He simply wasn't pacy enough to cause any trouble and in my opinion not on par with the other top three all rounders in bowling department.
No team of current era would have agreed to bat on a pitch like that.
I am and was die-hard fan of Kapil paaji. I remembered I started watching cricket when I was 6-7 years old. All I was interested to see was Kapil bowling and batting. I would never watch others. I would tell my mother to call me when Kapil paaji comes for batting.
Anyways, those days are gone. I am 42 now and I have lost complete interest from cricket when 20-20 format began. Nothing to criticize about today's cricketers, but strongly feel that cricket has lost beauty. It is all about money-transaction.
Kapil daa jawab nahi.
Same here. I used to watch, when he was performing either with the bat or ball
superb game, this match had that sunil incident with lilee and IND came back to win the test after conceding huge lead, they squared the series 1-1,,
Cricket Australia, please post the match highlights of the 3rd test match between India and Australia at the MCG in February 1981
Dennis lille was very calm😆😆😆..He knew the calibre of Kapil Dev👏👍👍👌🙏🙏🙇♂️🙇♂️..
As per ICC points table, Kapil was the second most impactful bowler in the world for both 1979-80 and '80-81 seasons, Lillee being number 1 during both. He saw Kapil as a contemporary at that point. In fact, their best ever ratings coincide, both are in the 875-880 range, only Kapil unfortunately couldn't top the rankings. But being second to Lillee, THE GOAT, is no mean feat.
Bowling action of kapil is very beautiful
No one like this in the world
Kapil Dev ne sirf cricket hi nahi ham Bharatiyon ka attitude he badal diya.1983 se pahele ham dar ke rahene vale ,hari huai mansiikata ke log the. Not only in cricket but also in other field also.1983 ke baad hame hamari takat ka pata laga. Aur aaj ham yanha hai.

Why was the MCG pitch and square so poor during this era?
Rodney Marsh looks like he was built like a tank. One guy you probably dont want to run into in a barfight :-)
कपिल देव का जवाब नहीं और वह जवाब का उत्तर अभी तक नहीं मिल पाया
Speed +Swing =Kapil Dev 👑

Great bowler
LEGEND 🙏🌹❤️🌹🌿
Today we don't see much of swing. Today's matches are really boring. If there's no swing, it's really boring to watch
Great kapil dev
3:38 how this notout
Kapil the great
Good bowling on a crumbling wicket helpful to bowlers
Not fever. Groin injury and Kapil taken pain killer and won the match for India. I heard commentary of that match on that day.
How old are you now??
yes, i remember that i read it in Hindu paper and also captain sunny had an issue with umpires regarding wrong or biased decisions actually he wants to walk out with his partner( i remember that it is cheten chauhan) and our team manager asked him to continue the match, the rest is history !
This looks like a cricket field for the the local village school here in Hoshiarpur.
