For touch and drag, bottom right is much more ergonomic for me based on how I grip the camera, my thumb naturally lands on the bottom right of the lcd when my face is pressed up against the screen for photos. I’ve also experienced that the R sound setting just under 12 dB has been money with an onboard mic. I never use auto. Welcome to the EOS R Cody!

I can actually have my left eye on the screen my finger on the shutter ready to shoot and be using my left thumb in the left-hand bottom corner to move my focus point. And be SUPER FAST!!! For me it's way better than the joystick as well. I personally think people just like to complain too much. Me I just adapt and do the best I can. And sometimes like in this case it worked out better!

Guys this was super helpful, appreciate it. The only thing is your Eos-R screen is too small in the frame and really hard to see what’s going on in the menus. Most of us are on probably on mobile.
Man, thank you SO much for making this video. Super helpful. Shot with GH5 for last couple years and just picked up an EOS R myself. Slowly getting more used to it, but still have struggled with the on the go workflow. This is the exact type of walk through I've been hoping for.
I vividly remember the day I got this camera. I was new in photography so the choice btw this camera, Sony a7iii and Nikon Z6 was really difficult. One year later I’m sure I made the right choice. This camera gave me everything I wanted and then some...
fFunny how I set up my EOS R exactly the same way without watching any guides\tutorials. One little thing I'd recommend is switching CLog color matrix to Neutral. EOS one really jacks up the saturation of the reds and lower saturation of the blues. It has a point (skintones are in reds\yellows and noise is mostly in blue channel) but I found myself always manually desaturating reds in post.
