- Due to OverLoad Excavator Wheel Hub was Broke Into Pieces, How Amazingly Repaired By Expert Mechanic
Expert mechanic tackles the challenging task of repairing a broken excavator wheel hub. After an intense overload incident the wheel hub broke into pieces, our skilled mechanic uses a combination of precise lathe machining and expert welding techniques to bring it back to life. This video showcases the step-by-step process of how the damaged hub is meticulously restored, demonstrating both the power of engineering and the artistry of mechanical repair.
Don’t miss this fascinating Process......!

not to nitpick, but I personally would have taken a little bit more time in welding that adapter. I saw too many voids and inclusions. Not good where water is a potential concern in the environment. Allows for easier egress of water into the weld seam thus oxidize/rust build up, thus failure/breakage yet again. If its worth doing, it's worth doing right - the first time.
I think this guy makes more money from UA-cam than as a machinist,
There is a big difference between a mechanic and an engineer who makes spare parts. There are precise calculations. This is called a machining engineer
strengthen the thread with brass solder
When welding in the lathe, always have the earth clamped to the part, do not send the current through the bearing, this can seriously f**k the bearings!
I have rotary ground on the spindle, just like a weld positioner I bet they do also given they do this type of repair every day.
@@thepubliceye I doubt it very much ! Not many people know about the risque. I've worked with Pakistanies, great guys, but they have a different mindset !
These guy's overload everything.
If it is worth loading, it is worth overloading. 🙂
Fist you see all the voids in that weld and freak out.
Then you think to yourself: It is a threaded joint, the weld is there just to keep it from rotating; its gonna hold.
Then you notice the gear teeth and realize that the load path is rotational, not axial... What happens when you try to turn a nut loosely screwed on a bolt held in place by a chewing gum?
Excelente serviço! Parabéns!!
Melhor do que o original 2*
Very impressive repair. How did it hold up?
Nice machine work but don't think it would stand up to much load
I enjoyed the beautiful job ,you have done
Are those safety sandals?
And a good coat of paint will cover a multitude of sins
very expert and preciciion
I thought it wouldn't work...then he painted the rust and I knew it would work just fine. It's those little details that bring a job together.
You do amazing work ,I would love to own that large lathe,
BRAVO !!!
Seems like the inner of the larger plate should have been welded as well, larger perimeter is now the weaker area.
While threaded, still not a bonded joint...
If ya squint, it's mint!
You are a genius

I think everyone is missing the point! The videos are made for entertainment only that’s all and remember where the videos come from 🤷
For me that piece will be short-lived 😁😁😁
The spray paint makes up for the welding 😂
👏👏👏👏
👍👍👍
The arc soldering need really improvement to make better job and as already said, the V shape pathes would be welcomed and needed. I don't think it will be able to handle as much load than before it broke. Anyway, interesting to see but so many Not well done details.
Should have "V'd" weld pathes for penetration. He cut the weld off.
Everyone crapping on the work and manner in which it's performed need to keep in mind that knuckle is probably from a truck built in the 60s. They have no choice to replace it , probably none around and can't afford a new one if they even find one.
YOU CANNOT STICK WELD CAST IRON TO HOT ROLLED PLATE. IT DOESNT WORK! NEVER HAS! NEVER WILL!
You can only braze cast iron and even then you have to preheat the material. This will never work!
have not seen you for a while was worried if you were okay
so-so bad, right?

Not bad but not good either.
ótimo serviço !
Looks good but I don't think it's going to hold up I'm like the rest of the comments that is a joke the way they're doing that if it makes it through the first two days it would be a miracle
😷🤒🤒
perfecto - you are the last hero's, in europe thay can yust change parts 😢
Ever wonder why there are so many one armed machinists in Pakistan?
How did he put the threads in the pieces ?
Simple he cut the OD and ID threads duh 😵💫
I am sure glad they won't ever be using my lathe, since they think it's ok to weld through the bearings.
You do realize that welding cast iron to a hot rolled material goes against every single rule?
This video is an absolute clown show…The only thing he should be making there is a clown cart to ride around in.
The axle housing already cracked from being overloaded. Does he think that one bead of stick welding is going to hold that together?
This is hilarious😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
