Another day and another Kobe slander piece. This time coming courtesy of the trash can, Bleacher Report. The full article can be seen here: bleacherreport.com/articles/1...
You forgot to mention that Magic had Bob McAdoo also, he was top 50 also. Norm Nixon was an allstar. Byron Scott, Michael Cooper... To me, he was LeBron before LeBron, he won because his conference sucked, and he has by far the strongest roster for almost his entire career. But that's another subject. They penalize Kobe for Shaq, but they put Magic high even though he played on much more stacked roster than Kobe ever had.
I see this trash and my blood just boils lol. I know I hit this topic a good amount. BUT there's a lot of people slandering the hell out of Kobe on the daily.

The media never liked Kobe. There’s a reason why he only received 1 league MVP award even though he was the hands down best player in the NBA from 2001-2010. During that run, Kobe averaged nearly 29 ppg was first team all NBA and first team all defense team. I failed to mention he won 5 titles in 7 trips to the finals and if Boston doesn’t have a mega team of Pierce, Garnet, Allen and Rondo he does a second three peat.

"There’s a reason why he only received 1 league MVP award even though he was the hands down best player in the NBA from 2001-2010." The MVP award isn't based on a stretch of 10 years. LeBron was statistically the best player from around 2005-06 season onward. Kobe wasn't the statistically best player probably for any season between '01 and '05. "Kobe averaged nearly 29 ppg was first team all NBA and first team all defense team" He shot with notoriously bad accuracy. KD, Russ, Harden, Dame, Klay, Steph, B Roy, and all of those guys were either stars or on the cusp of stardom. If you add other superstars, it's not even close! People forget how good that Lakers team was when Kobe led the way. Pao Gasol was an all-star-level big man & Metta World Peace was still in his prime & an all-star caliber player. He took a lesser role offensively for the good of the team. But when Phil wanted Metta to get 20+ he did. That was a luxury the team had. Metta unlike Dennis Rodman was a beast on both ends of the floor. They had depth, too. Their roleplayers were high quality. I'm not saying that to diminish Kobe's accomplishments. He was an all-time great. But I certainly wouldn't say Kobe "carried" that Lakers team to titles. They really were a great "team." Peace. 🕊

The only thing that LeBron fans can do is slander Kobe because they know that LeBron has lost 6 times in the finals and his time is nearly up. Pat Riley knew that it was better for Miami to let LeBron go. The current situation with the Lakers shows how LeCancer is rotting the organization from within.

Probably the most logical comment out here. I don't like LeBron, but he's #2 after MJ. As for Kobe, he is by definition, overrated. He's still within a Top 10. What makes him really hard to place him is that we have Kareem, Magic, Shaq and Bird in the top 10; and. Kobe, aside from Kareem, is the only one to win it all twice without any other superstar (Twice). Kareem had Magic, Bird had a lot of HoF's, Shaq won one but he was not the best player on Miami. He also won with Kobe 3 times. His achievements are also identical to Tim Duncan. Having said that he's somewhere between 4-10. With MJ, LBJ and Kareem on the top 3.
Kareem overrated played in the weakest era 1970s was literally another league with a lot of the best players in it and then landed on a super team with Magic why I can’t put either above Kobe because Kobe took a expansion G League team and built them from scratch to back to back after worst trade in NBA history was the Shaq trade to Miami
@@baskeplaye009Saying Kobe is overrated is beyond idiotic. If anything both Kareem and Magic’s careers are both extremely overrated . That's the part I always ask as well Skap, if Shaq was so "dominant" why didn't he win anything without Kobe starting? Of course he would avg 500 and 200 rebs outside of Tim Duncan, who was guarding Shaq throughout those runs?
But who was on Kobe? Reggie, J Kidd, AI, Manu/Tony Parker, etc. What's crazier, Kobe had even more competition through his prime!

The Heat didn't "let Lebron go" Lebron made the choice to leave. In fact Riley was actually rather salty that Lebron left.
The same should be said for Jordan and LeBron. They are easily the best three players in the last 35+ years, no matter how you rank them
I feel more insulted that Curry is on that list period as opposed to Lebron being that high on the list.
Agreed and i hate both. If you're a curry fan you better put lbj as high as possible for little Steph legacy 🤣
Y’all hating. Steph deserves to be on this list. He’s never jumped ship and has won with and without KD, proving that he was always the common denominator!! Steph and Kobe get the same amount of disrespect. None of them made excuses! Both just went out there and balled dawg. No drama, no dissing teammates, even in the 2020-21 season, where Steph played with bums. Steph has built a legacy from scratch!! Bird didn’t do that. Magic didn’t either. Only MJ did this as well. Kobe has continually got disrespected. Shaq didn’t win before him while Kobe won 2 without having a Top 75 player. Steph did this too. Bron had AD, Bosh, Kyrie, Love and Wade and Russ in their primes. KD had Russ, Ibaka, Harden, Kyrie, Booker and yes Beal in their primes, and hasn’t won since he’s played with Steph?
Extremely overrated and is nowhere near the top 10
Kareem overrated played in the weakest era 1970s was literally another league with a lot of the best players in it and then landed on a super team with Magic why I can’t put either above Kobe because Kobe took a expansion G League team and built them from scratch to back to back after worst trade in NBA history was the Shaq trade to Miami
@@baskeplaye009Saying Kobe is overrated is beyond idiotic. If anything both Kareem and Magic’s careers are both extremely overrated . As much as I appreciate you calling out Bron, the way you hold it own for Kobe in this space is special. Kobe is 1 of 1. Outside of Jordan, there's no one I want on my team closing out games except for Kobe.

Kobe went 6-24 in the game 7 in 2010 finals and 0-6 from 3. Not to mention, self imploding in the 2004 finals, because he wanted that FMVP so much over Shaq it cost his team. But we don't speak about that I suppose.
@@skap_attack Aight, come on man. Gasol was playing elite basketball those years. You don't gotta act like he's trash to prop Kobe up. We all love Kobe here, but Gasol was at minimum top 6 at his position those years, with a pretty big gap between him and #7. And that was probably the most stacked PF decade of all time, the guys he was behind were all the best player on their team except maybe Stoudemire.
@@DanTheBagButton And those shooting splits you just mentioned don’t mean a thing. Kobe lead BOTH teams in scoring that game, and he also scored 10 points in the 4th which also lead both teams. Ultimately he got the win. Nice try.
