Curio Quilting & Completion - 3-Yard Quilt from Fabric Cafe

- 3-Yard Quilts were such a hit in 2023, I'm bringing them forward in to 2024! I've got so much more of my stash to work through, plus SO many 3-yard patterns from Fabric Cafe that I have yet to create. More fabric, more patterns, more fun!
The goal for these quilts is to use as much of my stash as possible in order to clear space for new fabrics, notions and more! In the end, the quilts will be donated to local charities and individuals in need of a new quilt to call their own.

It is a sweet quilt. A purply person will love it.
Thanks for sharing
This quilt will make someone very happy. ❤
There are a lot of people who love purple shades, let’s call them mauve, lilac and lavender to make them sound more sophisticated!
You did an awesome job, as usual. It never occurred to me that you could use one colour thread on top and another on the bottom.
Turned out great imo! 🧵🪡🥰🐈
Love the colors and the quilt pattern.
Beautiful!
It is fabulous! I agree with your reasoning on the binding choice; it is perfection!
Your quilt turned out great, and some lucky person will love it!
That’s beautiful well done
My husband bought me a long arm for my birthday. Although I still am trying to learn to use it I love watching you choose your quilting patterns. It helps me figure what I’m looking for when I look through my patterns
What an amazing husband!
While it may not be a typical Emily quilt, I think it turned out well, pretty colours, good pattern and great quilting. Love the binding you chose. Definitely it will be somebody’s vibe
I like bright colors but I also like these colors. Great quilt!!
I love this . . . the colors, design and quilting. Well done!
I love your main fabric, it reminds me of opals. It’s good to work with fabrics outside our comfort zone once in a while and as always you made a beautiful quilt
lt made me chuckle every time you called it the Dixie cup fabric.
I think some little girl will LOVE that quilt!!
I think it turned out very nice. Good job Emily!!
Congrats on finishing! It is very pretty! I like the quilting. I wasn’t sure at first but when it all came together it looks good!
I really like the hexagon quilting pattern! Overall, a great quilt!
Turned out fantastic
I think it is great. Love the colors!
It’s beautiful!!!!
Turned out llovely😊
Nice snuggly quilt! I like the density. Great job ❤
Snowflakes would have been good because of the Frozen colours (as in Elsa) but love what you did. 🤗 Deb x
I can see about the quilting pattern...there are large areas that didn't get any quilting on them. I love purple, but not having that back purple match would drive me crazy.
I've been following your 3-yard quilt making for a quit some time.
My daughter and I just completed our joint first 3-yard quilt ("Checkmate'). My daughter decided to bind the quilt using the "economy binding" method. It doesn't appear that you have used this method. We found using the economy method difficult. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated i.e., what width do you cut your binding strips when binding your quilts. (We will be quilting on a home machine... no access to a long-arm) Suggestion from you and or your followers will be greatly appreciated TIA
If I'm buying the fabric and not shopping from my stash, I'll get 1¼ yards of the fabric that will also be used for the binding so I can do traditional 2½" double fold binding. I have done the economy binding once (on a minky backed quilt!) and my response was "this is fine..." but it's not going to be as durable as double fold.
@@terriblyrad Thank you for your response...
