Oh I agree Barbara. A little whirlwind of energy and soul. You may enjoy seeing him, if you haven't already, singing as a guest star on the Otis Redding special filmed live for ReadySteadyGo (RSG) in 1966. He does a quite brilliant version of 'Hold On I'm Coming' and he also has a blast in the spectacular finale with Otis singing 'Shake'. They are both on youtube and if you think he is beautiful on this then prepared to be blown away. Apologies if you have already checked it out, but I just like sharing the Eric love.

Eric's voice and the way he moves are just out of this world and the whole band compliment each other perfectly. It still dazzles me how profoundly movingt this band was back when songs like The Beatles; I Want To Hold Your Hand dominated radio airplay.

Absolute incredible, the the manic energy to perform to all those teenyboppers is quite stunning. Certainly Eric Burton is one of the greatest white R&B singers for a generation.

Great vocalist. Very powerful. Reminds me a bit of Roger Daltry. Only deeper.

My favorite part of babysitting in the early 70s was after i put the kids to sleep, was putting on their headphones (first time thrill headphones) and listening and dancing to all of their 60s music. I didn't even care when they got home or if i got paid (50 cents an hour) as long as i got to play those fantastic songs. Such wonderful music and these people had every artist from the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. I wish i had that old album collection.

My brother was much older than me and when he got married I had the use of his 60's record collection for a while. (this was in the late 70's) All the top bands...Who, Them, Kinks, beatles, Stones.) It blew my socks off. But it was The Animals records that really grabbed me and wouldn't let go. He asked for it all back after a while (rock music and a new baby don't mix) and I tried in vain to hang on to The Animals. Thought he wouldn't notice but it was his favourite too. lol Anyway, I collect vinyl now and it is fun to buy it at fleamarkets etc. So why not do the same and get a turntable if you haven't got one and start picking up albums?

@@lechatel thanks for the reply. I loved reading your story. I did the same as you, I collected old records from everywhere and I even have an old Stereo councel record player. The saddest thing happened when we were remodeling our house we put all of our stuff in our garage for safe keeping and sadly it burned down. We lost everything that was stored in there. Then as you say life gets in the way. Kids and now grandkids, but I have replaced a few of my favorites. I hope you find that Animals Album, it was a great one. Keep having fun during the hunt.

@@mareelwood7270 Oh sweetie what a terrible thing to happen! I hope you rebuld your collection. I live in France and there is lots of pre-loved vinyl available...but you have to really check the record for damage of course! I am so excited and happy that due to UA-cam The Animals have had some recognition. Good music never dies...even if the hardware does! take care.

@@lechatel I live in Minnesota USA, I have lived here all 60 years of my life. I love it here. I've never been to Europe, although many of my 9 siblings and Parents have been there. France was one of their favorites. They mostly traveled there in the 1970s-1980s. We were all young then and very adventurous. Our ancestors are from France and although it is a rare name here it is very popular in France.
Yes I too love music and I am so grateful that we can find almost every song we want on UA-cam or any music app on line.
I think my all time favorite is Pink Floyd and every 60s British Band. We were so lucky to experience the best music ever written in the 60s, 70s, and 80s live.
Love chatting with you. Music makes everyone just a little bit closer to each other, and it never dies.
