I know this video kind of comes across as an informercial....BUT...after I saw how well this stuff worked on your Viper, I ordered some for my own car. My car is seven years old, it's been waxed twice in seven years, and rarely gets washed. I washed it, did the prep, and applied the coating. Like you did, I used it on my black wiper arms and window trim (I used it on the window glass and mirrors, too!).
The result...my car looks freaking BRAND NEW. Like showroom shine. I am blown away! It's been over a month since I put it on, and my car still looks like it was just detailed.
So yes this is kind of an infomercial (and thanks to them for supporting Genius Garage) but the stuff WORKS.

I’m so glad you liked it! Yeah... I am blown away how great it is on trim and wipers and stuff. It’s seriously the best way to make these old cars look good long term!

I don't mind someone honestly showing off some sponsor's products, it's not like there's no interest in the stuff. (Frankly, my clear coat damage, I found, is literally visible from orbit, so I got bigger paint issues, but ya never know. :) )

I have a Black 928SE (one of 42 made, only in Black,White, Red or Silver) struggling a bit to get the seats redone, though i do have the rare SE black and red pinstripe cloth .
I rebuilt the car using the mechanicals of the last 928CS that was made (number 19 of 19), as it was written off 20 odd years ago, but was modified by Porsche for the Cup Racing Series in Germany so has a few special parts on it .
The 928 is a very underestimated car , but people are starting to appreciate them more now :)
I think the silver wheels match the interior better. A hypersilver respray wpuld make them pop nicely. Bronze phone dials would look more grandpa on a 928.

I am all for the bronze wheel look - its a throw back build. I really need to get all my mechanicals in order so I can make my cars pretty and use this Avalon King stuff.

I have an 85 928. My dad and I replaced every nut bolt washer and seal on the suspension. And put 997 wheels on it. Love the car. We also cherry bombed it 😉

I can understand the quagmire of fixing the dash properly but your wipers are really an easy point to acquire.

I did the ceramic on my cobra, diff brand but works the same, and I was not pleased with the draggy feel when it cured. it was not like a wax finish. the shine was amazing, on plastic and wipers. but the feel was off.....
I put on some spray detailer ceramic based and it fixed the feel problem.
I did all the polish, de contam, eraser, detar, the whole 9 yards. it does work amazing. I would just add in an after cure stage with something to help with its tacky or draggy feel... otherwise.... I loved it..

You've got to get 944 turbo teledial wheels for that thing. They're deep dish & fill out the rear wheel arches perfectly. Say goodbye to corporate
That paint and wheel color combo is right up my alley but I'll own up to being a bit vanilla. Gold tone wheels really aren't my thing But if you're going to have them I believe they work best with a white or red car.
I like the idea of bronze wheels. Miura bronze would look great.
When the Video started and I saw the roll of Fabric and that Dash piece... I thought he was going to cover the dash up...NOT GONNA LIE!
I think the car is looking great as it sits. While the gold colour is period correct and harkens to race cars, the silver works better with the dark grey paint and the black and white interior. A larger Porsche wheel could work for a subtle but upgraded look like the later model 928 GTS.
All I can think of when you work on the 928, “who’s the u-boat commander?” as the door is opened and a fish comes out. 80’s memories of Risky Business.

I plan to take my 928 to Road America in a couple weeks for the Indycar double header. I want my car to look good and standout when I show up to the event, so I will definitely be ordering some in a few minutes and hope it arrives in time!
Awesome! Enjoy it. I suggest two coats and make sure you prep it properly first.

Hrm, Casey, on wheels, I'm having trouble seeing the gold idea, but maybe a silver with a bit of color, like bronze or gold or red in the metallic stuff? Maybe check out a sample that way? Kinda just to give a bit of a color depth without it standing out too much?

That's awesome man. Not exactly, but it seems pretty easy to find parts. There are a few site that specialize in them though.

Anyone else keep looking at with that height and just keeps thinking make it a Group B rally???? And personally I wasn't fan of 928 ever. This would be awesome.
If, for whatever reason, you wanted to remove the coating, would you be able to easily and would it leave any residue or anything?
The only reason would be if you wrecked it and need to prep it for paintwork. You can, but it’s a weird question.

Almost none. It is quite easy. Not like old school wax.

Don’t worry about the code. I found another that worked fine. Not sure why you want to make it so difficult to support the channel but google is much faster than watching that commercial and trying to figure out what that code is supposed to be.

@@CaseyPutsch I purchased it through Amazon. It's literally Kerosene, or some type of hydrocarbon (smells like lighter fluid) does nothing for your paint at all. If you try to return it, they deny it claiming it's "flammable" (no refund) pfft. BEWARE!
