I really am not one to dunk on products or be ‘that guy’ but to everyone reading this stay FAR away from the Astro A50s. The sound quality is exceptional but I’ve gone through 3 pairs already in the course of about 4 years. All 3 eventually had sync issues between the base station and the headset and that’s with keeping the headset and base station firmware up to date. 1st time it happened they were past the one year warranty from Astro and after talking to tech support they concluded the headset was toast so I bought a 2nd pair from Best Buy thinking it was just a one off lemon. Same exact thing happened but the only difference is I have Best Buy total tech so they covered out of warranty malfunctions with no problem and that’s honestly the only reason I still have a pair.
I have the Arctis nova pro wireless. I like the fact that through the Dac, I can connect my Xbox, PC, and Logitech G560 speakers. It’s nice to be able to hear sound through the speakers when I’m on my series X, when the headset is not being used. The multi platform connectivity was definitely a must have for me. My Xbox and PC are both in the same room. It’s very nice to be able to turn on whatever I’m using, and it just works. No switching, moving, or having to use extra transmitters for multiple devices.
I have a50’s and after 2 years they won’t even connect to my pc anymore. I’ve deleted the software reconnected, deleted files, everything you can think of and they will not connect. Hard pressed to ever buy them again, very common after looking it up

i can only speak to the gen 1 nova pro, ive owned it about a year now. the little nodes for noise cancelling touch ur ears and make them sore. u have to wear it perfectly to not feel them. the headset is also stiff and has a strong clamp. so for me its a little uncomfortable. good news is, its still as rigid as day 1. so its well built and will continue to last me. i have had NOTHING but problems with the base system and batteries. one battery died within a month. wont charge in any way. headset randomly connects and reconnects in a loop until u reset the battery. for the price. i think there are too many pitfalls.
I got the a20s and they pop soooo bad. I’ve filed a claim so I should be receiving a new pair. Hopefully it was just a defective pair, cuz sound is great. But, then again, that’s why I’m looking for a new pair 🤷♂️

I have the Astro A50 2019 Gen 4 version bought in 2022. Best wireless headphones Ive ever had for gaming and listening to music. Alas...they stopped working yesterday. There is a blinking red light on the charging base and in the Astro command center softwear app, the battery charge indicator shows 0%. No matter what I try like connecting directly with a usb cable, the headset will not charge. Sometimes I can get it to charge for a bit and the idicator will show that its charging but then it will go back down to 0% instantly and the red light will start blinking again. Looks like I will be looking for a new set . Bummed out cause these things are extremely expensive. For the money I was expectiing them to last much longer.

The sound on steel series is so much better. I thought I was doing something by spending more money on turtle beaches, but I was wrong.
