Emily, you have ‘hit this one out of the park’ ! Science batik jelly roll! Who knew such a thing existed? Great choice for background, and I love the pink backing too. I would so cherish this quilt by Emily and hope your friend does too! 🥰🧵🪡🐈💕
Your Contessa turned out great! I'm sure your friend will love it. I started my Contessa today (using an Island Batik pack too) - but was really surprised by how **not** 2.5" wide several of the strips were.
Omg! I looooove it!! Love the fabrics, the background & the backing ❤❤ this is such a wonderful way to support your dear friend. Sometimes when you don’t know how to help the situation, a quilty hug is perfect. You’re a good friend Emily. I know she will be grateful forever ❤
You could have cut the minky wider so you could fold it over and use it as the binding. I did that recently on a string quilt. Loved it. However, this turned out super cute! Hope she loves it too.
I love that fabric! My problem with the precuts is you don't see the whole thing until it's laid out. My small local store is amazing but she can't carry every line.

everemblem.com! I had a friend do the design for me, but Ever Emblem also offers designs of their own in various sizes
@@terriblyrad thanks
Love the fabric and the quilt ❣️. And Trixie approves 🐈⬛. Thank you for the video 😊 PS ~ How're you liking your new Janome?
It is set up and ready to sew my first project on it this upcoming week!
What did you use for background/binding for this one? The quilt is gorgeous!
It's an island batik from I think their "bodacious black" line.
Love it!! May I ask what quilting machine you have?
I have a qnique 21x elite from the grace company on a 10' continuum 2 frame 🙂
Thank you!
What size and brand is your cutting mat? I love Glide thread too.
The one on my husky table is a 24x36 fiskars mat (it's very old) but it's still going strong!
Thanks so much!
Do you use cotton thread?
I used polyester on this one for piecing and always use poly (glide) on my long arm 🙂
