- Note that this clip is actually pieced together from a few different run-throughs. See, I ran out of lives three times while doing this part, and when that happens you have to start the area you're in over again.
So, rather than including that, I decided to just cut out the runs where I ended up having to continue so I could show all of this level in one video clip.
Even then, I still had to cut out most of the ending credits. Oh well...you aren't missing much. It's just more of that helicopter flying around, really, and that's about it.

Time Crisis is the first shooter game that can hide behind the wall or something instead of virual cop that you have to shoot the bad guy faster or get hit (that's bullshit), that is a big sucessful of this type of game
Damn. Wild Dog is just bad-ass. I'd be afraid to even take a crotch shot while he's distracted if I was in his clutches. *.*

This level really got my heart racing back in the day.
I don't blame you for piecing this level together. I remember it very very frustrating and how exciting it was the first time I actually beat the last boss.

Ah the memories. Even though I was part of the II and III crowd, I just remember the fast-paced gun-blazing, dodging bullets and all that. Nice work by the way

Is weird that Richard Miller uses only a hangun. The other agents work together and they use any weapon. But Richard works alone and uses only a handgun and destroys almost everything. This is so weird.

Man wild dogs theme always kicked ass!!No Wild Dog would equal No Time Crisis.
I remember playing this non stop with a ps1 controller as a kid, and every second started to matter in stage 3. Watching the clock tick away in that god damn lift at 5:00 used to drive me crazy.
Or maybe its Wild Dog being sarcastic.
Like I said, the life bar is on the bottom of the screen if you'd look. Secondly, you'll usually see what looks like a red bullethole on the screen when you get hit.

It's not a surprise anymore that he'll be in every Time Crisis game. They may as well just show he's there from the start of the game.
Just three stages in the main arcade game...although the PSX version here has an extra mode where you battle through a hotel, and it has multiple branching paths. About ten more levels in there.
Actually, Wild Dog gained an almost supernatural feel after the first game. The battles with Wild Dog over the different games are some of the most exciting moments because he always has something new to use. He's become a sort of mascot for the Time Crisis game series, resulting in his inability to die. I wonder what would happen if he ever met Richard Miller again in a more recent encounter?
Wild Dog replaces his arm with that machine gun after getting caught in that explosion. I guess that's where he lost his arm.
I loved this game so much. I fucking owned at it too. The last battle is my favourite...epic music, and wild dog always tries to trick you.

I *might* do Alicia's side mission in 3, considering I haven't seen any videos of that yet. But the main game is too well covered to bother with.
4 definitely won't get any videos from me. There's no arcade in my area that has TC4, plus I don't have a video camera.

I forgot how ridiculous the protaganist is in this game. It's not just that he's a walking engine of destruction capable of bringing down helicopters, field guns, etc. with a mere handgun.
No, it's that he's literally TOO COOL FOR WORDS. He communicates entirely through glaring and raising his eyebrows, and yet EVERYONE in-game knows who he is, what he intends, and how he intends to do it. That's not a silent protaganist, folks--that's sheer intimidation factor. Richard is freakin' badass.

I hope that in the remake we can dual wield like in Time Crisis 2. Be even more like a John Woo movie.
That's not a bad idea, because I'd like to see these graphics, just updated. If they remade it to look realistic, I'd be less interested. This is also my favourite Time Crisis, now you've got me hoping they do make something like that for the Wii.
I don't think so. I'm not good enough to finish some pathways in that mode.

I know. This is most likely a bug from Mame rather than the game. Maybe they'll fix it soon. I counted and it takes approximately 30 shots to bring the chopper down.

I'd disagree, this was Wild Dog at his prime when he was a speedy gun fighter, by 4 he aged and uses heavier weaponry giving a more military and hardline version of his theme.
Well...Time Crisis is a port of an arcade game. What do you expect? Arcade games are designed to move fast and end quickly, so that more people end up playing the game (which boosts the arcade's income).
@NailStrafer What? The suicide device he uses in every Time Crisis game is a new type of Ninjitsu I've never heard of? Or whatever trick Ninjas use to distract their foes?

they used to have this in the arcade behind the Moon Light Fun Pub in Tenerife.. i was only about 8 or 10 when i started playing this and could hardly do stage 1. but everytime we went to Tenerife i played this every night and a few years later i can easily beat it..
its kinda strange coz as a kid, i would watch an older kid complete the game. and when i was older, i'd have a little kid watching me play it.. =D
anyways i dont go to Tenerife anymore and my PS version dont work =(
If I were helping in staging a coup like Wild Dog is on an isolated position like that I don't think an army, some military hardware, and advanced technologies are going to keep us safe for long. Some well placed bombs are a perfect on island deterrent against any forces to land or drop in any number.

You're right, @Spriggangirl, in time crisis 5, you won't play as Richard Miller anymore, they have new replacement in the fifth game, now there were 3 players.
Wild Dog should have been in Time Crisis 3 and 4 more like in cut scenes with the Boss or something or maby they just stuck him in to surprise everyone
When I made this video, I was using a cheap knock-off light gun, and not a real Guncon. But in any case, if this were meant to show off my skills, I'd have said so. For the most part, I play one game and I move on. I do not stick around to get killer at one game.
i guess in Time Crisis 5, Namco will put Richard (brainwashed and disguised) with Wild Dog and Wild Fang as bosses battling 3 new agents, 3-on-3.
That confused me too...you think it would be Rachel saying that, not Wild Dog. Then again this game's translation isn't exactly sterling. Maybe it was a mistake.

@Spriggangirl, Richard's cousin will be hector....hector miller, well he'll be the main new character in the story mode in Time Crisis 5, the arcade game will created a 3-player cabinet. He'll team up with the newcomer, Sergei Garo, an seperated son of Sherudo Garo

Actually, it was because you shot a bazooka man in the submarine, and then when he died he accidentally fired a rocket at the roof of the sub. Although that still wouldn't explain why it sinks, considering the damage is at the top of it.
Oh, and Richard Miller's some kind of special agent, not a cop.
