The trucks that skip the weight stations probably have drivewyze on there Qualcomm. And depending on your company if there setup with it aswell then the Qualcomm will tell you either go into the station or bypass it

I was going to comment this, Schneider Tanker here, can confirm. But you have to pay attention either way, some of the weighstations don't support it so you pull in... Or the four or five states where you're pulling hazmat that you MUST pull into regardless of weight.

My one regret is that I never tagged along with him just for the experience and spending time with him. When driving all day always look at it as “11 to drive, 3 to jive”…if u start your day at 5am, start taking time from your 3 to jive…everything else calculated from your 11 to drive…The key for me is don’t stop for anything that won’t take 30ms to do…that way you can always keep tab on your time by resetting that 8 to break clock…go off duty for EVERYTHING…even fueling…it’s legal to do that now…you can put in 5 mins or on duty for pickups and drop offs but REST THAT 8 to Break!!!…it’ll change your life

Just an FYI (for others who may not know this)…
A ‘PrePass’ transponder in the truck’s cab, alerts those equipped with one, when it may (or may not) bypass a particular weigh station… those other mentioned trucks aren’t arbitrarily deciding whether they’re gonna stop or just blow past them… they were alerted to do so.🚦

Hey Alex! So we have a wonderful Loves in my area that I visit frequently during fishing trips (I tend to go out fishing at around 1PM and stay out until about 9AM the next day) They have the best hotdogs and their service is always amazing. It's nice to get a hotdog late at night when you've been out on the water all day. Another story for you since I heard how excited you got about Chester's chicken. When I was working with my brother picking up garbage around our area (we drove a Chevy 2500 with a 32 foot fenced trailer, not as big as a semi but not a small truck either) we would stop at our local truck stop for Chester's chicken. I have to say, the biscuits in our area leave something to be desired. They always have the texture of sand. But the sauces are great!

Have you had a Level 3 inspection done yet at a weigh station? And no, all trucks don't have to always pull into the scales if they get a green light to bypass it on their PrePass box that's inside their cab. We have one in our semi, and you either get a green light, or a red light inside that unit. You should ask your company about one, if you haven't gotten one yet, they make it so much better, especially if you are empty going somewhere for a new run. Sometimes they will still pull you in though just so they can see the IFTA stickers and overall truck appearance.
They tend to favor the box trucks over the semi's too simply because they are easier to do an inspection on. My co-driver and I own our truck but we lease onto a company. I hope you can find a company that you can be happy with, that's the worst to work for someone or someplace where you aren't happy. We love the company we work for. We have been here for years. Always happy to help out fellow drivers. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Be safe out there driver.

Hey, you're not cheap for not wanting to pay for a shower. $15 is expensive. I'm regional so don't pass Loves too often so my go to is usually TA and that's where I earn my free showers. I'm hoping to fill up today actually, I'm at about 100 gallons and my week starts today in about an hour to head back to the DC from my house bobtail.
