My wife and I have seen Eric twice. He still tours and is still unbelievable! Saw him at WinStar Casino a few years ago. He has so many hits and his voice is still great. He had people standing and dancing in the isles the entire concert. If he comes close to you, don’t miss him!
i´ll say in a short sentence. He's still one of us !! Thank you Eric Burdon, i start listen to your music as a 12 year old teenager, while drinking beer n smoking cigarettes. Had no rule how i could survive my youth. I understood what you said n felt the music... now 53 years old, clean for more than twenty years , still understand and feel... Thank You very much!
Well Eric was probably only about 45 or 47 in this. He’s much older now and doesn’t look like this any more. He moved to California and lives in the US full time now.
And that’s exactly why he’s not as well known as he should be. He couldn’t be pigeonholed and packaged for Tiger Beat . He’s a truly sexy, dangerous-sounding MAN. It’s outrageous really…
@Kim Perkins That's exactly what I am doing. Researching and finding performances I have seen before. Mighty powerful indeed! And of course so sexy. I wish time could have stood still for this man and never grow old.
Dammit, how undervalued has he been., why is he not one of our greatest legendary artists. I cannot stop wishing I had been born to be around in the 60's. but damn straight age has only seasoned his already amazing voice. thank you Eric Burdon.
Great singer .It is an insult when people in social media ant here compare him with Jagger. There is simply no comparison.I saw him 10 years ago when he was 68 and he was amazing, effortless!
Jagger is a great rock singer, with heavy blues influences, but he’s not the essential blues singer that Burdon is. If you’re partying, it’s Jagger. If you’re making love or drinking by yourself, it’s Burdon. I wouldn’t want to lose either of them. I prefer Burdon of course, but Jagger has his place. Burdon is my second favorite singer of all time, right behind Roger Daltrey.

♥ 11 May 1941 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to living legend ERIC BURDON who turns 79-years today. Eric you're the greatest and we love you. Heartfelt and best birthday wishes radiate out to you along with tons of appreciation and thanks from your fans worldwide. Here's to you lovely man. x
I got to see Eric Burden & War twice, once in San Francisco, & the 2nd time in Anchorage, Alaska. In S.F. he came out and shouted, first thing, "Fu** you, San Francisco!" That blew me away, but evidently nobody else minded. Spectacular show. Then, maybe a year later in 1970 I was up in Anchorage and the bell kid, about 18, asked me go with him to see Eric Burden & War. Burden was an angel to that audience; same spectacular show. I'm a huge fan. After the show, the bell kid asked me my age. "I'm 24," I said. He pulled away. "You're old!" What a hoot.
smile or frown, he's more than "good" looking ... He Is Man Man, 100% pure, organic, raw, nonGMO, fantastic voice beyond compare, aging finer than wine... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!
He's a blues daddy for sure. I remember seeing the "animals" when I was a young girl and was mesmerized by their songs...loved how different they were.
I got my first guitar for Christmas 1965 when I was fifteen. I spent the whole afternoon learning House of the Rising Sun til my fingers were bloody shreds -- never had an instrument in my hands before, no calluses -- and my old man said if he heard me play that damned song one more time he'd throw the guitar and me out in the fucking snow. :) I think it was everyone's first song.
Un accompagnement minimaliste qui amplifie la voix extraordinaire d'Eric. Quelle prestation fabuleuse de "When I Was Young" ! Burdon "vit" sa chanson... J'adore !
Fantastic!!! House of the Rising Sun, one of my favourite songs!!! I love New Orleans!!!! Eric Burdon, one of the best singers of the world, no doubt about that!!!
Sheri Peters: I think Eric💜 is a fantastic singer in all genres but why do you mention race unless you're insinuating white people are not great blues singers. This sounds like a racist stereotypical comment. There are many white musicians that are great blues singers.
Eric burdon is true to his band name, a one kind of animal artist of music that surely goes down in history that is enormously enamored by lovers of his kind of music
Many thanks for posting this. Eric is my all-time favorite male singer. Just love the guy. Glad he is still around and even has a new album out at the age of 76.
He solidifies himself as one of the greatest blues artists of all times. Also as one of the sexiest Just one night with you baby, one night of sin. Whew!!!?
Eric Burdon, you're still badass even today in 2024. Respect for a Legend that I've always admired because he's genuinely into the music even now at this stage in his life.
You need to have talent to accompany Eric's singing. His jazz style is challenging. I love listening to the back and forth with WAR as the musicians and singer push each other. Jamie Moses is a pro who could keep up with Burdon. Later they would record "I Used to Be an Animal" (1988)
Where is Rising Sun, Monterrey, San Francisco Nights, Misunderstood, It's My Life. & Spill The Wine, Those are the songs that create chills in me forever!...
The best rock and blues singer from the U.K...coming form the 60s ..Eric has been blessed with a raw and low voice and when I first heard the House of the rising Sun a song a young man from Newcastle made his own. I was hooked on it ..Van Morrison was a close ... second.
I smoked a bunt with Eric it was in Miami beach he was walking his dog it was 1997 then when the blunt was done he told me he was an artist ......what a day I could say it was magic!

He was 45 here and I think he was better than ever. Such a powerful voice! He has it all. Charisma, good looks, sex appeal! ❤️
I agree! I saw him at a festival and by then he was 65 and still rockin' I'm sure he's still rocking.

Pretty good for live & acoustic. Eric was one of the greatest. Soooo under rated!!!!!!
