This is my favourite monologue ever. I actually performed his monologue in my grade 10 performing arts class and got an A+ for it... it was a Catholic high school, everyone called me Toby after that for the rest of high school. 😆

This bit is priceless. I love it when he addresses "The French" and "lawyers" and I am a retired lawyer and have French genes on one side of my family. Using the name "Toby" is hilarious. Atkinson is one of the best comedic actors and overall funny person ever.

How have I never heard this monologue before? His delivery is great, judging by the other comments, he has been performing it for a while, but it still holds up well. Rowan Atkinson is the best.

When I was teaching in China my Chinese students loved Mr Bean. A tribute to how well Rowan Atkinson's silent humour and expressive facial contortions overcome the limitations of language.

A part of that was with Rowan Atkinson, if you listen you can actually hear it.. apparently John Cleese was unwell and they had to get a stand in as they were on a time limit and Rowan Atkinson was the closest to John Cleese so they used him.. there's a bit of trivial knowledge for you lol
