Super-rare car, AND here's the Designer... wow, incredible stuff guys thank you. I laughed when you mentioned the toolkit is in the nose section... which itself requires 3 people to access it. Only an Italian car would have that feature! Look forward to the Enzo Users Guide, thank you!
I worked at a Toyota dealership in the 2000s. We specialized in collector cars in our used car department, why, because we were car guys 😊 We had bought a really nice 72 Monte Carlo and had it shipped to us inclosed carrier. I asked the driver if he had anything neat inside his trailer... he said yeah, a couple of Maserati's going to Texas to DOT approved for the USA. He opened a side door and there was not 1, not 2, but 5 MC12's in his trailer ??? All brand new !! I will never forget that day !!
I was at Ferrari Maserati North America for this stretch, got to spend much time with Frank, who's a lovely guy. We brought the Corsa to IMSA for 2005- the tires killed us, but the crowds and even the competition liked seeing the car on track. At Sebring, our first time back since '57 as Factory Maserati, we brought a 450S and threw a nice party in the paddock early in the week. For a short period- from 2000-2005 the company was Gruppo Ferrari Maserati, under di Montezemolo. VERY special time for both brands and why Maserati lives today.
Between all of the UA-cam channels I follow I must have 3-4 hours of uploads to get through a day. This series on this channel however must be my all time favourite. You learn SO much about these iconic cars, most of it stuff that’s hard to even find online when searching yourself. Most people might not even get chance to see one in person, so to have a very user friendly “user guide” for these cars it’s almost as if you have a 1-1 session with the car.
Three towering giants in their respective fields; James, Mr. Stephenson, and the MC 12. It is weighty proof that for a person with Frank’s stature to be interviewed by James says it all....we are spoiled for content. Another excellent video. Best 28 minutes I spend all day. These, ‘users guides’ are Master classes and much fun. What are going to do from here, James?
Awesome content, so many details and if that was not enough, the designer him self breaking down the most intimate design details and hints about the master piece… What a channel, thank you for the great job, I no dot understand how people watch Dug Demuro’s trash instead of this beautiful data source! Thank you again and keep It up, please!!
Stunning. I've been privileged to see 2 of them in person. Additionally, all of them were in this color scheme, except the one delivered to Michael Schumacher which was a very metallic black.
Terrific video guide and I only wish I needed as a "user"! Great to have Frank discuss. My favorite GT race car of all time and loved when it raced in the Vitaphone livery. What a sound! Recommend the Petrolicious video on the Tube with British hot shoe Sam Hancock driving in anger! Thanks so much, James!
I can only say THANK YOU for this video and these series of wonderfully made clips. So many memories of the MC-12 when I was working in Paris, it was always so absolutely dramatic to have it on the streets, even when parked next to the Enzo.
I love these User Guide videos! This one was even better than usual. Well done for getting Frank in as well, great to hear his input. I appreciate you creating these videos, James, looking forward to the next one! Cheers!
Would have been interesting to hear from the designers point of view on why they closed not to cover the headlights but just leave them open. 🤔 Great video!! 😊
I remember one time the car was fired up right in front of the main doors of the Hôtel de Crillon, in Paris. Apart from the fact that plenty of people complained and many others were shocked with the noise, the car exhaust literally generated wind inside the lobby. This is something no other car had ever done. The MC-12 is absolutely insane.
Wow what an incredible video and interview about one of my favorite cars of all time! I leaned so much watching this. Thank you for a great video and I added this to my favorites.
Well if for some sheer dumb luck i find myself in an MC12, I will know the in’s and out’s of how to operate the beast😂. Awesome presentation as always, they don’t make these kinds of cars like they used to.
So it's a 3 man job to fill up washer fluid, or to get the tools to change the tires? a pity there is only 2 seats, lets hope there is some friendly passer-by who will lend a hand, or that the cell reception is sufficient.
Thank you so much for going into each and every detail of this gorgeous ultra rare sports- and racecar beauty. So now we're perfectly prepared if some super rich billionaire invites us into his garage. The first thing I would ask for is to check the oil and then watch his face when I let it run warm and then rev it up to 4,000 rpm... ;-)
great stuff, can you do a user guide on the 78 Camry, base model, I am in serious ongoing negotiations to purchase one and need the ins and outs of it.
Personally I'd be putting the tow hook in the cabin somewhere, no way would I be attempting to take the front clam shell off on my own. Sods law says it might be needed if one gets too fruity on the loud pedal near a wet English ditch!
2:50 "It's so much easier today" Love these videos but to see the rich of this Earth shamelessly praising the massive increase in income inequality over the past decades like that is downright revolting.

Frank is a legend in the design business
One of the best series on UA-cam. Love it

Were they all the same white/blue?
So topping up the washer fluid involves a three man lift of the front clam, brilliant.. bloody love Italians.
3:10 that's such a legendary image...
Probably one of the best videos on this car. No BS, no junk intros and music, just an honest enthusiasts talk about a phenomenal car.
11:52 "We didn't have time for that bullshit".
I love it.
Really cool to have the actual designer there too
I've seen a couple of these cars at Lime Rock Park back in 2007 /2008.... they are Stunning to Behold!!!

DK + Frank Stephenson? What else do we need from YT?
Love the MC12 - made me a Maserati fan and Maserati owner.

Amazing car and amazing guest. When I first saw this car I felt in love. What a design and painting!!! Much more nice than an Enzo.
I‘m in love with this Channel ❤
Can‘t wait for the next usersguide.
Wish i could work there in such a clean and puristic workshop
Frank is a legend, a hero of mine. Amazing content!
These are the best car videos in YT car reviewers space. Waiting for more.
Great that you have Frank join the user guide. I liked His additions to the talking points.
I can't lie. Being waiting for this one since the first iteration!
Superb 🍻🤩
I haven't seen it yet but it's like a sweet dessert you know you are going to love: saving it for later to savour it fully relaxed. Love this car.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite YT channels, brilliant content 👍🏻
I was expecting a "regular" user's guide.... What a nice surprise to.have the designer there. Grear video!!!
Wow Frank, great to see him introducing one of his projects.
Just discovered the channel & it's awesome no bs professional approach nice.
Had no idea they were a targa top, wouldn't that be an awesome day in the sun, just a very special car, Rj in Oz
Frank's portfolio is utterly astounding.
Love these deep dives. Many videos on driving dynamics, but these 'User's Guides' are a fresh take!

So cool! I’m really surprised these unbelievable video series don’t have more view?? So cool!!!
A much more refined Enzo. Kudos to the designer.
This is your best episode
Thank you DK. I love your videos. I'm a details guy and love hearing about all the little details.
Amazing. Love it, love the colours, love the story. And the chief designer, no less! Really great post, thanks for doing it.
Your user's guide videos are oasis on UA-cam!! Much love from Greece, keep us entertained and educated!!
Thank you for bringing the designer of the car to explain each detail, really interesting :-D
Love this sort of content, I've been binging on all of these User's Guide videos.
Stunning. I've been privileged to see 2 of them in person. Additionally, all of them were in this color scheme, except the one delivered to Michael Schumacher which was a very metallic black.
These videos just keeps getting better. Thank you so much for sharing
OMG THEY GOT FRANK TOO BEST CROSSOVER IN THE UNIVERSE
MY FAV 2 CHANNELS THANK YOUUUUUU

Loved this one my favourite car and sound

That thing sounds tremendous
Only 6200 views, will be 100k soon I'd imagine. Great video.
I was hoping you would do a video on this beautiful car. What a car.
Would have been interesting to hear from the designers point of view on why they closed not to cover the headlights but just leave them open. 🤔 Great video!! 😊
Franky boyyy. First gen x5 is still a good looking car. Been humming and harring for years about adding one to my fleet of E39s.
A brilliant guide Thank You, very enjoyable to watch.
Thanxs to post it. I was in doubt how to open the front of my MC12.
Thumbs up on these user guide videos.
Franks channel is amazing too
This is the best channel & host. Ty
Holy shit, that start-up though. Sounded like a straight up race car.

This video will be useful for me.....
shortly in the future!
Lovely car, amazing piece of engineering.
Pro Job! Frank Stephenson is a great man!
one of my absolute favorite cars.
Wow what an incredible video and interview about one of my favorite cars of all time! I leaned so much watching this. Thank you for a great video and I added this to my favorites.
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL PLEASE MAKE MORE!
Frank also designed other exotic cars like the FXX, F430, Mclaren P1, 675LT, 520S, 720S
very special car and very nice video. Thumbs up!
Great, great video as usual! Thank you so much Mr. Cottingham for your knowledge and these amazing videos.
Can’t wait to see what’s next car 🙌🙌🏆🏆
the way this man leveled a diss at THE Ferrari Enzo and I was okay with it....
A shortened version makes every MC12 even more special, as there are less units. Wow.
toda una obra de ingenieria😍👌💪👏👏👏
Super video; extremely interesting and insightful. Bravo
My favorite Maserati all the time!
These videos are heaven.
Frank is great. Fantastic video
Just for the targa roof alone, this is the one to have IMO.
But in the same yellow as that Enzo please
Love this video, love this channel!
Oh, and this is a much more unique and exotic looking vehicle over it's successor, in my opinion.
Really cool car and great interview.
Well if for some sheer dumb luck i find myself in an MC12, I will know the in’s and out’s of how to operate the beast😂. Awesome presentation as always, they don’t make these kinds of cars like they used to.
SPLENDID video - tnx a lot!
such a beautiful car , great vid thanks for sharing
Just excellent as always.
17:46 whoa..... stock?
18:37 that MC12 display looks like some game boy graphics
So it's a 3 man job to fill up washer fluid, or to get the tools to change the tires? a pity there is only 2 seats, lets hope there is some friendly passer-by who will lend a hand, or that the cell reception is sufficient.
the MC is so much more beautiful than the ENZO this is a timeless design

Truly amazing. Thanks
Great video. Well done.
" sounds a job doesn't it " like Job, visiting Hell, yes, James.
I’d walk straight past an enzo to this. Homologation specials are peak.
Fascinating stuff!!
Love it! 😍👍
I love these videos ❤
Nothing about the dummy exhausts? I was waiting for a proper look at them
another great video
