Can I just point out the text book ethics and skill with these drivers are showing clearing out of the way for the leaders to get around with hardly any interuption and slowing down absolutely fantastic sportsmanship, and text book racing ethics well done!
Thats good to see, no sense in causing a pile up and possibly damaging vehicles when you know your vehicle is not going to run with the lead pack. Always better to stay out of the way, run your laps and save your vehicle for another race✌️
SCT is my favorite type of rc racing. I like that two trucks can make contact without crashing every time because the wheels aren't open. I think it makes for more exciting side by sides.
Its my least favorite they look like pigs trying to take corners with the narrow bodies a d oversized plastic body, they cant junp Well cuz its like a parachute just a horrible class i know it got popular Because pf traxxas (slash) but i really dislike it personally
@@unnamedracer9757 no am telling u they look like they dont belong there.. its like if u put a truck in a race track it can do it but they dont belong.
Needs to be way more SCT races. They are more fun to drive and even just watching the pros, bumping and banging and not wrecking at the slightest bit of contact like with the buggys, it great!
The amount of fun I've had with my friends racing our humble Pro4 SC10 RTR trucks is hard to exaggerate. Basically you can even agree to have a no rules type of race because nothing ever really breaks. Sometimes you might have to fix a bumper or pick up some body pieces from the track after the race from all the ramming but that's it.
That opening race was seriously phenominal, at least by a guy (me) who hit the tracks a decade ago when they had not all shut down where I lived.... I truly LOVED the front 3 going at it, and the pole starting truck came back and kinda knocked the OG 2 & 3 back a bit... Of course, them instantly recovering is some serious "stick" (wheel) and throttle action all across the track...
Its just so much more fun to watch than Buggies, and race i would guess? I watched the European 4 wheel drive Buggie championship 2024 and for me it was boring, like when formula 1 has a dominant team. But this is just so much better to watch , like rallying compared to F1. Love it.
Seeing stuff like this is why i think its a problem for letting the first place guys go by. It caused a ton of wrecks, It doesnt give people further behind the chance to actually catch up as theyre just letting the people battling by and no one else even if theyre a few seconds off, and they should have to earn that position by doing a clean passinstead of it just being handed to them.
How is it being handed to them?? If other drivers are being lapped then they just need to go wide, hardly being handed to them if they are being lapped is it, Problem starts when the slower drivers get in the way and wont let you pass
@@leeiverson145 then people should learn to work their way around them because what happens is theyll let first and 2nd usually go around but not other people which just gives the first 2 guys a bigger advantage and less of a chance for 3rd to catch up if they wreck because the first couple guys didnt have to fight for that lapped position. Its a competition and you shouldn't want or expect people to let you by and give you better positioning. I personally hate this concept in racing and think its stupid.
I agree with this in head to head racing, but if your running on times it's actually faster to let the leader through. You don't wreck and lose time and neither does the leader. Your trading courtesy for not losing time on either drivers.
Nowadays there's not many options for a race spec 4WD SCT, but most folks running Tekno or LOSI at the higher levels but there are many other 4x4 sct to choose from to get started.
most of the cars you will see in competition are custom built kits, you can buy kits from companies like Team Losi Racing (TLR) but after you buy electronics and the kit you'll be spending at least 1,000 bucks
@Filipino Vegas life. It just depends on your driving style tlr is better for some one with a more loose driving style and team associated is better for someone with a more tight and consistent driving style and XRAY is somewhere in between
Hey everyone I want to get back into RC trucks! I’m an empty nester and can make the time now to build and tune. I’m totally ignorant after a 27 year break from RCing. Any suggestions for a good unit to build?
It's not that hard to drift and powerslide with an SCT if it's in a half decent tune. Even a modest RTR vehicle can be very easy to drive, with a fast enough servo and radio gear. I suppose a well tuned racing thingie will be very stable. I think it's the longish wheel base and total weight that makes them not so twitchy. And no, I am not saying I can drive like these drivers, but rather a gyro is not the secret sauce here :)

It's such an epic battle! These fellas are definitively putting on a show. SCT ISNT DEAD!
I will forever strive to have his consistently on the track. That truck was dialed as it could get seemed to float around the track.

Love to get into this type of racing
How can these guys wheel these trucks so well. I was getting dizzy watching. Kiddos to these drivers
Awesome races!!
Brilliant racing! ❤
Great race!! Looks like a blast.
Couple bad spots in that track.. noticing a pattern on a couple inside corners.
Great racing.
Way to go phend
I wonder if you have to use the stock pinion or not.. would be cool to play with pinions to see what works for that straight away stretch for speed.
This is one of my favorite vids of SCT Racing. What camera is being used for this event?
Fantastic video. What state was this event held in.
I mean phend is almost whipping a freaking short coarse truck can i take driving lessons from him lol
4x4 truck is back!!!
Phend is a beast!
