This is very helpful. Thx for video. The pieces are beautiful. I see the arch you started with. I love one with rings too. And your colors are very nice together. So pretty. Definitely NOT boring!!! Alcohol ink is fun, but sure not easy. Austin,TX USA
I just came across Alcohol Ink for the first time and am in love. I didn't know where to start and this has been incredibly helpful. Now to get some supplies! lol
@@randihart5731 I'm already visually addicted and eager to begin. I've been doing dot mandalas for quite awhile and have wanted another technique to combine them. My daughter-in-law does a similar type of process with acrylics but that was too heavy for what I am looking for. This is perfect, also as a stand alone. Creativity keeps me sane these days. Could you let me know where you get the thin plastic cardboard you mentioned in the video? I have only been able to find thick sheets, often corrugated. Thanks so much! Your work is absolutely beautiful and you are also gifted in teaching the techniques.
@@randihart5731 Yes. I thought you had said for practice purposes you used "plastic poster board". But if you could let me know what type of surface is good for practicing and then options for when I actually know what I'm doing, that would be great.
I use Nara paper. It’s a bit more expensive but you can wipe almost all ink of and reuse it. Yupo a bit cheaper than Nara but the ink leaves a lot of stains. You can use photo paper, often a bit cheaper than the brand names. A lot of people practice on white ceramic tiles, it wipes completely clean and you can use them over and over again
You’re welcome 😉 when I use Touch ink and Navimer alcohol ( I think it’s known as grain alcohol) I don’t use a respirator. But if you’re using isopropyl alcohol and inks with isopropyl, you should 👍👍
This is stunning. 👌💓
Thank you very much 🌺😊
You explained that very well, it helped me. That is really the hardest thing is composition. Thank you.
Thank you very much. Yes composition can be so tricky. Glad you liked it 😊

Dot mandalas are so fascinating 😍 I’m sorry, not really sure what you mean by “plastic cardboard”…..? 🙃
