accepting a late McDonald’s order is a nightmare depending were you live if the lobby’s closed you could end up sitting for 15 minutes plus in the drive through
I pay my car $0.40 / mile. She has her own account for gas and maintenance. She is also saving for down payment on her own replacement. She is a good car/co-worker.
@J-wk7mh mines the 2000 model with stock 1.6 liter its no frills and puts out a mere 108 hp . All I care about is the good mileage . I'll never go back to jeeps and Chevys after this . With those huge 3 inch exhaust pipes, 40 gallon gas tanks , big heavy parts , large costly tires it's so wasteful. I have these little 13 inch wheels like mini brands or something. Any smaller and it's a riding mower. Took me 46 years to figure this out tho
I'm a top dasher but there's a lot of competition in my area so I got a bot. The bot has helped me a lot since I got it on Thursday. I get good orders. Gigshield sold it to me. Also, I really like that I can choose how far I'm willing to drive for an order. I love that I don't have to camp outside of restaurants to get good orders.
This may be true to your area, you haven’t dashed all over the US… you can’t generalize… by the way door dash sends you the miles you’ve driven at years end!
They do send the miles?? I'm new to this so I need to know. I also drive for my main job for Home Health nursing/hospice nursing. Can I write off those miles too ?
I'm sure glad the title of this was- things davemeraz5117 knew before he started door dashing. Same energy as someone commenting on a bean soup recipe saying they don't like beans.
This comment is very general in itself, he speaks on 6 different points. So which point are you speaking of that is generalized cause I can’t figure it out from your general comment.
I agree , using delivery jobs as a side gig is the best way , usually, get off from your regular job and then put 4 or 5 hours in delivery jobs. Makenlike 50 to 70 dollars , we'll say 50 on average . So you got 90 from your main job and 50 from side gig , 140 a day .
It jus depends. if your main job pays $18+ then yes. if ur main job pays $14-$17 and you make $20+ especially $23+ with doordash it may be better to just do doordash entirely. especially if you have an old car that can put miles. And itd be a lot more enjoyable than a regular job. The only real downside to doordash that people dont talk about is the risk due to driving with other people on the road otherwise if you find a good area you can doordash 24/7. in my area i can work from 4am-11pm and make $20 an hr
@@TheFCB10R Im in central jersey. Not going to give my exact location on the internet but just for reference it has a median income of about $130k income and theres around 60-70k people in my area. its a wealthier suburb with a lot of restaurants. These kind of places are your best bet. Either a suburb like that or college towns will make you the most.
Idk I’m a new dasher been doing it about a week and closing in on 100 delivers and I’ve only done it 9 hours total and made over 600$ so about 70$ a hr for me
I'm using a bolt grabber software Programm by JEREMIHTECHZ to auto grab blocks to my suprise the bolt grabber is very sensitive in auto grabbing high paying orders now i'm making cool cash
Time of the day is another tip. Example is 3pm from Taco Bell vs 10 pm from Taco Bell. 3pm is in and out vs 10pm you can be there 20 plus minutes as their inside is closed. Know what time each restaurant closes thier dinning room.
This for sure. Fast food restaurants with to go shelves and designated areas during the afternoon are some of my best orders because i am in and out usually and they prioritize those orders. Can usually make $6-10 per order and only take like 15 min total on these orders.
i have to drive 11 miles to a decent dashing area, then drive 11 miles back unless i catch an order on the way home which is rare. my question is can i claim them 22 miles a day on my taxes or?
Please make a video of your strategy and workflow! Would be beneficial for a lot of beginner Dashers not knowing where to start in terms of definite standards.
Do you need a special commercial insurance for delivering food with dd? I understand you need regular insurance, that’s a given, but has anyone upgraded their insurance to commercial just because of dd?
Just started dashing and the sch drives me crazy 30min at a time. Dash now not available in your area prompt to schedule. Are there to many ppl in my area already dashing? I hate sitting around for a hour to get that next little slot. Any advice I'd appreciate it. Thanks
Most of this is no longer applicable, for Dashing. DD is constantly changing policies, to benefit them, not drivers. I log my own miles and pay , with my odometer trip settings, just zero it out @ the begging of your dash, and log milage at the end of your dash. I use an Excel sheet, that I created, to log daily miles, and income. I'm ready for tax time. I also have a yearly sheet, by the month, for tax time. 😁 It only takes a few minutes a day, and I can do it on my phone, at the end of my dash.

If you have multi apps what happens to the door dash acceptance rate? Also how do you switch around from door dash to let’s say grubhub on your phone. I mean if your on the Dior dash screen how do you know there’s a grub hub order ? TIA
I only use DD for now but considering Grub Hub too. I would assume that the Grub hub app sends you a notice and you just look at it the same way you would look at a text you get if you're using DD. But if you accept the Grub Hub delivery then just pause your dash on Door Dash. Shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes to do a delivery. Then after the GH delivery, resume your dash time on DD
