Just found this vid, I’ve just bought a Slash 2WD myself. I’m not racing or anything, I just have a bit of fun. I have always wanted a stadium truck and mine has the Hawaiian body and I think they look pretty sweet. Im going to do a few mods to it, it’s in excellent condition and barely used so it should last me for the longest time. Everyone I’ve seen say the shocks aren’t the greatest so I may upgrade those first, and then some tyres. I was thinking I might put a Ford Raptor body onto it but they’re pretty expensive and I’d rather spend it on mods to go faster or last longer. That orange body looks really really nice, awesome colour for sure!
@@RCKnockout Cool, I got mine really cheaply and got a battery, charger and lipo bag with it so it’s ready to go. I only really have some cheap bashers so it’ll be sweet to have a really good tough truck to have some fun with.
Looks like the Slash is running well. The Losi looks like it could use some suspension tuning. I love the challenging driving characteristics of a 2wd. The 4x4 usually owns the dirt. Rpm makes the offset compensating front arms for use with 4x4 wheels.
Ever since upgrading to brushless and then VXL axles in my 2wd, I can't keep a set of rear wheels on. The hub hexes are fine, but the nuts keeping spinning themselves off and the nylon that's supposed to hold them in wears away. I started dabbing the nut and axle with loctite every time I change wheels or tires and it's been working so far. I might pickup some hex claws just to have around in case I'm ever in a pinch.
Yeah the wheels do have a way of coming loose which is extremely annoying, even with thread lock…..the wheel hex claws do work very well at keeping the hex’s in one piece though
if you drive/practice on a dry track, driving a race-prepped damp track is a breeze. Plus it's so much easier to blow off dust then to clean off mud. LOL!

hey man, ive seen several of your slash 2wd videos, im wondering what tires are going to be durable and good for all around bashing? you seem to have gone through them, just asking if you did it over, which tires are king?
