- Whats up guys and gals! Took a trip down to my home town Las Cruces New Mexico for Thanksgiving week. Couldn't pass up the opportunity to go hit the outdoor Dirt track they have out there!
Raced my Slash 4X4 Ultimate against my Team Associated SC10.3 2wd in a head to head time attack competition to see which R/C is dominant!

So I have a Helion Volition XLR which is basically just like a Team Associated SC10 and that driving experience seemed exactly what I'm use to. On straightaways you can never really fully throttle it as it's too easy for the end to kick out. I'm convinced that if I were to stick wit this ride, some sort of weights in the front end to balance it out a little bit (all the weight is in the back) and a transmitter/receiver with gyro built in would probably make a huge difference in the fun factor.
For sure here the difference between the two was 2WD vs 4WD

Couple hours from you in Carlsbad. Gear mesh on the slash sounds way too tight. Good runs though.
Yea that’s probably true... alone with all the dirt I’ve accumulated in the chassis. She’s due for a deep cleaning
Why are you comparing a 4x4 to a 2wd? The SC10 is alot better than the 2wd slash when it comes to racing, and of course the 4x4 slash is alot better than the 2wd SC10. Dope video tho...I like how you have multiple angles of the video. Awesome resolution on the vid as well. ✌
Nice video thanks! Hey just wondering, do you have a gyro or some kind of assistance on the Traxxas ? Looks like it did hold the straight line pretty well..!
thanks! and yup the Traxxas R/Cs most come with an integrated gyro in the ESC which adds the stability management. Im thinking im going to install a traxxas ESC and servo on the SC10 and see how it does. Will be a little heavier but should handle better.

Slash 4x4 always.... but 2wd and 4wd is totally different experiences.... which app do you use to count laps?
The app I was using was "LapTracker" which I got off the Apple App Store for free
put a gyro on the 2wd, it will make a big difference exiting corners...
I definitely am going to try that out!

Where is that track at? I live in AZ i want to check that out.
This track is actually back in my hometown in Las Cruces NM..... unfortunately there's no more Track down here in Tucson anymore since HobbyTown closed.. The nearest track I Know of is the indoor Clay track at Hobby Action in Chandler AZ.
@@EverythingAvron oh ok, I am trying to find a 10th scale track. I'm near the fear farm track but it's 5th scale and I don't run anything that big.
