Colleges have alma maters and fight songs. Star-Spangled Banner is the USA's alma mater, our national anthem. This is our Fight Song.
It has been our national march since 1987.
@@johne6081 I've heard some of my fellow countryman say our national anthem is racist, they aren't completely wrong. Let's do the right thing and change it to this. It talks about our beautiful country and the values of our people and is generally more upbeat, more optimistic.
As a Army vet I am so proud to have served and to this day I feel other vets are my brothers and sister after 35 years I love my country but I don't love what its becoming now , I feel ashamed and betrayed , I hope for Gods Blessing be back on America.

This is the only recording I could find of it at the correct tempo! When we played this in band, we were floored at how fast it was. We were like, "How did they march to this??" But yep... apparently "American marches: fast:: European marches: slow." I guess even in Sousa's time people complained of the speed LOL and he was like "Deal with it."
