Just been exploring their work after watching a 1964 interview with Little Richard where he said they were just about the best group he's ever heard... Thank's Little Richard!
I get so pissed off when people who weren’t even born yet talk about the British Invasion and don’t mention the Animals. I don’t know what they base their opinions on but having been a teenager in 64 they were right there with me Beatles and Stones.
It's 2024 and I've just joined the club! There just are no words to describe Eric, his voice, his moves, his soul! A beautiful man. I too now cannot sleep cos all I want to do is listen to him.
This is spectacular! Thanks for putting it up. I've been watching blues & soul videos all during the pandemic, and every once in a while UA-cam still sends me a gem like this that I haven't seen. Go Eric, you little hurricane!
Have you heard the animals version of 'Hit the Road Jack? it is on UA-cam. I think you will enjoy it. Very different to Ray Charles' version. Eric Burdon in full bluesy voice. You may also enjoy the Ready steady Go (RSG) live special with Otis Redding and Eric Burdon. Eric sings Hold On, I'm Coming' and there is a finale of Shake with Otis (it was his show) and his band and Eric. Very cool and a lot of fun. (Apologies if you have already checked them out, but I thought you'd enjoy them.)
@@lechatel Thanks so much for the suggestions, that is very thoughtful! I bookmarked "Hit the Road Jack" ages ago, but never actually watched - I'll have to check it out. Yes, that episode of Ready Steady Go is fantastic - I don't think I've ever seen Eric look like he's having more sheer fun. When he glances over at Otis Redding he's like "this is the best thing ever!" Highly recommended to anyone here who hasn't seen it.
How in the world did that crowd stay seated during this performance? I realize it was a different era - but good grief, you had to get down with Eric up there dancing!! Having concerts in locations with no seats was the best thing their ever did!
Better than The Rolling Stones
Comparisons like that are completely unnecessary. But thanks for the laugh!
@@handle-schmandle He's right though....
@@lechatel That's two of you that have cracked me up. Thanks!
@@handle-schmandle Animals all the way for me. You obviously prefer the Stones. I wonder why you are here?
@@lechatel I’m here to listen to some good music. I didn’t realize I was only allowed to watch if the Animals were my favorite.
Literally one of the most underrated bands of all time in my opinion

This is the best line up of the Animals, superb live act and one of the top Bands to emerge from the 60s era

Oui, il y a aussi un politiquement correct chez les critiques de rock...
Holy Fuck that was epic. Ditto, Animals underarated. Burdon was possessed!
It’s 2023 and I can’t sleep because I just discovered The Animals and I have a mad crush on Eric suddenly.
Totally normal. Enjoy.

I'd rather salt in my bread than tea, if my gal were salt in my tea I'd likely ask her to change her ways.
Salt and sugar look similar but they sure don't taste the same.
What fell at 2:55 ?!
Eric tossed off his coat.
