This was great. Eric was such a unique dude and still is really.
Love that Geordie accent of his…along with every other thing about him!
They had so much energy in all of their performances! Burden is the best rock/blues singer ever!
In March 1967, Eric Burdon & The Animals at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey was the first rock concert I ever attended. I was just 13 years old - and I'll never forget that night. Eric was such an electrifying singer, and he still blows me away.
Sometimes I feel that the ANIMALS must have been THE GREATEST ROCK BAND THAT EVER EXISTED.
For me Animals was the best group so raw so talentet and Eric is in a Class of his one way better and The rest of the frontman
@@elisabethaxelsson4736 Eric was so sexy, the way he sang, the way he moved. No one in The Who like him, sorry that's how I feel. And he was a confident man. Comfortable in his own skin, so to speak. Still alive, must have been doing something right.
The Animals were amazing. There were lots of U.K. bands around at that time who couldn’t really play but the Animals had outstanding talent, Eric Burdon was born to be a blues shouter, such a great voice!
My mom listened to the animals and Amen corner, manfred mann, the kinks the yardbirds the hollies and the beach boys oh and rolling stones to name a few.
Raw blue eyed soul , the best
Ladies and Gentlemen behold a Rock Legend
I second that. Too bad he didn't get the opportunity to act more- he had short roles in at least two American movies- great voice, great looks, sexy as heck too- even my mom liked him! Better than Peter Noone, Herman and of course she much preferred Eric to Mick Jagger-! Mom didn't dig him and couldn't understand how sweet, pretty, little thing like Marianne Faithfull could be so besotted! Dance on Eric, you STILL GOT IT! Namaste
ERIC BURDON and THE ANIMALS, NUMBER ONE,I LOVE,
NO TIENE IMITADOR.
If he only knew how much he knocks me off my feet..lawdy what a beautiful man and singer...simply love him!!!
Mark a bit dishonest?
I think her day is going great; yours seems to be filled with unhappy admiration ... 😉
Oh I agree Barbara. A little whirlwind of energy and soul. You may enjoy seeing him, if you haven't already, singing as a guest star on the Otis Redding special filmed live for ReadySteadyGo (RSG) in 1966. He does a quite brilliant version of 'Hold On I'm Coming' and he also has a blast in the spectacular finale with Otis singing 'Shake'. They are both on youtube and if you think he is beautiful on this then prepared to be blown away. Apologies if you have already checked it out, but I just like sharing the Eric love.
En découvrant ce film, je comprends pourquoi Les Animals et Eric furent, sont et seront toujours mon groupe préféré.
Le talent à l'état pur.
Fabuleux !!!
The british super bands realized years before most American bands the Talent of black musicians and paid tribute to them
The reason the yanks took to them is because they had black material but white faces
Yeah, that beautiful man can get down and shake it.
60s music was the best ! So much talent out there all for the choosing. I was a wee kid but still absorbed all of it from the radio and my older teenage aunts records. I just love it.
I was ten and I LOVED the animals!
5:05 Those moments...! they were really big young rockers that last forever...I love Animals...I I love this performance... I love Eric...I´m gonna cry man...gonna cry
@@kimikat7618 that's what music do in people such us: poetry, doesn't we?
I play this music as well since I was a teenager, now, that spirit hasn't gone, only my hair and youth, old on the outside young on the inside...😎🎸
Well I get what you mean...Eric was only 5'5"...so he really was the little big man.
Raw emotion and passion makes for a killer performance!
These guys were one of the liveliest bands and they got chastized for it. I love them!
Je ne connaissais pas cette version, Belle Performance,!!! Eric Burdon. Est vraiment très Bon !
Awesome singer
This band was amazing. This British blues gives a chill. I rediscover this band. It's a great performance.
I was 5 yrs old. When this song came out. But when I hit 12yrs old. I fell in love w/ the singer. The house of the rising sun. I loved that song. Animals I loved you and still do..I'm in love with u so..

You have got the best taste in music
Still say the animals are one of the best sixties bands and Eric Burdon was a fantastic front man just loved em👍👍👍👍
He be the only guy to sing, house of the rising sun. Only he had the desired voice, he was a hansom fucker too. I,m a 45 year old guy, but I would have em.
@@marcusscudamore6834 They did a few other great songs to. Not this one, but........................
Yeah, they did do a load of great song's.. I don't remember ever saying that house of the rising sun was the only great song..We gotta get outta this place, when i was younger then.. too name a few..And of course r,I,p. Hilton Valentine. But cheers any way.
@@marcusscudamore6834 No I know you didn't say that. No need to get all butt hurt. Hey to you like the song "Don't bring me down". I love that one.
Sorry, Miss's the second, I didn't want to sound all pissy , I,m still a bit buged by the reasent bad news we have all just received though. Sorry again.. god bless.

Rockin at all ages to far out tunes is good medicine man yaaawhooo
Love that band ,Erics voice and felling for what he sings is outstanding .
Elizabeth, I see you discovered these performances sooner than I. I love them all! Love Eric! I wonder how a guy gets so very sexy! Wish time had stopped for all of us and we could be in delight forever. He is just too much!
Eric burdon is one of a kind! His soul was so deep! You rock so hard! I think more than any stone ever did! Love the stones!
Besides the Beatles,Spencer Davis Group and Kinks these guys were the tightest and best band in Brit at the time.
To me he was and still is the king!
jimmy saville introducing before they knew what he was doing
Juste un Trésor... Éternel... The animals.. The legend!!!
Love to watch him dance
LUDO DOBRO OD ANIMALSA❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I always loved their live version of let it rock - Hilton Valentines Guitar solo on this track is the rawest of rock and roll energy!
Great artist and song keep you shaking all over 2021
I saw Eric Button live, mid 80's. And he was STILL rockin' it! In high school, I imitated him with the ascot and Ben Franklin sunglasses! Lol? Maybe lol? Anyway, the jocks shoved me around as did others, but I did NOT care! I was dressed like Eric Burdon!! And I played in a band in the bars on weekends!! Anyway, someone yelled out House Of The Rising Sun ( of course) he said," Christ! I hate this fucking song!" But played it anyway. But you could feel the energy level drop
Great show all the way around though. He claimed to have seen God both STRAIGHT and ON ACID!!!! MY MAN!!!
Ohhh man sounds just like the blues from South side of Chicago my town wowwwww Buddy Guys Legends club would love The Animals , Eric and that keys player 😍🥰
I Love the animal
They introduced so many to this great american music.
This band defines blues/rock. Phenominal!
Mark a bit dishonest?
I think her day is going great; yours seems to be filled with unhappy admiration ... 😉
RIP Hilton Valentine.
The goddamn Animals!!!!!! Yes!!!
Dances cute. Sings great . Where has all the good music gone since the 60s!!
Great Great Great.
Good Old Animals.
Even with bad sound and missing guitar This rocks me, all the way back to when I heard it on my transistor radio !!
i was there, i thought the Animals and the Kinks were standout.
Eric & the lads🔘✌✌
all overturned world, with the beatles, Rollings Stones, and others, but if you realize until now the lyrics in Eric Burdon's songs are masterpieces, they are magnificent, and you deserve all the congratulations from that time till now, and forever...
Absolutely. Shame tho that Jagger bumped the true founder Brian out and took credit What a talent he was too. Love The Animals.
What! A very handsome man 👨
Saw them live in Birmingham Alabama around mid 60s.
Just fine as hell! Damn! Wish I was around then! Good Lord!
I can't get enough of this !
Look into Erics eyes! there's no sign of any show-biz we used to nowadays. NO FUCKIN' showbiz, just art, just song, just pure melody!!! OH MY GOD!!! He just does that for the mass satisfaction! I love that awesomely!
Yep. eric never sold out. Probably why he wasn't more famous in the mainstream. He was a musicman first and in the end that stands the test of time.
I saw in 65 or 66, I forget. I was 12 or 13. Man, they blew the roof off the joint. I'd never heard anything like that before. Still love it!
It's why they're the Animals!
Oh 1 of my musical idols, we've grown up together. So glad he's alive!!
Richard Harris...(?) Makes perfect sense. When rock and roll fused the feeder streams of mud-blues into an adult My Generation world-view. There ought to be a statue to Eric as one of the grand progenitors of the 60's Renaissance.
Eric Burdon like that Guy,Hilton Valentine great friend,Chas Chandler, good businessman.John Steel, dont know, these times are gone, what wer remember is, the Animals were the beginning of something new.Greetings from the Netherlands.
Cool dude,,super cool group ,really cool song and performance
Eric Burden is my favorite 60s rock star!
Favolosi......💓💓💓👍
Época dorada del rock..
I feel like this is one of the few videos that shows how energetic the Animals could be live. I suspect they (and other groups, I'm sure) had to tone it down for most TV appearances.
Plus they were lipsynching on most tv shows unlike this live performance.
@@richardleonard4281 True, but they sung live on the Ed Sullivan show six times in alland they are worth checking out...especially I'm Crying and HOTRS and a really extraordinarily vocally brilliant version of 'Worksong'. However, of course, Ed Sullivan did make sure things were kept in bounds and didn't get really wild. (mustn't shock the folks at home. lol)
Great Animals, shame Saville was there, but great performance Eric xxx
Would have loved to been there. At 70 yo missed the days
Great music Eric brudon keep the great music coming on UA-cam thanks again Eric burden
Vaaauuu🐾❤️🐾
Animals in action, oh please, I wish I could be there...
Me again. One of the best animals performances I have ever seen.
Fantastic! In love from Russia
You can tell they're having so much fun performing. I like this!
Burdon is feeling it lol
Unbelievable Eric Burdon and the animals best of the British invasion period!
Absolute incredible, the the manic energy to perform to all those teenyboppers is quite stunning. Certainly Eric Burton is one of the greatest white R&B singers for a generation.
Thank you best friend ❤👋🌎
Fabuloso sonido y muy divertidos en el escenario.
Heard the Animals in concert in Minneapolis in 1966 "when I was young" (14 years old ). They opened for Herman's Hermits. Never could figure out why they were not the headliners ! I was blown away. The entire group was so impressive, but especially Eric Burdon. To this day , they're still one of my favorite groups !
thomas berger I saw them with The Hermits. Talk about outclassed! The Animals ROCKED!!! That theatre is still shakin!
thomas berger wow and a few years after that The Who opened for H.H.!
I first saw the animals at the scene in soho, brilliant, was way beyond curfew!, loved all of them Eric burden. I so much hope that they are all happy now. Love xx
55 years years ago. Imagine how long ago, and as they struggled for some of the attention lavished upon the Beatles.
Fabulous song
The Animals at their best !
Still watching this as 2021 turns into 2022!!
The Animals were in a class of Way head over all the groups in the 60,s , And Eric better then all frontmen
Q voz x Dios!!! Q chiquito en ese momento
The animals. Legenda mito. Historia" vimos nacer el rock". Un privilegio
Very Nice,...
The best front man in rock and roll history never will be another singer with a voice the range of Eric burdons we still rock out with the animals here in Kentucky
