting for the Compass Calibration, there should be a page in your manual that will explain what the LED colors mean
@@HubCityDrones I just purchased it this morning and during the calibration everything goes as should but once I’m done with the last 3 turns and set it back on level ground. The light instead turning yellow or green flashes read but reads 14 gps and won’t do anything.
@franksta2006yeah are you drone batteries fully charged? A slow flashing Red means the battery is around 30% a fast flashing Red means the battery is around 20% you can also get a Red LED if the Drone is on but the controller is not paired to the Drone yet

Did the Rubber Grips fall out of it? Also you can get a thick cushion like tape (not sure what it's called exactly) but it's like a 3M type tape and cut it into a small strip and stick it on the top and bottom of the cellphone holder, I had to do this on a couple of other Drone controllers and it works great, it give the phone something to grip on to!
Make sure you have pulled the phone holder out all the way. You have to give it a good pull. When it is out all the way the tray should tilt up a little. It's best if you do not have a case on your phone.
Actually not very impressive to me. ...It didn't seem all that stable. Comments about its "fighting the wind" ??? Didn't notice the trees moving at all to indicate a windy condition.🤔
@@MrBlueSkeyes thanks but if you didn't buy on Amazon or their store it's an unauthorized dealer so if you didn't spend 299 they won't help you ,my 720g is not safe first time it went backwards and left sideways it hit a wall it was at 4feet so nothing happened to the propellers but I called them talked to 3 the third deal with eBay purchases but still they told me they only help those who buy on their official eBay store ,that's why I say they have no warranty because it should be one when you buy new so they have no way to register the serial number there's no website to do that so when you call customer service I'd you're not on their list of their official store or Amazon you're on your own ..it's like buying a no name drone from china
@@MrBlueSkeyes I kept flying as is and again I was in a park and it went backwards to the left this time was about 10 feet Altitude into a tree, I was just going up straight to take video of the sunset (when is on gps up is really steady even when it's windy because the gps is holding the position) but as soon as I take control I was going forward and spinning at the same time (makes a curve) but suddenly again it went sideways left and backwards ( I was going forward how can it go left sideways if the right joystick is forward) plus it went backwards at the same time both are done with the right joystick this time it hit the tree and every branch and landed upside down still no damage but the gimbal doesn't work now

I bought this drone after I've seen a couple of UA-cam videos, including this one. What a waste of money! Image is 720p at the best, not 4k, when it flies it's chopy, Image it's blurry and low quality. Point of interest, you can't control that option, it's just doing a circle around whatever it wants. Follow me, option: it's not true. Follow me it just follows the remote. If you put the remote down it will just film that. Videos are maximum 5 minutes long each. I don't recommend it and I will never trust someone who has 15 drones behind him as this means he is just making advertisement and not sharing real informations.🤥
Um OK! So first off Follow-Me Mode DOES NOT follow the controller it follows your Cellphone it connects to the GPS signal of your phone, as far as your videos I have plenty of videos with this drone that are Crystal Clear and a hell of a lot longer than 5mins (did you that Gopro's record in 5 minute intervals too!) You probably either forgot to take the protective film off the camera you also won't get 4k video if you don't use an SD Card and you have to download the videos from the SD card to your cellphone or computer, give a try and click on the details option after you download the video and it will show 3840×2160 and your point of interest problem you have to put the drone over the top of the object you want the Drone to circle, Sounds to me like a "Drone Dummy" that didn't read his Manual! Oh and just a little secret it over 30 drones and check this out I PAID FOR EVERY ONE OF THEM!!! Thanks for Watching!
@HubCityDrones Thanks for replying back to me. The idea behind my first comment is that someone with so much knowledge about drones, like you , should highlight the cons too. I'm a drone dummy, yes, it's my first drone, but, regardless the experience, I made videos with it while flying, I hold it in my hand and walk with it while filming, I made videos in the morning, afternoon and evening, indoors and outdoors. The video quality is by far one of the worst I've seen. I filmed in the same place , same direction with my gopro set at 4k and 24fps , with my phone set at 4k as it has 8k option too and with the drone then I watched the videos on my laptop. Image stabilisation on the drone is almost zero, when you move it around everything is blurry , if I'm filming myself from more than 15 metres away I can't recognise myself in the fideo as is hard to distinct faces at that distance. There is nothing on the lens as I peeled the plastic film when I first used it. I understand that this isn't an £1000 drone and it's not perfect but I can't afford an £1000 drone and this doesn't means that I can afford to waste £300 on this one too. I decided to buy it after I've seen couple UA-cam videos, including yours and in here video quality it looks completely different from what I'm getting. Maybe because of editing, I don't know.
The 720 was ok and so popular I knew they would do this the 720 was jus a bit to heavy for the power it had and the connection was the greatest but one thing I LOVED about it was the light bars on the underside arms. Which they didn't put on this model which is just crazy to me I really don't understand that. Who wants a drone with no cool let's on it? I just idk I can't figure out y they would take away an amazing feature like that? It's a shame I'd have already bought this one. But I bought the air 2 instead and spent way to much. That case is sweet tho.
I thought you'd remodel was kind of flimsy it took 12 hours to charge a battery of which you only get one and there's no damn lights on the thing you can't fly at dusk

I was bought this drone as a christmas present, its now the 14th January 2023 and im about to take it out for the first time. Since christmas day 2022 I have watched many videos on explaining how to set this up for flight and everyt single one of them scared the living daylights out of me. Am so glad it helped! It's easier said than done but try not to be scared or nervous make sure your in well open area and just launch that little dude in the air and take slow I would take-off and then let the drone just hover and then turn it around and awe it Left and right slightly and the go up and down a little bit then I would fly it away from you about 60ft or so and Ascend (go up) about 80ft or so and press your RTH (Return to Home) button and let the drone do its thing this way you will have a little more confidence that that drone will find its way back to all by itself that RTH Button is your best friend just make sure to calibrate your compass and gyros! Excellent video for the HS720G. I bought the version that came with an extra battery. One clarification. To switch from Mode 2 to Mode 1 on the controller, which switches the up/down-rotate left right (left joy stick in Mode 2) and fly forward/backward-left/right (right joy stick in Mode 2) from the left joy stick to the right joy stick, you start with the controller turned off. Hold the lock button down and turn the controller on. Release the lock button and press the return-to-home button for 3 seconds. That switches it to Mode 1 (i.e. the up/down-rotate left right (left joy stick switches to right joy stick in Mode 1) and fly forward/backward-left/right (right joy stick switches to left joy stick in Mode 1)). Mine did not default back to Mode 2 after turning it off and turning it back on again, so I had to repeat the above instructions to switch it back from Mode 1 to Mode 2. I, myself, prefer Mode 2 with the up/down-rotate left/right on the left joy stick and fly forward/backward-left/right on the right joy stick.

I haven't taken out to an open area yet to do a good Range test on it, but in my neighborhood (with cell towers, WiFi and Power lines) I have maxed the FPV Range at about 1063ft and max controller Range I got was 2779ft that pretty good with all the interference I have around here, if your recording video the drone will keep recording to the SD Card even after you losing your FPV View on your cellphone

I took my new hs720g up for its first flight and I’m impressed. Got an extra battery on the way. I definitely caught the bug and appreciate your video. I was trying to figure out why when I hit the land function the drone would go up first and then land as it was hovering at my height first. But I understand now as I see it does that in your video and it’s a safety feature. Just caught me off guard as I though the drone would just land as it was at about 6 feet off the ground but shot up first then landed.

@@Humble-Engine the DJI Mini 2 is pretty bad ass and not hard at all to learn everything but if you can afford it the Mini 3 Pro is absolutely Amazing I am actually finishing up my review on the DJI Mini 3 Pro and the Mini 2, the Mini 3 Pro is up there on price but Amazon has Affirm now so you can get the Mini 3 Pro fly More Plus Combo ($1158) with little or no money down and make monthly payments ($32 a month roughly) lol!!!

Got a HS720 for my 60th birthday last month loved it so much I just got the 720G. Hoping to get my part 107 lic soon!
I really love your video. However I cannot get my drone to calibrate. First of all my camera seems to be kind of stuck, it doesn't correct itself like yours did, it just sits kind of half cockeyed all the time. It doesn't seem to move freely like yours did. I don't want to mess it with it too much. So I have the remote paired to it, and I think I'm through the horizontal part also All it does now is blink green I can't seem to get past the vertical calibration. I tried pulling the batteries out of the units, both of them. And I've started completely from scratch but it seems to be stuck in the mode between horizontal and vertical, it just keeps flashing green. Not to mention my battery will not charge past three quarters. I already contacted customer service and they said they were going to send me a new battery. I still think that I should be able to calibrate it with 3/4 charge. I'm super frustrated I'm wondering if it got damaged in shipping. Customer service seems really good except for they're not that good on the technical part of it. I know everybody says these are such great drones, but my experience so far has been horrible. Maybe I got a lemon. If the camera was slightly messed up with that have anything to do with the calibration? Is there any help you can offer me would be great I would love to be able to just start from scratch. Obviously I can't unpair the remote from the unit, that's done. I thought that if I just rotated it vertically since it's already blinking green it should get me to the final gyro calibration, but it doesn't seem to be happening for me. Extremely frustrating.
If you power on the Drone and connect to the Drones wifi signal and open the app I think in the settings (gear wheel top right corner) there is a section that says sensors, if you open that section you can do the compass calibrate from there, Tap start and a picture of the drone will popup in the middle of the screen to start the horizontal calibration keep rotating the drone until that popup picture changes to the vertical calibration the keep turning the drone (vertically) until that popup goes away and I believe it will say "Calibration Complete" am not positive that that option is there but most HS apps have it, if not look in the manual and there is a section on compass calibration it will tell what color the LED lights will turn and blink for each phase of the compass calibration, it could be your not making enough rotation on the horizontal cal in order for it to move to the vertical cal. The camera should level out after the Calibration is completed, then you can do the Gyro Calibration but you can also do the Gyro Calibration before the the Compass Calibration I just always do it after the compass. Let me know if you get it going, also it is possible to get a lemon sometimes, try to record what your doing and what the drone is or isn't doing, Holy Stone will want to see video before they replace it, or another option if you can't get it going and you purchased it from Amazon if your still inside the return window I would return it and then buy another one. As far as a mini drone for indoors I would have to say my 2 favorites would be the Sansisco D15 mini drone or Holy Stone's HS360 mini drone I would probably lean more towards the D15 because it is foldable and maneuvers really well plus it is pretty quiet for mini drone but if your looking for a Mini Drone to fly indoors and fly with the kids I would absolutely recommend Sansisco A21 battle drones my Grandson and I have a blast with these drones every time he comes over! You can 2 or more of them up at the same time and you can actually have Drone Wars were you can shoot each other's drones out of the air it makes for a great family game night lol! I see in the 4K video after you look at the water tower, when you turn and look down, the shadows are tinted blue. I have seen that in my 4K video too. Is there a way to make the shadows look blacker?
Not through the drone itself, but you can edit it after you download the video, I've had to do that with mini 3 pro before, not sure what causes that!

No not at the same time, you only have to do that the very first time to bind the drone and controller after that you can just turn on the controller and just press the unlock button to start the motors, Thanks for Watching!
Flew mine today for the first time. It performed great for the first 10
Minutes. Then all of a sudden it had a mind of its own and starting making 15’ diameter circles and it would take off ij random directions. I returned it shut it off and tried again. Ran good then low battery signal came on and it took off into the trees. The emergency stop
Didn’t even kill the motor. I had to grab it out of the trees and pull the battery to turn it off. We just had a thunderstorm previous but could it have been the weather that messed up the gps signal?
No mate, it’s because it’s a pile of junk, it’s cpu is cheap crap and unreliable, save your money and buy a 2nd hand DJI spark. You can pick them up quite cheap now

When showing the setup, it looked as if the maximum distance was only 249 feet. What's up with that? The FAA max for height is 400 feet, isn't it? Great video and explanations.
Lol I just looked at the video that is a symbol not a number 2 I had to zoom in to double check lol. The max distance of the drone is 3277FT (in perfect conditions) and the max hight is 393ft most manufacturers set the max hight between 393 & 396ft in order to keep you from accidentally going over 400ft. @@neddufrene7281 Absolutely anytime! Just a little FYI if you are doing the roof inspection and getting paid for it you need to get your "Part 107 License" to avoid getting into trouble and or Fined by the FAA.
You should also consider dji mini 2 for photography specifically. Mini 2 (NOT mini se) can take raw image files. Would give you a better chance at really clear pictures.

Could you do a video focusing on how it performs in high wind?? That has been one of my biggest concerns with drones and siding what's the best one to buy. Where I live there's always high wind in the afternoon. Not like a hurricane or anything like that, but it's windy you know? And I need something that can withstand wind. Maybe like....... 5 to 10 mph or something like that. Thank you so much.
I hear ya! I live in Lubbock TX and the wind socks most of the time usually the Drones have a wind resistance level posted somewhere (usually in the Amazon description) except if you actually look up what that level is in MPH I doubt that they are accurate lol! Because a level 5 is like 30+ mph lol! I usually drop that number by 2, the HS720G could probably handle up to 20mph but it would be fighting the wind so much it kill your battery time drastically I would say your good to fly it in up 13 to 15mph wind it might dance around a little in the air but it would definitely handle it, in 5 to 10mph you should have no problems at all plus it's GPS so even if the wind knocks the drone off course a little it would still keep it's position, I honestly think the only thing you would have to worry about in 5 to 10mph winds would be the battery not last quite as long. I'll work on a wind resistance video with a few of my Drones.

@flipmode00 not sure about that one, if you can figure out how to get it to pair with the drone I would imagine it would work but as far as more power it wouldn't give the motors more power it may extend the over all range of the drone.

Not necessarily, if your flying in the exact same location, but to insure an accurate return to home I would definitely recommend calibrating it before each first flight!
That's kind of a tough sell against the DJI Mini SE. 3 gimbal and sub 250gram weight. Holy Stone needed to come in with a lot lower price.
Absolutely true... for the money there's not another drone on the planet that is as capable or as good the DJI Mini SE.
I just purchased for $199. Have zero issue with that cost for this type of beginner pro style drone
I bought the 720e because it was super cheap on sale came with two batteries. 210$ for that. Haven't operated it yet still learning with a crash test drone(cheap china ordered).last week I got a notice about a sale on the 720g. I was thinking about swapping the e-model for the g-model. But when I seen how much cheaper it was I couldn't resist. Amazon was hoping having a 37% off sale on the 720g. That means I got them both for about 400$ . I just need to figure out how to fly them both at same time. Anyway I got killer deal for both and the sale on the 720g is still going hope everyone gets a great deal too. Thank for the learning video. I can't wait to fly them I have some cool places not to far from home to check out ..

I hit home button and it flew way to the east by 30 feet and into the woods. Never did that before. It's the E not G. Any ideas what happened? I am not sure, but now I have to replace an arm and solder all the wires back in. GRRRRR

FAA Drone Zone > is were you register your name the cost is $5 and the will give you a Registration Number that is good for 2yrs and you can use it on ALL your Drone. (Easy process)
The T.R.U.S.T Test Link will take to the now required test (it is impossible to fail even if you know nothing about drones) they will email you a completion certificate (the test is Free)
The third link will take you to a website (not affiliated with the FAA) and you can choose the color of the decal and the info you want on it with your FAA Registration Number I believe the cost of the decals is around $12, if you don't want to spend the $12 you can also write your FAA Registration Number on your Drone with a Sharpie (permanent marker)

You can absolutely use a tablet as long as it can connect to a wifi signal I believe Amazon even sells a tablet holder that you can mount to the controller

Honestly that's comparing apples to oranges lol! The camera on the mini 2 way better with 4k @30fps and you actually have camera settings like ISO, Shutter speed and EV plus the HS720G in has a 2-Axis Gimbal the mini 2 has a 3-Axis Gimbal and the connection technology on the mini use Ocusync 3.0 where your connecting your cellphone to the controller with an RC cable which allows the mini 2 to its 8+ mile range and the live video feed (FPV) is a lot more stable, Holy Stone is getting better they just sent me their new HS720R it will be available on July 27th and the camera on the 720R is awesome 4K 30fps with a 3-Axis Gimbal "Finally " but anyway if your trying to decide which drone to get I absolutely recommend getting the Mini 2 or the Mini 3 Pro
@HubCityDrones thank you very much for the great reply. The drone is a little cheaper than the mini 2. Is the mini 2 se... it has a 2.7k 30fps and I think a lot of similarities to the mini 2 just a little cheaper but essentially the same with the camera a little different. A 10km range according to the description. But it is only 330 vs the holystone which was 230 and had the 4k and sensors, avoidance. But it seemed like even the mini 2 se was a better drone even without the features and the 2.7k. It goes 10km according to the description. If i could afford a mini 3 pro, i would definitely go with that i love the 3 cameras. But it is at least triple the price. Do you have any connection issues? I saw someone that lost signal at about 300 to 500 meters every flight... i was pretty much decided on the dji but enjoyed your video and was just curious on your personal opinion. So thanks. Even the 2 is about 489, i think.... but i think for my first drone, the mini 2 se might be best option to get used to flying. But i am excited to purchase next week.
@johnnyappleseed6887 uou honestly can't go wrong with a DJI I have the Mini 3 Pro and I love it, definitely worth the extra money, if you do go with DJI I would highly recommend paying for their "care refresh" especially if it's going to be your first drone, another thing to keep in mind the range that these drone manufacturers claim is in Perfect Condition, no cell tower, power lines, mountains or trees to interrupt the signal! I have not had any connections or loss of connections issue with my mini 3 and if you do experience anything like that try to remember the drone has GPS Failsafe Features so it will automatically fly back to where it took off from if it loses connection with the controller for more 6 sec or if the battery gets to low! Have and let me know which one get!

Do you have to do a calibration before every use?
Not necessarily! I always do it before my first flight and then when I swap the batteries out, the compass calibration just helps the drone with more accurate coordinates for the GPS features and the Return To Home. But you can get away with out doing if your flying in the same spot for the day if you move to a different location then I would calibrate it again.
You mentioined canceling RTH once the drone gets close and bringing it down manually from that point. HOw do you cancel RTH?

You can absolutely use the A7 I am not sure if it will fit in cellphone holder on the controller I used a note 20 ultra in the video and I believe it is just under 4" wide and fit just fine with a little wiggle room you might have to buy a tablet attachment on Amazon the sell all kinds of them.

My nephew got the d model for Xmas he set it up but didn't install a SD card and took it to a field unfortunately as soon as he turned it on it went up a few metres and just disappeared, no GPS signal or anything and we can't find it. £160 and he didn't even get to fly it, is this common and is their a way to find it somehow using his phone.
There should be a "find my drone" feature in the app it will show you the last place the drone was it should be in the settings of the app

I don't belive there is! I would connect the drone to the app and see if there is a gimble Calibration option under settings or camera parameters

@@rudyracine8853 Read, Read, Read Your Manual you can to Holy Stone.Com and download a PDF version of the manual and then you can read through while your waiting on your drone to be delivered, I would keep the drone in beginner mode for at least a battery cycle or two put that dude in the air and let him hover (it won't go anywhere) and go through your app and settings and get familiar with it all, watch you surroundings (no obstacle avoidance) and just have fun with it and it's going to be nerve racking at first but try to remember if you lose sight of it or just get to nervous hit that RTH (Return to Home) Button the drone will always come back to you by itself, in the setting on the app set your RTH height high enough so the drone won't hit anything on its way back to you (I keep mine at about 140/160ft) have fun don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions or need any help!

I Just Spoke with Holy Stone and the batteries are out of stock on Amazon but if you send them email battery@holystone.com with your Amazon order number they hook you up with free battery or you can buy one. They can send it from their main warehouse.

Looks to me like the drones video is a little blurry, Unlike the 700e and the 720e. I like theirs better...
I just bought this drone after watching a lot of these videos, and I was so excited. I got it and I contacted the company to find out if it was going to be remote id compliant... yep, NO, oh, but you can get a $300 module to add to it to make it compliant. Gee thanks, the combo of price drone and the extra RId module is equal to a mini3 pro. :( I am so disappointed. My fault for not asking first. I thought companies were told they had to comply this year with models being sold after 2022. Big mistake.
I keep getting red flashing light during set up?
What part of the Setup? A red flashing light usually means it is looking for a GPS signal still or it is waiting for the Compass Calibration, there should be a page in your manual that will explain what the LED colors mean
@@HubCityDrones I just purchased it this morning and during the calibration everything goes as should but once I’m done with the last 3 turns and set it back on level ground. The light instead turning yellow or green flashes read but reads 14 gps and won’t do anything.
@franksta2006yeah are you drone batteries fully charged? A slow flashing Red means the battery is around 30% a fast flashing Red means the battery is around 20% you can also get a Red LED if the Drone is on but the controller is not paired to the Drone yet

Did the Rubber Grips fall out of it? Also you can get a thick cushion like tape (not sure what it's called exactly) but it's like a 3M type tape and cut it into a small strip and stick it on the top and bottom of the cellphone holder, I had to do this on a couple of other Drone controllers and it works great, it give the phone something to grip on to!
Make sure you have pulled the phone holder out all the way. You have to give it a good pull. When it is out all the way the tray should tilt up a little. It's best if you do not have a case on your phone.

@@MrBlueSkeyes thanks but if you didn't buy on Amazon or their store it's an unauthorized dealer so if you didn't spend 299 they won't help you ,my 720g is not safe first time it went backwards and left sideways it hit a wall it was at 4feet so nothing happened to the propellers but I called them talked to 3 the third deal with eBay purchases but still they told me they only help those who buy on their official eBay store ,that's why I say they have no warranty because it should be one when you buy new so they have no way to register the serial number there's no website to do that so when you call customer service I'd you're not on their list of their official store or Amazon you're on your own ..it's like buying a no name drone from china
@@MrBlueSkeyes I kept flying as is and again I was in a park and it went backwards to the left this time was about 10 feet Altitude into a tree, I was just going up straight to take video of the sunset (when is on gps up is really steady even when it's windy because the gps is holding the position) but as soon as I take control I was going forward and spinning at the same time (makes a curve) but suddenly again it went sideways left and backwards ( I was going forward how can it go left sideways if the right joystick is forward) plus it went backwards at the same time both are done with the right joystick this time it hit the tree and every branch and landed upside down still no damage but the gimbal doesn't work now

I bought this drone after I've seen a couple of UA-cam videos, including this one. What a waste of money! Image is 720p at the best, not 4k, when it flies it's chopy, Image it's blurry and low quality. Point of interest, you can't control that option, it's just doing a circle around whatever it wants. Follow me, option: it's not true. Follow me it just follows the remote. If you put the remote down it will just film that. Videos are maximum 5 minutes long each. I don't recommend it and I will never trust someone who has 15 drones behind him as this means he is just making advertisement and not sharing real informations.🤥
Um OK! So first off Follow-Me Mode DOES NOT follow the controller it follows your Cellphone it connects to the GPS signal of your phone, as far as your videos I have plenty of videos with this drone that are Crystal Clear and a hell of a lot longer than 5mins (did you that Gopro's record in 5 minute intervals too!) You probably either forgot to take the protective film off the camera you also won't get 4k video if you don't use an SD Card and you have to download the videos from the SD card to your cellphone or computer, give a try and click on the details option after you download the video and it will show 3840×2160 and your point of interest problem you have to put the drone over the top of the object you want the Drone to circle, Sounds to me like a "Drone Dummy" that didn't read his Manual! Oh and just a little secret it over 30 drones and check this out I PAID FOR EVERY ONE OF THEM!!! Thanks for Watching!
@HubCityDrones Thanks for replying back to me. The idea behind my first comment is that someone with so much knowledge about drones, like you , should highlight the cons too. I'm a drone dummy, yes, it's my first drone, but, regardless the experience, I made videos with it while flying, I hold it in my hand and walk with it while filming, I made videos in the morning, afternoon and evening, indoors and outdoors. The video quality is by far one of the worst I've seen. I filmed in the same place , same direction with my gopro set at 4k and 24fps , with my phone set at 4k as it has 8k option too and with the drone then I watched the videos on my laptop. Image stabilisation on the drone is almost zero, when you move it around everything is blurry , if I'm filming myself from more than 15 metres away I can't recognise myself in the fideo as is hard to distinct faces at that distance. There is nothing on the lens as I peeled the plastic film when I first used it. I understand that this isn't an £1000 drone and it's not perfect but I can't afford an £1000 drone and this doesn't means that I can afford to waste £300 on this one too. I decided to buy it after I've seen couple UA-cam videos, including yours and in here video quality it looks completely different from what I'm getting. Maybe because of editing, I don't know.

The 720 was ok and so popular I knew they would do this the 720 was jus a bit to heavy for the power it had and the connection was the greatest but one thing I LOVED about it was the light bars on the underside arms. Which they didn't put on this model which is just crazy to me I really don't understand that. Who wants a drone with no cool let's on it? I just idk I can't figure out y they would take away an amazing feature like that? It's a shame I'd have already bought this one. But I bought the air 2 instead and spent way to much. That case is sweet tho.
