She's so underrated. Her scream at seeing Cedric's dead body is heartbreaking
ikr. everybody's clapping while she was screaming bec. she saw cedric's dead body
I was like heh. He died.
N legendary
Yes eat those Who disklike her she should be the main charecter of harry potter
No the scream was terrifying. I screamed after she screamed lmaooo
I always felt the movie didn't represent her appearance correctly. She should have had longer hair since she was part Veela.
Susan Potenzano uhm where did you read that
Not all veelas have long hair but ok
What is a veela
Susan Potenzano yeah
@@sonnyfox8351 you obviously haven't read the forth harry potter book
She is just wonderful. I hate whenever Ginny would call her Phlegm (can't stand that word). I also think she took a keen interest in Bill because she knew he'd see her as a person and not look at her like a lovesick puppy. 😄
But she was pretty haughty and blunt. She seemed to age well though. She seemed nicer in the last book.
@@flugsven True, she like any other character had flaws, but overcame them.
@Jack Meli haha 😄
@TheMysteriousMoustache I don't mind her, but yeah, she isn't a character for everyone.
@TheMysteriousMoustache you're welcome 😊
I feel that it was wrong of Ginny to judge Fleur that quickly. She hardly knew anything about Fleur. Don't get me wrong, I like Ginny, but she was just too quick to judge.
No. I strongly disagree. It is because the way Fleur expresses her ideas openly. And Fleur not being sensitive enough to other people. Dont forget that Ginny keeps on protecting Luna over bullies. How can she be judgemental? Read the books so you can understand the series. 😂
Nessa M it’s not just Ginny. It’s the entire Weasley family, especially Molly.
Nessa M I think she thought Harry was gonna get hypnotized like Ron did but that’s just what I think
I get what you mean, but I think Ginny simply didn't like how unpleasant Fleur was being. Remember, Fleur "talked to Ginny as if she was about three" (according to Ginny), she said that life with the Weasleys' was boring, she criticized Mrs. Weasleys' favourite singer, she criticized Tonks without knowing her story, she criticized Hogwarts exams etc. Who behaves like that when they're a guest in someone's house?
Fleur was only redeemed in the Weasleys' eyes when it turned out she's extremely loyal to Bill. And it looks like she became more kind, modest and down-to-earth after she married Bill. So, in a way, Ginny did judge her too quickly, but I think it's understandable given how Fleur was behaving at the time.
@@amelia724 oh shoot, I've never thought about it like that. Ginny in the books is very jealous when it comes to Harry, that would make total sense.
I mean, I think Bill's scars make him hotter, so...
Super Mer exactly right !!!
In the books it's described as much worse, like half his face was ruined (think of moody) and not just some red lines
PaceTry True, but the fanart just makes him look so cute!
True
He wasn’t supposed to get hot though🤦🏽♀️
What I love about Fleur is at first we think she is just some shallow, vain bimbo. However her character development blew me away, especially her relationship with Bill Weasley and how she stuck by him no matter what! 💕
Althouh it kinda shows her shallowness when she said after bill turned into a werewolf or something when she said
" i got enough pretty for both of us"
I think it was mainly a dark humour joke, I read above that she seemed blunt, but as any culture, there is some slight differences, and in France, being sarcastic is highly seen in society.
That is one of the reasons why we got the reputation to be quite blunt. People tend to forget that every culture has its own values that can differ, even tiny ones like slurping while eating a soup (considered a good thing in Japan, but very gross in Europe).
Going back to Fleur, I think she handled it pretty well considering the situation :)
@@evelyns3804 she was joking so............
I TOTALLY AGREE
Rowling is one of the best authors at character developement. Even tertiary characters are well-thought-out and at least a relief drawing if not completely 3 dimentional person. I think it's because J.K. scratched out their whole lives and gave them reason why they make their choices.
Bit annoying how everyone’s children are in Gryffindor or Slytherin! Where’s the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff? No chance of seeing the common rooms in the movies in the future?!
@Zoey Neal Teddy was also in Hufflepuff
No , Rose got sorted in Griffondor , That's one of the reason why she was pretty cold to Albus
Zoey Neal rose was in gryfindor
Victoire was raven claw and her youngest brother louis was hufflepuff, noone less has been confirmed other than harry and ginny, ron and hermione and bill and fleurs kids
Lady de cour why was she cold to him just because she was sorted into gryffindor?
Why was Beauxbatons portrayed as an all-girls school in the films when there were boys with them in the books?
probably because Durmstrang was an all boys school. the directors may have decided to the opposite for Beauxbatons
margareth bagile Yes, but why were both schools gendered in the films while the books showed students of the opposite gender?
If you bothered to read the answer you responded to, it isn't that hard to deduce...
The all male school would have appeared imbalanced in film... so they, as in the directors, changed the other school to all female to provide an opposing match...
Are you stupid? Or just illiterate?

I love that scene in the hospital ward where everyone realizes Fleur really loves Bill. She's insufferable up until that moment but awesome thereafter.
I defiantly liked Fluer. She was helpful to the cause against Voldemort. I wonder if she at one time was going to be a Healer as she seemed to know how to treat injuries. I like the drawings of Fluer and especially. The Drawing of Madame Maxine was especially good.
but why does the girls not like her? i quite liked her straightforwardness, bravery and cleverness.
From reading and listening to the books more than 20 times, I believe it is mostly because of her uppidity attitude, pretty much the same reason she was unlikable in GoF. She often believes that her life is better than others. I believe this changes in DH however as she realizes that there are far more important things in life.
uppidity attitude? Hope you don't mind to elaborate a little? Im intrigued to know! :D
@@akabaneaki I suppose what I mean is that the way she talks to others makes you believe that she thinks she is above or better than her peers. At least this seems to be the case in GoF. It seems more like ignorance to me in DH, but Molly, Ginny, and Hermione all dislike her in DH anyway so maybe she was still acting high and mighty.
ah i see! i guess thats a way to look at it. I have always see that form of her attitude as intelligence and experianced but i guess from their point of view it could be seen as such too. Thank you for taking the time to explain to me! :D
Jealousy
Fleur is graceful and beautiful, but is still a strong, brave woman. She’s empowering. P.S I love the peaceful music playing in the background.
It's a shame that the Weasley surname kinda makes all people who marry into the family sound ridiculous. Fleur Delacour becomes Fleur Wesley, Angelina Wesley, Hermione Wesley... All these cool names just became silly lol

She's really an underrated. The movie, like it does the rest of the HP characters, cut out some of her most important parts of the book.
Fleur is one of the most underrated Harry Potter characters, without question. Great video!
Peevees in the movies: *Angry noise*
Fleur is a CRIMINALLY underrated character.
We need to know more about Fleur's family history, like perhaps on her father's side of the family, she is descended from a Viking wizard who was one of the very first settlers in Normandy. Her paternal and maternal grandfathers were war heroes and veterans of both the first and second World War before they met and later married their respective spouses. And maybe Fleur would have either a great grandfather or great uncle on her father's or mother's side of the family that was a member of the French Foreign Legion until he was honorably discharged.

Fluer's grandma:what should i give to my grand child i know a bit of my hair for her wand!
Veela were/are a very rare and extremely powerful magical creature, so using a hair (almost like their source of magic for veelas as its where their charm comes from) to power her grandchilds wand is actually a really sweet gift, especially because the grandma was a full veela and not quarter like fleur.

In some legends, Veela's die if even one hair is plucked from them. The fact that it's so specifically one hair that makes the core of the wand makes me think it was a sort of dying gift from Fleur's grandmother, or maybe a wand handed down from mother to her eldest daughter. Fleur's firstborn is also a girl, and I'd like to imagine she'd pass the wand to her.

Fleur got treated so badly in the 6th book, like damn give the girl some slack. She always seemed to be a very nice person and caring for others, and yet mrs. Weasley, Ginny, Hermione and so on all seemed to really dislike her despite her seemingly having done nothing to deserve it.
I am glad she got some redemption at the end of the 6th book and a few more moments after that, although I feels as if she deserves more credit for how talented a witch she has to have been.
All in all Fleur deserved better then what she got.
> She always seemed to be a very nice person
Um... no she wasn't. That's precisely why Ginny, Hermione and Molly didn't like her.
I didn't really like Fleur at first, but she got better and now I love her.
I think Fleur might be my favorite female character
I loved her so much in the books. I was unsure of her at first since she seemed snobbish, but she grew on me to be one of my favorite female characters. Especially when she still loved Bill after he was savaged by Greyback. A lot of people would've sadly backed away like Molly said. But Fleur refused to leave Bill and even joked that "It's lucky that ze French always undercook zer meats" when Lupin suggested Bill might develop a liking for rarer meat after the attack. I really loved Fluer in the books.
I agree - she has one of the best character arcs in the books.
Rick Stuifzand Because she is smart, fierce and not afraid to speak her mind and be herself
TsukabuNosoratori2 I agree
Everybody only loves her because she's quarter veela.
they disliked her for ... 'her general attitude towards everything' jesus, that harsh.
Well, she did have that attitude :-) But she changed for the better and she had lots of other, great qualities.
D It's normal to feel annoyed when people have that attitude, but yeah, I agree with you. It was harsh of Molly and Ginny to judge Fleur. Especially Ginny, because she called her cow and Phlegm behind her back. They were too focused on her flaws.
@@martavdz4972 fleur didnt change. Ginny failed to see that fleur was opinionated and confident. And just didnt like that
@@lizzieheartswifeandgf Too focused? She wasn't really showing much else, so what were they supposed to focus on?!
A surprising number of views for a character that was very underrepresented in the movies. I noticed that HP fandom always has her in fanfiction too. Shipping her not only with Bill, but Harry, Hermione and many others. Once you get past her initial arrogance, she is quite awesome. Beauty, Brains, Bravery. She is one of my fave female characters.
So glad you did a video on Fleur she is one of the most underrated HP characters. She was so brave and resourceful and just tried her best always.
I really loved fleurs character in the novels. I think she’s a really strong female character and I always hated it when Ginny, molly, and her minor spoke behind her back in the series.
Fleur is a true woman. All women should be like her, then the world might just be a better place. Not by her beauty, but by her heart
She is so underrated, and I blame the movies for that, they really did not do her justice. A lot of people talk about how Hermione and Ginny are different in the books, but Fleur was on another level.
This was a great birthday present. My birthday is today and it wasn't the greatest day but this was something good to help lighten the emotional load. Thank you! =)
She is so underrated, and it was so sad when everybody judged her at first at the borrow. Plus (I know this isn't really relevant) one of the cutest parts in the hp books is when in the epilogue we read that teddy lupin is dating victoire weasley:)
Fleur did not start Beauxbaton’s in 1997. The Tri Wizard Tournament was in 1994-95. The second wizarding war was ended in 1998.
@electric 2002indigo It is 1988.
Fleur is so underrated I loved her so much
Having never read the books, I didn’t know hermionie Ginny and Mrs Whesley didn’t like Fleur.
Very ironic cause glamorous looking people have been viewed as bullies for hating on ugly / average looking people.
And this showed to be a great example looks aren’t everything, and that a glamorous looking girl could love someone who has scars on their face. Well done :)
In the Harry Potter Books, Ginny is very good looking and very popular at Hogwarts, by book six book Hermione is also rather pretty, no longer the “ugly duckling” she was as a kid and Mrs. Weasley is not “ugly “ either😂. However Fleur is also very pretty, perhaps even in a slightly unbelievable/ non human way because she has Veela blood. Because of this she puts many boys in a sort of “trance” in a way “normal” girls wouldn’t. So I think yes these are the reasons Hermione and Ginny dislike her and are a bit jealous. ( I think that she is just a bit “different” than them having a slightly different culture and this makes them think she is “stuck up” when she really doesn’t mean I be) . I think Mrs. Weasley senses this too and also doesn’t warm up to Fleur for a long time because of this. Mrs. Weasley however I don’t believe is jealous of Fleur because she is so pretty, I think just that Bill is the first of her sons to get married and even to bring a serious adult girlfriend home to visit soo I think this also makes her slightly flustered and uncomfortable and dislike Fleur.
They all warm up to Fleur however eventually and while acting the way they did is not ok, Fleur do some things that were a bit “rude” for the standards of the Weasleys even though the were probably not necessarily meant that way. ( being very “ honest “ about her opinions of everything, the “horrible” chicken coop of the burrow, disliking Mrs. Weasleys taste in music or telling her her cooking is far to heavy and she will not fit into her clothes “
I’m sure the 26 dislikes are bill and tonks shippers
could also be Harry/Fleur shippers.
Ben Walker ew how could they ship harry and fluer?!??!!
The ship is usually Charlie and tonks though? I don't think I've ever seen a bill/tonks ship given he wouldn't have interacted with her all that much where Charlie was only a few month older in canon rather than 2/3 years. The only reason he got with fleur is he met her through Harry and then again was paired with him at gringotts

I think I ship Lupin and Tonks
Imagine being a quarter Veela. Just make sure to develop a nice personality, strong values and skills, and that's you basically sorted in life, you've got it all 😁
Fleur is one of the most underrated characters in the Harry Potter books and movies I mean she is so kind and showed how much she loved bill and worried about him, overall I think she should’ve been featured more in the books and movies☺️
I loved Fleur from the start. I found her funny and later brave and awesome
She is quite well fleshed out as a character. The movies don't show a lot, for the sheer bulk of information. But I really appreciate this video a lot... You really did her justice.
I would like to see you tell about Charlie Weasley in a video... There's hardly anything about him at all...
I've been looking forward to this video! Thanks Dean.
What do you they mean shes selfish and stuff? She fought in the trimagic tournament, gave her life for harry and fought against DEATH EATERS at his escort and later fought at the battle of hogwarts. For me theres a brave warrior behind that cute princess face
Fleur gave me inspiration for one of my characters in my book series! She’s a fantastic character. I kinda wish her story could be expanded upon.
I just don't see Hermione having conflict with her. Fluer has so many good qualities.
I agree. It seems Hermione would accept Fluer and I'm sure she did in the end.
Hermione champions S.P.E.W. and Fleur has disdain for Hogwarts (at least when she first gets there). It seems like a good place to start a conflict.
Hermione was jealous of her beauty.
I don't care what you have to say, Hermione isn't a cover girl.
She's beautiful in Ron's eyes, and that's all that matters.
Wow, once again U managed to make a beautiful video, tnx loved it! Fleur is honestly such a wonderful and facanating character ♥️♥️♥️
Love all of ur vids, just a suggestion could you do one on the life of the Weasley twins?
We need more of Fleur in the future.
Although Lavender Brown and Fleur Delacour were my two favorite girls in HP universe, Fleur would be my first real crush. She's kind, brave, loyal and (of course) very, very beautiful. I kinda wish she got more of a backstory like Hermione or Luna or even Nymphadora. But that's OK - I'm still happy with what I got.
At first, Fleur Delacour reminded me of the girls in my high school that you always wanted to date but you knew were ALWAYS "unattainable" because they were so pretty. I know that if Fleur had attended my school during my schooldays, she'd most likely see me as just a friend and the relationship wouldn't go any farther than that. I know she'd say "Let's just be friends" if I asked her to be my girlfriend and she'd break my heart. Oh well, you can't win them all. This was a great video - thanks for putting it up!!
Thank you for making this. Me and a bunch of others had suggested the life of Fleur Delacour-Weasley. Looking forward to watching it!😀
The similarities between Loki and Snape is very striking:
1) Both had irresponsible fathers
2) Both wanted to be the best. Loki wanted to be a better warrior/fighter than Thor and Snape wanted to be a better wizards than James Potter. Both were jealous of their rivals.
3) Both are hated and loved alike by their respective fan bases.
4) 4/10 MCU fans might tell Loki deserves a lot more respect Harry potter fans tell the same for Snape.
5)Loki lost to Thor on at least 3 occasions similarly Snape lost to James on at least 3 occasions.
6) Both had slytherin personalities and did many things for the greater good. However their actions were misunderstood.
7) Last but not least both died after getting strangled by their own masters . Loki was strangled by Thanos and Snape bitten by Nagini on orders from Voldemort.
What does this have to do with anything?
@Rick Stuifzand MCU loki
Ya they are the mirrors of each other. Especially point 2 , the only reason Loki did not become king was he wanted to be the best asguardian warrior and was not interested in learning more about warfare similarly Snape too in his interest of beating James Potter only wanted to be the best and he wasn't interested to "learn" any magic. Ravenclaw would never be the house for them.
Thor would be sorted to ravenclaw if he were a wizard.

Just pointing out the similarities
Thanks for making these videos. It honestly, helps make my sleepless nights, less lonely
if you look the meaning of her name and break all the parts down, she's literally named "Flower, of the weasel meadow, of the yard"
deal with that
on Goblet of Fire movie, during the second task at the black lake, Hermione said to Harry "Fleur was attacked by ze grindelows" she quite has an accent. Did you guys noticed that as well or is it just me
Alyssa Reyes Hermonie was mocking her I think, making fun of Fleur for her accent because she failed at the second task so that means Harry wasn’t in last place
Thank you for this video, Fleur is one of my favourite characters along with Hermione and Ginny
In the school she went to the houses were not based on characteristics, but rather what they wanted to study or what they were best at. Students were not competing against other houses, but competed within their house, as they were taking classes based on what house they’re in. I had a lot more info, but these are just the basics I remember.
I loved Fleur from the moment she was introduced. She seemed shallow at first but she also knew how to be grateful towards people. I hated how Mrs. Weasley and Ginny treated her just because she was pretty and a foreigner. Her and Bill were one of the most underrated couples in the series. Her determination to stick with Bill and his family no matter what was admirable. I love her!
I have a feeling that Ron predicted someone in his family will fall in love with someone involved with butterflies he says (" why spiders, why couldn't we follow the butterflies") Fleur and the other female students introduced themselves with blue butterflies and soon after she fell in love with Bill Weasley.
I love Fleur in the books. However I wasn’t impressed with their movie version. Yes, she was garage, but she barely had any lines and seemed so helpless.
See that’s what I love about this channel. You can read all the books multiple times yet still discover new things!
You know it's like there are some people that you dislike but as more you get to know them, you learn to know more other side of them. That's how it is with Fleur. Unlikeable on the surface but as you got to know her you just fell in love more and more. Maybe that's how Bill actually learn to love her as they grew close with the time they have spent in Gringotts.
Your movies are filled with beautiful art work (apart of really good content - I like the way you put everything together)
“Zis little boy is to compete” hahahaha😂
Thank you so much Fluer is my absolute favorite harry potter character without a doubt. I have been waiting for the video since the debut of the series, I'll be looking to add myself to your patreon account. Again thank you, and please keep up the good work.
Absolutely no disrespect to Clemence Poesy who is a beautiful girl but the way Fleur is described in the books she seems almost ethereal and goddess like, and I thought she was rather underwhelming in the films, I was expecting more.
Victoire is a girl, not a boy. She was born at the time of Harry’s defeat of Voldemort. In page 756 of The Deathly Hallows, James Potter rushes up to his parents, who have come to see him off to Hogwarts, and tells them he saw Teddy Lupin snogging Victoire; “...and he said he’d come to see her off!”. I believe her name is pronounced Victory, due to being named so in honor of the defeat of Voldemort.
Wendy Mathews Victoire was born on May 2nd, the anniversary of the defeat of Lord Voldemort. Her name means Victory in French in which I believe is a well suited name for her.
Rena Shotts thank you! I had read about her I think on Pottermore. I’ve seen other videos where people mistake her for a boy, because of her name. 😍
Wendy Mathews No problem! I'm glad I could help!
