I can’t express how much I LOVE these videos. A user guide for a essentially upper echelon vehicle. Please continue doing these when possible
I can't express how much I appreciate you writing this very exact comment.
👏👏👏
Absolutely in total agreement with you. Awesome level of details which make the "car" something which is an alive masterpiece. Excuse my English is this is not exactly the way British will understand it, but sounds purely what I wanted to say to me.
Cheers and please continue that way.
I'd love to have the same with a Pagani Zonda F or Cinque, but might be challenging isn't it?
Mechanically.
Ed, a French car and true mechanics enthusiast
Essentially?
Typical British understatement "essentially upper echelon vehicle" - one of the 349 sold last year at auction for $4Million American dollars.
I like when he’s playing with ac vents and the middle one pulls out 😂
And the dash brightness gets brighter than dimmer on its way upto its maximum!
@@adamfry1125 I think that's just the camera adjusting to the different light levels
9:20 (just for reference) jejeje
Ferraris always have those quirks..
🤣
Now, THIS, is a walkthrough. This guy has a superb media manner and should do this for every Ferrari!
This is like a Doctorate-level Top Gear.....Fantastic.
The F50 is probably the greatest Ferrari. Super rare, looks beautiful and it’s probably fast as hell. I also like the F40 but there is something I can’t name in the F50 that makes it better in my opinion. Absolutely gorgeous car.
The look on his face when he fired up the engine! Priceless!
Many people out there with Ferrari F50s in their garage will find this so useful, many thanks.
Oh hell yeah. I think that these Users Guides are the best thing on UA-cam. A more educated and eloquent version of Doug DeMuro.
F50 is one of my all time favourites. I’d love to see a Zonda user guide. Preferably an F or Cinque.
Or a Zonda F Roadster
Agreed!
Do a search for Harry's Garage, he had some great videos walking around his Zonda and talking through the ownership experience.
i hope you saw that your wish was granted
That F50 looks clean as heck
This is the best F50 video I've seen. Thank you. Car is an absolute dream.
Beautiful car. 1990's was an amazing time for car innovation - a perfect balance of looks, mechanics and electronics.
My absolute number one dream car. V12, manual, removable roof, and in my opinion a beautiful design. I'm dribbling 🤤
I sat in one of these at a dealer back in '97, seeing it in person really solidifies it, it's like the biggest car ever when you see it up close. And as amazing as the F50 is, it's still not my dream car, I just got my dream car, a 2011 mercedes benz SL550, because it's a reality, the F50 is not a car anyone will ever own, it's at rothschild money now.
A very underrated car I feel like, too.
@@joesmith9216 that's why it's called "dream car", sir, a car, that most people can only dream about seeing, let alone owning.
Why? The F40 is better and more iconic!
@@smashedlegends You know what they say, opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one.
The F50 has my favourite Ferrari interior, just so clean and pure.
In a time where there are so many in-depth UA-cam car reviews, I find these videos the most revealing. Must watch content every time
Greatest Ferrari following the 288 GTO and none better since. Glad to see it featured.
Best Ferrari ever made hands down
V12 and 6speed manual ... hapiness 😇😇😇
It makes me so happy that you've used one of those to go to le mans and stuck random bags of clothes wedged in the front trunk. Thank you for that story!
23k viewers qualified to get around an F50 and counting. Keep the dream alive folks.
Fun fact: those windows were known as "keep fit" spec
As if this wasn't super cool already, the closing shot with the rear suspension working away is just the icing on the cake!
That was really cool
Seriously James, I have now watched every episode and I can’t get enough of your voice and the images you guys present. You managed to bring the F50 to another level, the right level!
Greatest analog supercar in my book.
Loved every second of this.
so glad they put this tutorial here for all of us who didnt know how to use our F50's
90's cars were just amazing... Thank you DK, great content
Chapter One: Win a lottery.
Great video, and your hard work is appreciated!
Do I have Ferrari F50? NO
Do I still watch 22 minutes F50 user’s guide? HELL YEAH
F40, F50, and La Ferrari are my favorite of all time 🏁
My all-time favorite car... the F50.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing it.
Love to see a user's guide on, Porsche 959 Sport, Jaguar XJ220 S, your Miura, Ferrari 288 GTO, Ferrari Daytona, Bugatti EB110, Ruf Porsche, Lamborghini Jalpa/Silhouette, Ferrari 512TR.
Don't forget the f 50 gt 1 that they only built 3 of and were never raced. Not to mention the the new owners of these cars had to sign a contract stating they were not to be raced
2nd vote for 959
Agree with all of these esp the 959, XJ220, AND EB110 and I'd add the Enzo and La Ferrari to complete the Ferrari halo models. The Carrera GT would be a great insight too assuming you've not covered it in the past
I reckon these videos are really long to edit and to shoot. However, for us, this is pure art, pure passion! Happy new year btw! :)
I think it's the opposite actually, it's filmed in almost just one big take. My compliments go to the gentleman in the video explaining all the details the whole time
Exceptional quality video, informative, beautiful and entertaining. The subtle but very high quality production along with the knowledge from the presenter just make the video enjoyable to watch.
My childhood dream car.
These are undoubtedly some of the greatest car videos on UA-cam.
Finally A users guide for my F50! When I bought it I was clueless to how everything worked. But now I know. Next time I load up FH5 ill know how to brighten the instrument cluster 😆
Everything is so clean in the engine bay, even the hard to reach areas.
This is by far the most in depth f50 video in existence
Wow I love the f50 that's made my day already thanks guys a video I'd love to see would be what cars you have in your own garage
Incredibly informative and beautifully crafted video, as always. Loved that closing shot from *inside* the engine bay underway as well - that’s some proper eye candy.
Very best part is the last 15 seconds! Great presentation James, thanks so much!
Great video - it’s the most detailed and up close experience that most of us will ever get to an F50.
Beautiful car, it must be such a blast to drive - assuming any of the collectors who own them ever do that.
In my mind Ferrari has a reputation for maintenance money pit designs; as if they just don’t care, it’s someone else’s problem. This attitude is in distinct contrast with Porsche. Until the 991s, you didn’t have to take the back end of the car apart to service the engine. My guess is, that servicing a modern Porsche is still significantly less expensive than servicing a Ferrari.
Tax The Rich does it
It depends: Carrera GT has a carbon fiber clutch that really tends to fail, and is tremendously expensive to be replaced. Other Porsches look more reliable and "affordable".
Great series. High quality content. Keep up the good work DK Engineering.
Really love the elegant nerdiness on display in these user's guides! I'd be quite interested to see something similar going through the roof removal process, if you're looking for suggestions! Simply excellent content on this channel.
'Elegant nerdiness'. 🇬🇧🎓
These videos are phenomenal and to think these are just the cars you actually show us, there's probably dozens of iconic rare cars we don't get to see.
And very informative, I had no idea all F50s could be converted relatively easily to roadsters.
I would love to see a Porsche Carrera GT next!
I Guarantee you there’s at least one f50 owner who learned something new about their car from this video. Awesome work.
Now that is what I call unique content! What a treat, thank you. This was my childhood poster car, so a bit biased but I really like it. Congrats on selling 6 of these in 2021, must be a record..
Fascinating insight into the particulars of the F50 - thank you for sharing.
I enjoyed this video. I’ve never seen anyone go this in depth with this car. Thank you.
Excellent video! Keep them coming! Cheers!
The nuanced detail was very informative, thank you! The GT racing version of this is hands-down my absolute favorite car. 😍
The F50 really has aged well now. Such a beautiful car!
Great video!
Huge thanks for that kind videos, love it so much
For me one of the best Channels ❤️
You make a great job, please more so Videos like this.
It’s great to see this.
Thank you very much.
Loving the high-class nerdiness ; these user guides are my favourite YT videos ! Thanks
These videos are great, loving the knowledge.
Great videos. It gives the vast majority of people watching these videos, that will never have the chance to own one of these gorgeous cars, some experience in ownership.
Having just completed my sixth viewing of this fabulous users guide, (mind you, the video came out two days ago,) I am still very impressed with the level of knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm Mr. Cottingham displays. I study all of the Ferrari Supercars in great length and detail, and I am still learning these legendary cars. Mr. Cottingham is a top ‘Professor.’ Impressive as well that a family run company continues to do things the way it should be. Naturally, I would love to see a users guide about the 288 GTO and the F40. The Ferrari Enzo and the LaFerrari would be equally as fascinating, but the manual transmission cars seem to have more ‘personality’ in some way. As always, very well done videos.
Mille Grazie!
This series is VERY cool! Please continue..
this was truly wonderful to watch
Exactly what I was looking for, thank you.
You are what Doug DeMuro should have been. Informative, not geeky and boring. A great video.
That car is a work of art. The F50 and the Diablo are my all time favorite cars.
1 of my all time favorite dream vehicles. Thanks for giving us a proper walk thru!
Unfortunately I'll never be able to own such a thing. Just admire from afar. :-(
Fantastic Video as always...With all the mentions of "Like an F40" I think we know what needs to feature next!
Thank you for this great video. To see the working suspension was mind blowing! Greetings from Augsburg, Germany. I'm interested in all sports cars, Carrera GT, 918, F40, Enzo, P1, LaFerrari, XJ220, 288 GTO, whatever is currently in the workshop and is too expensive for me!
Very useful video, really guided me through things to consider when i an dreaming and owning this car, but dreams to come true!
please make more of these videos, fascinating stuff.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing this video with us, keep it coming
I had a model of one of these as a child. I always loved how it looked with the rear clamshell open.
So glad I've covered this off just in case I decide to buy an F50. Great video and I think I feel prepared for the inevitable time I need a torch in an F50.
Thanks I needed this for my F50.
Bless
I love it, went in for a drive in the F50 afterwards and it felt like now I know everything about my toy!
Exceptional video James - thank you.
Excellent presentation of the facts, thank you.
I couldn't afford the F50 but seeing it on a Shell TV commercial back in the 90s it sparked my interest for cars
Now my new favorite channel
Great video. I especially have liked the green lighting on the two nested very large dials in the instrument cluster. Something about the design is very appealing, with the hint of yellow and red at the top of the rev range.
Beautiful shots of the engine/rear end.
fabulous video. Im a huge F40 fan but the F50 is also a massive fav of mine. Thank you for the indepth look into the car.
Marvelous. Like many I never appreciated the F50 as much but having this close up look gave me a new point of view.
I love this kind of videos. GREETINGS FROM MEXICO
Love these videos. Hopefully they will come in handy one day
Great video. Thanks for making it.
Dude thank god for this guy, I’ve had an F50 sitting in my garage for 30 years, never knew how to use it.
Really helpful! I was struck trying to figure things out myself.
Excellent. Please do more!
Fantastic review!
My favorite Ferrari 🐎🔴 awesome video!
Outstanding video thank you 👍🏽
Love those kind of videos!!
In addition to the three previous users guides, Mr. Cottingham once again gives us excellent content on yet another icon. Hard to put into words how informative, enjoyable and well done all of these videos are. DK is top drawer. Always.
This car is the dream
Excellent video. Thanks for producing it. It really is amazing that people looked down upon this car for a time. It has aged beautifully, and the styling is so clean compared to modern Ferraris.
These videos are absolutely amazing.. please continue doing this in the first place! But if I may give a suggestion: maybe do a user guide for the Enzo + MC12 and the holy trinity? (P1, LaFerrari, Porsche 918)
Thank You! Just bought a F50 but indeed don’t have a clue how to use it. Now I will!
Beautiful, thanks
Best looking Ferrari ever made IMO
One of my favorites channels buy far!!!!!! 👊👊👊
This Is fascinating thanks for sharing
Great car great video. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic, great insight! Would love to see a Bristol Fighter User guide in the future.
i love the low key " Oh shit slide the vent back where it belongs" move at 9:20 lol honestly im sure they are removable but I would personally freak out and leave the building in concern I may have broken something more valuable then a nice house.
