As a casual fan of boxing and mma, I consider these votesport documentaries pure gold! Half the time I've never heard of the fighter and I'm always a fan by the end!
Don't care what ppl say. Fighters like this dont exist anymore. What a character and what a fighter! 😮 5 years old he watched boxing and wanted be like muhammad ali! What a guy! And the comeback story from the broken spine! Hands down best fighter ever for that reason alone. That showboat right overhand!! So unortodox yet so effective! GOD bless his soul!
Saw the movie based on his life. It’s crazy how Miles Teller looks like him in his younger years! Duran being in his corner feels like it was just meant to be.
Always liked the Pazmanian Devil, he may not have been in the same league as Jones, Whitaker, or Leonard but the guy had heart and in my book was a great fighter.
It’s a shame guys like Pazienza, Greg Haugen, Roger Mayweather and Rocky Lockridge did not have their careers in recent times. They would have got the riches they deserved from boxing and they would all be in the IBHOF. A lot of great fighters from that era are sadly forgotten.
The truth is the heavyweights of this era will be just as forgotten and it's the sole reason why the other weight divisions are finally in the spotlight.
Man, you nailed it. I watched all these fights and I forget these guys. I'm just a casual, but being a teenager in the 80s, if you had basic cable, it seemed you could watch a couple live fights a week. Today, everything is so hyped and overblown compared to then when reputations were made in the ring instead of social media.
Right on sir!, Knowing Paz, I asked a fighter who once lost to prime Paz what he was most worried about and prepared for when he fought him, he said "Paz had the best footwork in the division at the time"
I had heard of him back in the day, but didn't remember (or realize) how great a boxer he actually was (plus I was poor, always working, and never had Cable TV). Somewhat of a boxing legend this guy was. Boxing doesn't get any purer in form and skill than this. It's amazing to me, how much money he made (and squandered).
I definitely vote for Vinny and become a fan as well. He may no longer be fighting, but his style of boxing, speed, persistence, and attitude of "never say die" are traits that all aspiring boxers should seriously consider. Definitely minus, the gambling, alcohol, and arrogance.
what a great documentary 🦾 you got to love Vinnie 🥊 what a great 🏆!!!! Competed in the most competitive weight classes in boxing!!! What heart determination!!!!
Great Documentary. 🎉 man, Vinny had fire in his heart & fists of chrome. That left is masterful, his set ups. I remember his Comacho fight, I rooted against him. I was like 11.😂
Vinny Paz is a perfect representation of the iron will which is so typical of the greatest fighters. whether in the ring or in the streets, in the home or in the workplace, there are men who refuse to be beaten, by life, another man, a job, by physical pain, by emotional pain, by a million things. Men like Paz are those men. before man became civilised, these men were the ones who defended the tribe, hunted for sustenance, conquered enemies and were the forefront of their defence. true warriors.
I remember years back when vinny was on Tuesday night fights..they had a thing on thier where they were talking about how vinny pazienza was inspired after seeing the movie "rocky"...he was in fact so inspired by that movie that he began his training the very next day, they showed vinny on thier saying, joking that he didn't know if he owed Sylvester Stallone a thank you or a beating...
this took my back to high school with that name he has, i used to listen to Army of The Pharaohs back then and a member of the group was called Vinnie Paz. all makes sense now
Vinny was one of the greatest warriors of all time Nothing stopped that boy, he always had the heart of a lion. He's two years younger than I. He's always been one of my all time favorite fighters. Today he's a motivational speaker and he still has the same charisma and he still inspires people of all ages....He's a champ of all champs...
27:08 not only the matador, but the scariest bull too. When you're opponent uses his head forward to push you back like that, you're fucked, he's in continuous flow state.
Funny how these kind of boxers go unoticed. Never heard of him even though I watched different sports back then. He had the skills to be known : the flurry, the way he moves. Of course it is fun boxing. I don't know he is somewhat like Tyson. What a warrior ! A pity that some fight but can't be at peace with themselves until way later.
I just love the voice of narrator. And Vini was legend!!! I know about him cause my favourite, Roj Jones Jr 💪 But anyway, Pazienza and his life story is just amazing!!!
What else can be said except Vinnie was unstoppable. Rematches always brought about the challenger's confirmed fear about the Pazmanian Devil. Vinnie didn't stop until you either went down and didn't get back up or removed your head. You can't help but think that out of all the people Vinnie beat into total submission, a few of them got carried out of the ring with the faint aroma of whatever had been eaten earlier that day. What pisses me off is the fact that this is the first time I've ever heard of Vinnie and that kind of pisses me off. Vinnie, your still the King Paisan and that crack "I'm gonna have to take 12 rounds of this shit ? ?" had be roaring like a madman. Thanks Vinnie for all your efforts, style and indomitable attitude ! !
If someone come to Hollywood with a script with this story , the most probably answer will be a big "NO" ... Vinnie's story surpassed reality and Hollywood.
I’m actually just watching the film just now had to pause it seeing the car crash hes one of the best n strongest ware boxing has ever seen 💯🏴🏴🏴🔥🫶🏻
I used to think he was just a jobber that roy jj beat up but now ive discovered vinny was a somebody in that ring what a fearsome competitor and comeback

So true !!! VoteSport 🔥🔥🔥
Cannot agree more.
I agree and I think like me, most people forget to pray the like button. This is awesome
L
Totally agree! Like WoodwardTV, they're at the top of their games just like the fighters they exhibit
To have Roberto Duran in your corner is an outstanding honor
What a legendary warrior he his. Never gave up his dream and kept fighting forward. I have so much respect for him.
Legendary stop it. I did a spit take.
They don't make fighters like this no more, what a beast what a showman

Your ability to tell the stories of fighters is epic. God bless your efforts. Thank you for your hard work.
Saw the movie based on his life. It’s crazy how Miles Teller looks like him in his younger years! Duran being in his corner feels like it was just meant to be.

Ironically its this "Money" era that has brought down the quality and ruined boxing.
What? Pazienza blew 7 million in the casinos! What good would more money have done him?
@@slik00silk84 What are you, dense? More money means more action at the casinos. You can't play with no money.
Great true story of a boxing warrior! God bless you brother ❤️
What an amazing story of both grit, determination and addiction !!! The mental toughness in boxing and the weakness of gambling.
This guy is warriorclass. Just wow, never to back down. Mad respect. I'm no warrior 😢😢😢
This guys output was insane

A good brawler with very good footwork.

Giving me motivation on a crappy day
Go Rhode Island! Went to URI in 1969. Great times and met many great people. Paz is younger than me but a real warrior!
You've got a great channel going. I'm hooked. Thank you!
