Our first flash flood encounter. After about a minute in, a wall of debris scares us away.
Throw-out bearing noise - 6 speed Toyota (2010+)
Переглядів 4,6 тис.3 роки тому
A quick glimpse of the 2010 Toyota bell housing/throw assembly issue and how/why it can chirp, squeak, and grind. Summary: Steel bearing rides on aluminum quill that shaves off material and causes bearing to wobble which in my case caused a clicking and chirping noise It wore a grove on the quill that could be felt in the peddle. I don't know if bearing failure was due to worn quill but the noi...
Heavy Duty Bumper Build - 2019 Rockwood Camper

A chronicle of my replacement of the light duty 4" bumper on my travel trailer with homemade 5" heavy duty bumper with receiver. For use with cargo carrier, or motorcycle carrier. I have not put the tire carrier back on just yet. Once i have fit the motorcycle to bumper I will determine where it should be placed so it doesn't interfere. Parts: 5'x5'x96" steel 3/16" FJ Cruiser/4Runner trailer hi...

A campy little recap of our trip to Ontario. We had hoped to catch a glimpse of northern lights but found fantastic fall views instead. Always a great time sharing the road with our friends uo north.

Ride with Mike at Wayne National Forest (Corridor & Door Run Loop)_04-19-2015
2018 Tacoma. Clutch is great and TOB isn't grinding, but it is squealing at certain RPMs and when not touching the clutch pedal. Garages want $2500 minimum for a clutch rebuild when it only has 65k miles and they even said the clutch all looks fine. Screw that. Looked into the URD sleeve kit and saw it's just held on by a few lock screws and how people are reporting the squealing returns. It returns because that sleeve is probably coming loose IMO.... Going to let it ride until I need a clutch rebuild then maybe try the sleeve kit since finding a new housing or picking one from a wreck will be too much of a PITA. Pray for me though, it just started, but I have to go way off road hauling a camper and maybe a moose in a couple weeks. This will put a lot of load on the clutch.
Hi Brian. I'm considering doing the same thing on our 2018 Rockwood 2909WS as I would like to haul 4 bikes and possibly my Honda CRF250L. I've tried adding one of those expandable hitches and could not believe how much that thing moved when hauling our 4 bike carrier. Anyway, I'm curious how yours has held up. Especially what has been your experience hauling your motorcycle. Thank you.
Did you ever put a washer/dryer combo there? We talked about doing the exact same thing but haven't done it yet.
Looking Good ! Just today Purchase an 4 1/2 " by 3/16th Square Steel Tubing 8' long for $194.00 ( thank you china and joe biden) !!! Now the fun cut the beer can off and weld the Bumper On ! I think I'm going to use the Angle Grinder. Hope and a prayer...
You apologize for not making a good video - yet this is one of the most informative I've found on why its happening. Even more, why people paid for a clutch job and still had the noise come back soon after. Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words!
Nice job. Finally some info on this issue
Id like to see the dirt bike mounted back there and see how the bumper held up? How much weight did you put on this?
It a 2007 H9nda CRF450x. Holds up just fine. I don't have any picture really. But it didn't budge at all. I think it could easily hold my FZ1.
Great video Brian!
I don't know who is telling people this but if you do any welding that you want strong you stick weld mig is no where near as strong as stick welding, I had a guy stop to try to weld a part for a mower and it kept breaking off and I welded it with a stick and I seen him 5-6 years later and it was still working so I asked who did it before and it was a weld shop that mig welded it and they didn't get a year out of it and I seen a rep for lincoln and miller and they both told me that stick is the strongest weld you can get and it should be the only kind of welding if you want something strong
Very good idea project. 3/16 thick 5x5 is a great choice. I bet you can put a 150kg motorbike on that bumper. Awesome job.
chinesium! lol
Did you have any vibration
Nope. All better!
@@brianwrxman no I mean before you fixed it
@@billyhensley7770 it would fade away when after driving for a little bit. Once it became constant it was obvious it was nearing the end of life.
@@brianwrxman appreciate it mine started out really quiet now it's rattling like tin cans in a wind storm
@@billyhensley7770 If you want to make a video of it running and I'll see if I can hear if it make similar sound.
#1 I think it looks fabulous. #2 textured paint Big deal! Looks fantastic. Much better. #3 thx for sharing! #4 5” caps! Didn’t know u could get them!
There's a company called MOCAP that makes them. store.mocap.com/mocap_en/sq.html?Item=SQ5PBK1&QTY=15&Ext_Tube_Size=5.00000&Tube_Wall=S_P&PlugTop=FLAT&Material=LDPEBK1&mpn=SQ5PBK1&pid=SQ5PBK1-M&source=googleps&campaignid=1715181492&adgroupid=65911414966&feeditemid=&targetid=pla-643565246282&keyword=&matchtype=&gclid=CjwKCAjw49qKBhAoEiwAHQVTo9TdnfMc9En82ObUkwxpKV0g2jo8vSR5zta-6gzqHIxiWo99Xm5SdxoCF-4QAvD_BwE
We were there in the beginning of September - no flash flood but the BLM came through and regraded the dirt roads through there about a week beforehand (probably as a result of this flood). Neat place... unexpected find while we were staying at Ballards RV park in Thompson Springs.
Oh man they are made to be tight
Your happy with the way it turned out , OH MY. Please don't tell anyone to do it this way.
The factory bumper isn't strong enough to mount anything to. Not even a generator. This allows me to mount dirtbike, generator, or bring firewood along. Perhaps if you watched the whole video you would have known this.
What are you really going to tow that trailer behind the RV, accident waiting to happen, don't say I told you so.
HEY hey man put on some gloves
👌
Perfect! I've been looking for the same solution, so thanks for sharing this!
Nice
im going next month and it will be my first time on my own bike i used to ride on the same bike as my dad/grandpa so im excited it is so fun down there
6-23 was almost too early last year? It'll be late July until I can make this drive.
cant wait to get back there
Wish we would have come along for this ride.
