Hi Brian. I'm considering doing the same thing on our 2018 Rockwood 2909WS as I would like to haul 4 bikes and possibly my Honda CRF250L. I've tried adding one of those expandable hitches and could not believe how much that thing moved when hauling our 4 bike carrier. Anyway, I'm curious how yours has held up. Especially what has been your experience hauling your motorcycle. Thank you.
There's a company called MOCAP that makes them. store.mocap.com/mocap_en/sq.html?Item=SQ5PBK1&QTY=15&Ext_Tube_Size=5.00000&Tube_Wall=S_P&PlugTop=FLAT&Material=LDPEBK1&mpn=SQ5PBK1&pid=SQ5PBK1-M&source=googleps&campaignid=1715181492&adgroupid=65911414966&feeditemid=&targetid=pla-643565246282&keyword=&matchtype=&gclid=CjwKCAjw49qKBhAoEiwAHQVTo9TdnfMc9En82ObUkwxpKV0g2jo8vSR5zta-6gzqHIxiWo99Xm5SdxoCF-4QAvD_BwE
I don't know who is telling people this but if you do any welding that you want strong you stick weld mig is no where near as strong as stick welding, I had a guy stop to try to weld a part for a mower and it kept breaking off and I welded it with a stick and I seen him 5-6 years later and it was still working so I asked who did it before and it was a weld shop that mig welded it and they didn't get a year out of it and I seen a rep for lincoln and miller and they both told me that stick is the strongest weld you can get and it should be the only kind of welding if you want something strong
The factory bumper isn't strong enough to mount anything to. Not even a generator. This allows me to mount dirtbike, generator, or bring firewood along. Perhaps if you watched the whole video you would have known this.
Looking Good ! Just today Purchase an 4 1/2 " by 3/16th Square Steel Tubing 8' long for $194.00 ( thank you china and joe biden) !!! Now the fun cut the beer can off and weld the Bumper On ! I think I'm going to use the Angle Grinder. Hope and a prayer...

Very good idea project. 3/16 thick 5x5 is a great choice. I bet you can put a 150kg motorbike on that bumper. Awesome job.
#1 I think it looks fabulous. #2 textured paint Big deal! Looks fantastic. Much better. #3 thx for sharing! #4 5” caps! Didn’t know u could get them!

Id like to see the dirt bike mounted back there and see how the bumper held up? How much weight did you put on this?
It a 2007 H9nda CRF450x. Holds up just fine. I don't have any picture really. But it didn't budge at all. I think it could easily hold my FZ1.
Perfect! I've been looking for the same solution, so thanks for sharing this!

What are you really going to tow that trailer behind the RV, accident waiting to happen, don't say I told you so.
