It is a Chinese old saying, teaching people how to fish is better than just giving people fish. The origins of the West claiming China was concentrated people in Xinjiang, is exactly how the Chinese government trying to help the poor to get rid of poverty. Normally if there are homeless people found in China, the local government will firstly find out where they came from, then try to reach out to their family, if so, then pay the tickets for them to head back to their hometowns, if not, then send them to shelters first, then ask them to join the local training centers, which would teach you kinds of skills that you can at least get a proper job, at least getting a job as a manufacturing worker in factory, instead of just providing them some food and clothes, and nothing would change. Many of those Uyghurs that were sent to the camps, were highly uneducated, poor, so they were easily getting lit up to join the terrorists.
One key factor to being homeless people and terrorist, is they are both poor and being unable to get rid of that. Provide them a certain skill of making a living, and also the environment, then you can solve most of these homeless and terrorism problems.

Since i moved from Massachusetts back in 2010. To Pennsylvania. I have seen a massive increase in homeless less than ten minutes from my house. Back in Massachusetts i saw a lot of homeless from way back from the 1980's to now. I used to drive as an interstate truck driver and hit all lower 48 states. And i saw plenty of homelessness. Especially in the urban and metropolitan areas. My cross country trips in my car going east to west also showed homelessness. I am now over 50 years old and i got my CDL license at 19 and did several road trip across the country in my private vehicle. I lived in Florida, California, Massachusetts, and now Pennsylvania. My current home town is NOT in the Metropolitan area of Philadelphia. I am actually in the area of the Amish. But here homelessness is growing not ten minutes walking from my house.

The United States, Germany, and Japan are all developed and advanced countries, yet they still have many homeless people living on the streets. China just eradicated poverty in 2020, and there are still 600 million people earning less than 1000 RMB per month. Why don't we see homeless people in China? Don't you find it strange?
When it comes to national power, China certainly can't compare to the U.S., Europe, or Japan. So why are there fewer homeless people in China? The U.S., Europe, and Japan are not only advanced and developed but also welfare states that take far better care of the poor and low-income households than China. Given that China only eradicated poverty in 2020, it’s incomparable, which raises suspicion: why are there fewer homeless people in China?
Chinese netizens say that the Chinese government's urban planning usually includes the planning and management of public spaces. These measures lead to homeless people being restricted to certain areas or being forced to leave the city centers. Don't you know? Is there any human rights and freedom in this? "In Chinese cities, homeless people are not allowed to exist. The urban management officers and police will drive you out of the city. Whether you live or die back in the countryside is not important." "China is too unfree. Look at Western countries; you can do whatever you want, and no one will care. If you want to be a homeless person on the streets, you can. That's so free. The Chinese government is too authoritarian and excessive, not allowing Chinese people this choice. No wonder Western countries constantly criticize China for not having freedom, but the Chinese government just doesn't give people this choice."
Some in China say, "Sanhe Gods (drifters) and homeless people with mental disorders are taken to shelters and welfare centers." Actually, which country doesn’t have such welfare policies or measures? But people have the freedom to choose not to go. Do you understand? Usually, these places have poor conditions and many problems. In foreign countries, homeless people often don't like to go there and have the freedom to choose not to. What about China? Do they have the freedom to say no? To be blunt, it means being caught and locked up! Where is the human rights and freedom in that? Do you understand now?
Every affluent and welfare state has homeless people, but not China? China prides itself on having no homeless people, but they are all driven out of the cities. Whether they live or die doesn't matter. China doesn't even allow the freedom to be homeless!
When something exists everywhere in the world but not in China, you should be cautious! The underlying reasons are often too ugly to mention.

Homeless crisis comes from capitalism + neoliberalism + bad use of taxes. It comes from a state that serves the interests of the big bourgeoises, what the common people call "elite". Those are the bourgeois liberal democracies/plutocracies we have in most of countries.
On the other hand we have China, a true democracy that will always serve the interesest of the masses, the proletarian. Its a communist party that had to adopt to material conditions, but still they are within marxist theoreticall framework. Those big bourgeoises in China dont control the state and the society.

Twenty years ago, most of those you saw were professional beggars, and their income was very good, several hundred yuan a day, five to ten times higher than the average person's income at that time. Because of their high income, they are controlled by the underworld, charging them protection money, so there are many violent cases,Like breaking someone's leg, getting sympathy, begging on the street,Countries to notice this, began to governance,The first is to crack down on gangsters,Then it built more than 2,800 shelters, and a lot of low-rent housing, public housing,Every county-level city has such construction. Finally, the staff took the beggars to the shelter,In fact, most of them have homes and farmland in the countryside, so most of them are sent back home, those who have no homes are fed and housed in relief centers for free, and those who are willing to work are provided with skills training to help find jobs. They can live in council housing,A 60-square-meter house can rent for less than $100 a year,In about three years, we solved the homeless problem,In addition, there is no real estate tax in China, so people don't have to worry about losing their homes because they can't pay the real estate tax,
Finally, I would like to say that in the view of Western media, aid stations = concentration camps, sending beggars to aid stations = restricting their freedom, training skills to find jobs = forced labor,🤣🤣🤣

There's an urgent need for land reform in British rural land ownership and development laws.
A third of rural areasin Britain have been owned by aristocrats and elite families for Centuries. High inequality in inherited weath divides and distablises the UK politically ( ruling vs working classes) and socially, which inevitably, hampers overall economic growth.
Land reforms will facilitate state acquisition of land which has little or no cultural heritage or conservation value. This frees up land for shortage problems in public housing, schools and hospitals facilities as well as infrastructure for telecommunication networks, public transport in underdeveloped areas.
Freeing up calibrated areas of such land will unleash their productive potential and fuel economic growth in other industries.

As a Chinese, I can say that there are definitely homeless people on the streets, but the overall number is so small that it is almost invisible. Since most people in China don't use drugs, homelessness is very unlikely. Wages in China are not very high, but they are enough to keep people afloat. It has been said that in China, homeless people are sent to fourth-tier cities, while first- and second-tier cities are off limits to them. Nowadays, even in China's smaller cities, you only see a very small number of homeless people, because the mentally ill are protected by their families and welfare agencies, and normal people are rarely homeless. In China's big cities, some people may be temporarily homeless when they run out of money, but they always find a job or go home and let their families help them.

One thing in these videos that are always forgotten there's no graffiti in China (around construction sites that look like graffiti are related to the project). Homeless in Sydney has gotten a lot worse, 20years ago there were some in the CBD but now the major hub suburbs have them also. Australia is huge with a tiny population, personally the government should buy those ready built cabin/houses from China which are really nice from inside and cost less than a micro car and place them in the outskirts of the cities for some housing relief. All the media do is blame migrants that are needed for the economy and don't want to talk about solutions. Confucius teaching is large part of Chinese life, it's something I recommend everyone to look into it also overlaps with true Abrahamic (Islam, Christianity and Judaism not Zionism) religious teachings. Australians now get a 15day visa free travel and the ticket is not expensive at all.

It’s because during Socialist times everyone was allocated a flat or a house. No one is homeless. Everyone has somewhere to stay even if it’s in their original hometown in the countryside far away. Or they have children or parents they can stay with. Unlike capitalist countries, everyone is out for themselves and have to buy their own houses or flats, and people are not always so close to their families. We used to have migrants begging in the 90s, 00s and 10s in some cities but China’s developed massively and many countryside towns are even better than cities - living standards, climate and benefits from the local government. Farmers are no longer poor, they get subsidies and receive benefits from local companies every year so they are no longer in dire poverty. They therefore do not need to beg.

I would sincerely wish a homeless person to find a home of his own, and I am willing to help him within my ability. But I would like to explain a phenomenon to you (professional homeless people). Professional homeless people often have a good family background, but they will dress themselves up as homeless people to beg, and take advantage of people's sympathy to make money. Because they beg on the crowded streets of downtown, people will often give them large sums of money. In this way, a professional homeless person is likely to make a profit of several hundred to several thousand yuan in one begging.

well the reason is simple. Chinese has different class city with the top city like shanghai being very unaffordable, while the low tier city is much more affordable. Shanghai is more than 5 times more expansive than low tier city. So naturally if one becomes poor in shanghai they go to more affordable cities, usually that’s just how Chinese people deal with their life. Also if one becomes really homeless in big cities, they will deported by government and move to villages, where they will be assigned some very easy labour job, and they will have food and shelter. China used to have many homeless too maybe 7 years ago, now I literally can’t find one when I go back last year.

Why there are almost no homeless people in China
First, almost all families in China have their own houses, which may be in the city or in the countryside. In any case, you will not be reduced to homelessness.
Second, Chinese people are very closely connected with their families. When a person is really desperate, his relatives are usually willing to take care of him for a period of time (not just his immediate family members). Of course, it is not a long-term care. He needs to work hard to get out of the predicament, otherwise people's patience is limited.
Third, the Chinese government has made a lot of efforts to eliminate poverty. China has an organization dedicated to solving street begging and homelessness. When encountering these homeless people or beggars, they will ask them why they are wandering and begging, and then give them solutions. (It may be to pay to send you back to your hometown, or help you find a job. If you can't work and have no house, the government will provide housing to ensure survival, usually for the disabled and mentally ill.)
Fourth, occasionally you will see people sleeping in public facilities in the city, but those people are generally not homeless or beggars. They may be people who stay in the city for a short period of time to save hotel fees. (I had this experience in Guangzhou 20 years ago. I needed to stay for a few days but didn’t want to spend money on a hotel, so I slept in an Internet cafe or park for a few days.)

If we don't see them as citizens of a great nation, we shouldn't expect them to see that in themselves, should we?
