😂true, but still I try to make sure that nobody is watching even when I'm manhandling my own car

Really great job on the video! You took the time to explain and also showed that we all make mistakes, but it helps us learn to hopefully not do it again. Just got an ‘06 GT from auction and it has suspension noises. Now I can track it down better. Thank you!

haha even worse mistakes were made in the second video. Wish you luck on the tracking down the noises!

Just came across this. You’re giving great info for people who may not know much. I learned similar techniques at TSTC (Texas state’s technical college) in Waco. Great free way to diy gauge overall suspension condition and chase down noises!

omg really? I've learned this stuff from owning a bunch of cars with suspension issues, and I also though my methods are a bit aggressive 😆 Also a bit surprised this video is getting as many views as it does haha 😅

I have a question since you seem knowledgeable.
I have this new issue with my car. Upon accelerating from a dead stop, a single click sensation occurs on the gas pedal / near the gas pedal (in other words, when going from the brake to gas, I “feel” and hear this single, brief sensation in the gas pedal for a split second).
This normally occurs towards the end of a long drive and does not happen all the time, which makes it difficult to diagnose. I had my car inspected by a dealer, and they indicated that everything looked good, but my brakes need to be eventually changed. That was all they noted.

sorry, I can't say that I'm familiar with such things. My first guess was that there is a warped rotor and a caliper that gets seized up when hot, and gets pushed back by warped rotor upon acceleration. BUT if the dealer had checked brakes they would have notice a seized caliper or a warped rotor... so maybe there is something loose behind the cash that get's clunky once in a while?

What is your thoughts on that screen radio that you have on the car? I've seen that model selling on aliexpress, and I'm curious to know if It's worth it, does the climate controls work well?

    • @aimless-drifter

I need to make a proper review video of that screen 😆
This unit has it quirks, malfunction and glitches but I have no regrets choosing it over Dynavin N7 or 12" aliexpress "Tesla screen"
physical climate control buttons work great! Except you will still need to use touch screen for function like changing heat temp, air recirculation, and turn off function. Yes it's quite dumb that the only way you can turn off the climate control fan, is to go into the climate control app and hit of "off" button on the screen. To turn the climate control "on" you can just hit "FAN +" and the climate control turns on automatically. But by hitting "FAN -" it just goes to lowest fan speed setting but doesn't turn off... and that how I usually leave it... if lowest fan speed white noise doesn't annoy you or it doesn't bother you to go into climate control app every time to turn off the fan then you should be fine.
there is physical button on there that does nothing, it's "AUTO" botton. my model does not have auto climate control function so that button does nothing. 😂
the climate control app is easy to access at any time. the button on screen to open the climate app only disappears when you're backing up and backup camera view is on screen otherwise it always accessible.
The climate control app is very intuitive and doesn't look bad, expect there are buttons on the screen that don't do anything. my Mustang doesn't have dual climate control and none of Mustangs have rear seats climate control. But the buttons are there. If it doesn't bother you and then you'll be fine.
Physical volume knob works great, and the extra knob on the right also has some nice functionality in when using radio or bluetooth.
I also love that it's android based, I can install whatever apps are available on the Google Play, and I think the unit is "jail broken" so you can install "homebrew" and hacked and cracked apps also.
However the unit does glitch out once in a while, while driving it would just freeze up randomly and reboot. which is not bad. What is worse is sometimes it will do a factory reset on itself. On factory reset it will delete all of hte installed apps, reinstall all of the factory junk and reset all of the settings. And I didn't even buy the cheapest version of the unit. I bought 8CORE 4GB ram. No issues with responsiveness, just resets is what concerned me... maybe there is something wrong I'm doing that causes this maybe it's just low quality and maybe there is a workaround.
If you had Aliexpress/eBay head unit before and didn't mind the quirkiness, then you should be fine with htis one also 🙂

@@aimless-drifter You should definitely do it! Thank you so much for your extensive in depth thoughts about the radio, I really appreciate it, there are no reviews on this unit, for me the most important is the climate working, cause I live in Canada, and I always need to be using the heat on winter, and cold on summer, is there a button for rear windshield defrost?

    • @aimless-drifter
      @aimless-drifter  2 роки тому +1

@@RodrigoPPavao Hey I also live in Canada 😋 Vancouver, BC but I don't change my climate control temp much tho... I usually leave it on 23 deg C. and in Summer just turn on A/C. There is no physical button for the rear window defroster... there is a button on the screen tho in the climate control app.
Also I paid $660 CAD after shipping for my unit in April 2022, the brand name "HengCheng" and model "PRO" I see there are a lot cheaper units available now that look the same... but might have different software and hardware 🤔
I have recorded the installation of the head unit back in April, just need to do recording of the review of the features and functions and should be able to upload a video within 4 weeks
