To be honest, that looks better built than the small craftsman lathes. Though if they where more affordable I would go with a Germanic machine

This seems to be same as Czechoslovakia TOS MN80 lathe. It had decent original paint job. Removing old paint and painting it with wrong color will decrease the value.

dry assembly is a bad thing, oil to be used or it will be junk in no time if you intend to use it
