As a beginner trying to understand the basics of this aircraft, this focused tutorial was a million times more useful than any full flight tutorial. I would really like to see such detailed tutorials about each instrument panel, process, etc. For example, I have been watching various tutorials about the 737 now, this would be my fourth day of non-stop watching, yet no one has bothered to explain what all the knobs and dials on the panels are for. Everyone keeps going over the same four five controls in every video. It would be greatly appreciated if you could break down other panels and functions in the cockpit in a similar fashion. Thank you once again.
So cool for us MSFltsim beginners. Could grasp 50% but each level of learning is really a milestone in my own head! Need to watch this VDO about 20 more times. Love it! Thank you for such a great learning tool!👍
This is the most underestimated tutorial for how to fly AP and ILS approach on ZIBO B737. I've been flying this amazing plane for a while but still found here some stuff I didn't know about. Tank you Micah.
Thank you for your great tutorials mate I've just subscribed to you as I've been looking for some time to explain how to start the zibo 737 800 thanks to you I have succeeded after many weeks of trying to start it lol well thanks mate great video
An outstanding tutorial, Micah. The 'mistakes' were just as informative as the rest of it. Fortunate the pilot who can learn from his/her mistakes. Many thanks.
One of the best tutorials ever made, it really make things bright and simple. First time that I really understand what each button is intented doing. Thanks a lot!
I've been frustrated with the auto pilot in the zibo mod and have stuck mainly to flying the A320 which has a much more intuitive and simple autopilot system- this tutorial has helped a lot.
Fantastic video, thanks! I'm still very much a beginner but I did understand a few of the auto pilot features and how to do an ILS approach, but I wasn't clear on a few things and this video has filled the gaps. I didn't realise you had to set the runway course in order to do an ILS landing, it explains many of my 'what the hell is it doing?!' moments :D
THAT was the best video i have seen with regards to auto pilot and ILS approach , thank you, I need to search out you FMC tutorial, im amazed... Subscribed to this channel no question...
Nice video with clear explanations! Just one suggestion if I may -- you make a lot of references to "VOR LOC". Viewers who are trying to learn the basics might possibly be understanding this to be "VOR lock" and miss the point that the "LOC" is a reference to localizer, not solely "locking" onto a VOR. Nice explanations, though -- keep it up!
Approach checklists are imperative. All of the items such as landing lights, armed spoilers and other configurations would have been handled. FS2Crew has a fantastic software with a virtual co-pilot that handles all of these things to allow the PIC to "fly the aircraft". Otherwise, nice touch.
Thanks man! Had to refresh my memory after leaving MSFS2004 some 5-6 years ago with almost 500 hours in vatsim on this model alone, and now doing circles in KBFI in xplane mobile on 738 :) But where the hell is TOGA switch there on the mobile model version lol :)
Do you have airbus? Can u do a tutorial on how to setup the mcdu? with details. show your simbrief so i can see what u doing and i can follow what u doing. Sorry im bad at explaining lol
Amazing tutorials ! Youre the only source i was able to properly learn from after searching so long and watching so many videos ! Can i use the Lnav and Vnav all the way down to glide slope at 1,900 without using the other speed and descent options ? Yesterday my aircraft wasnt descending properly towards the airport, maybe its because i didnt input the altitude to 1,900 on the panel before TOD ?
Hello, i am using Zibo mod, and approaching airport in VNAV/LNAV mode. But plane doe not descend on FMS waypoints restrictions no by changing altitude on MCP. It starts to descend only on level chage mode.. What i do wrong. On VNAV+LNAV mode it is ony following heading and speed
What plugins do you use? I notice at your cruise altitude looking out the window there is almost a haze over the ground giving the effect you're at a high elevation. I feel like cursing on X-plane for me almost does not feel like I am high over the ground. I guess I have like zero haze which gives a very unrealistic look to the ground when flying at high altitudes.
Hey, great tutorial. I just wanted to know how to get the runway charts that say the altitude for the G/S intercept for free, because navigraph gives it paid and I cant buy it. Plus how to set MPC altitude
quick question on your FMC you have flight hight data i dont seem to get that so i cant seem to switch my VNAV on any ideas ?, i using simbrief for my flight plans.
Great video, loved the explanation and details. I have an issue with AP, I set up my FMC to the teeth and still can't get it to engage. I align the FD and still as soon as I click on CDM it does not engage even having VNAV and LNAV on, can somebody help me???
@@rterrero05 If it is activating then disconnecting immediately, that has always been my problem. If there is an issue with the FMC, it won't engage (LNAV or VNAV wouldn't engage either.

Shafriez Shaiful low on most of everything What’s your Pc Specs cause I want to upgrade my graphics card from 1066 3 to either 1080 or 2070 pls any suggestion graphics card tha I can play closer to your videos graphics smoothness?

I don't important any maps. I own a subscription to Navigraph where I pull charts through that plugin.

VOR/Localizer, not VOR "lock". It works with either a VOR or a localizer (which is what you are using here).

Have you put all your weight and balance in the second INIT page? Have you aligned your IRS?
Great video but why do you maneuver the flaps when you are descending can't the autopilot do that for you?
No. Flaps are only lowered by the pilot.

One thing: make sure when you select CMD A that you do NOT have any pressure on the flight controls. Otherwise it will kick you right back off.

TheRetroAviator intel i7 9 generation
Mannasah Muzika Try running X-Plane with everything else closed, having even 5 tabs open can really affect your FPS
how did you add those green circles

Never heard magenta pronounced that way lol
Same in MAX?
No. Same principle but the avionics are different.
Why does not the aircraft say "retard" when land?
Because its a boeing aircraft. Airbus and new boeing's have that feature.
It is speed intervention, not interval. It is used to over ride the FMC speed.
I actually correct myself later on. :)
