I've saved my birthday money so that I could , finally afford to, order a stitch box. I'm so excited, can't wait until the end of the month now. So happy
Thank you Sherry, lovely podcast/journal.I am reading the fifth book of Lucinda Riley and enjoying it.I have "the secret life of bees" waiting but was told it was quite sad and just for me at the moment will leave it for a while. My husband died a few months ago and I am going through a lot of emotions. I am learning to deal with them or perhaps learning that it is all a normal process of thoughts.I need to get back into my slow stitching and want to.I like the sound of the commonplace book.
Oh Shirley - I'm so sorry for your loss. Goodness what a difficult time for you. Little steps as you deal with the turmoil of emotions that you must be feeling. I think you're right not to read anything that you may not be able to cope with so well right now. A commonplace book to note down things that make you feel stronger at the moment would be lovely. Sending you lots of love and hugs xxxx
Your videos are always so inspiring to me you make me want to start new projects. I agree 100% with you on the new Nigel Slater book, it’s just beautiful as is the Christmas one. I’ve recent bought both books in audio format and they are read by Nigel such a joy to stitch and listen to them.
Hi Sherry, lovely vlog! Your stitching is always so beautiful and inspiring...I think your pillows will be extroidinary! I also follow Ruby Granger. She is delightful and has a gentle spirit. I've also carried little notebooks for years and jot down quotes, memories , handmade little makers business cards that are works of art in themselves. They usually end up sprinkled through my bookshelves as stand alone art. I love them . I have been watching Slow Horses a new British spy series with a MI5 connection. Stars Gary Oldman Jonathan Pryce and other well known actors you would know. It's funny, acerbic at times, excellent. ❤
Thank you for your lovely message Andrea ❤️ Your notebooks must be perfect memories of the years. The makers business cards! I used to do little ATC Artist Trading Cards swaps a few years ago.Yes they are treasures and little works of art. Slow Horses - on my list to watch! Thank you xxx
I love all the seasons, but Autumn is special because it a time of slowing down and settling in as we approach the wintering time of the year. Love the your thoughts on Autumn on the Snowdrop site.
I agree, autumn has arrived, bring out the candles and snuggly throws. Sit with a good book or a piece of sewing and insulate yourself from the woes of the world for a while. I love the neutral colours of that cushion cover, it's going to be lovely! Another project to add to my list. 😆 Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas.
I honestly think being able to sit and feel safe and snuggled up with our knitting and sewing is so good for our mental health, and dealing with all of the things that are happening in the world right now xx
Hello, Sherry! Thank you for this encouraging video! I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the happenings in the world especially as our election season is in full swing and when I get like that I tend to pull inwards. Cozy inspiration is just the ticket for me right now and I love the idea of your stitched commonplace book but am also feeling drawn to do one that combines quotes and inspirational photos from magazines etc as a more graphic version. I am currently reading The Kitchen Front (audio book) and The chilbury Ladies' Choir both by Jennifer Ryan.
Yes - everything seems overwhelming and so much is happening. I LOVE your idea for your commonplace book. Off to look up both of those books! Thank you so much for your message! xx
Hi Sherry! I'm knitting socks with your Peacock Butterfly yarn. I absolutely LOVE it!! They will be a favorite pair of mine. 🥰🍁🎃 I recently finished reading Mademoiselle Eiffel. It's historical fiction but does have a lot of true facts in it. It's very well researched.
Oh happy dance1 So happy that you're loving knitting your socks with the Peacock Butterfly yarn - I loved that colourway! Thank you for the book recommendation - off to look it up xx

Oh my word!! Nigel reading them is just the best isn't it?! xx
Lighting my candle and settling in for the evening during Autumn is so comfortable. Watching the leaves change and floating down is wonderful.
Isn't it just the best time? xx
Beautiful yarn
