You nailed it. He is amazing ! Less charm than Sam & Dave but there's that exploding R&R energy. He could qualify as a punk precursor. I bet he would endorse that.
This is live. Not take 37 in the recording studio. Didn't miss a trick. Really nailed it and then some. I sometimes watch those TV new talent shows in the hope of seeing the next E. Burdon .... Sadly, no chance.
Alan Price not even on here..he did the dirty after the huge hit "House of the Rising Sun." Went and called it , his combo, because of his playing the organ...but they ALL got together again in 2011.. ..
I'm glad I got to meet him a few times he's very kind and very polite I have a picture of him with my two daughters he autographed his book and I have a autograph LP
So this is the video that introduced me to Mr. Burdon when I was in high school. I was looking up Otis Redding videos and came across this...met Eric last year in November. He's still got it and soooo incredibly cool. There's no other like him!
This is from the "Eric Is Here" time period, in between the last Animals album and the new Animals on Winds of Change. "Eric Is Here" is one of my favorite albums by him. Great material.
Much as I like the Sam and Dave version of this song, this version by Eric Burdon is by far the best. And the backing could not be better (I think that's Otis Redding's band?). I urge anyone who enjoys this video to watch the complete show, which was an Otis Redding Special of 'Ready, Steady Go', dated September 16th 1966. Obviously Otis was the headliner but Eric (and the other guest Chris Farlowe) was not overshadowed one bit by the great man and the climax at the finish when they sang 'Shake' and 'Land of 1000 Dances' is another top notch performance where they play off each other perfectly. You can tell they, and the audience, are having a ball. The whole special is available on UA-cam.
Great clip that I've never seem before.
Eric Burdon, one of the best singers of all time. Pure soul, real music with passion. For people, from people.

You nailed it. He is amazing ! Less charm than Sam & Dave but there's that exploding R&R energy. He could qualify as a punk precursor. I bet he would endorse that.
The animals with Eric Burdon will always sound fresher and timeless than the usual shite churned out today for decades to come.

Oh yes! Love this! How is it I'm just discovering this band now in my 50's? I was born in 1966.🤗
Well the up-side Connie is that you have lots of presents still to unwrap. Have you heard him singing 'Hit the road Jack'?
Love
Isn’t that Otis Redding’s band playing with Eric?
that was dope- NE UK has the soul
He looks like the smart kid from the class that knows how to freaking sing!
💕❤️😻😍✌🏼👌🏼
good song
Eric Burdon = more rock n' roll than The Who, Stones and Kinks rolled into one.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I din't know they grew voices like that in England until I heard Eric, Joe and Stevie.
Sexy rockstar xxx
You should hear Mike Smith from the Dave Clark Five. He and Eric are probably the best rock music singers.
Damn Eric could make it funky. There’s some Motown in his soul !!
not Motown'soul, STAX rythm and blues sound !!
This is so good. I wish the Eric is Here album had this energy with more of a focus on classics like this.
Adoro, não me canso de ouvir, Eric Burdon tem uma voz maravilhosa 😍🎙️🎵🎶
Este monstruo es la hostia consagrada
