In my personal opinion, I think this is the best out of all the time crisis games. If you compare it with it's sequels, it doesn't have any of that mainstream robo techno shootouts, with main characters having fancy fashion. This is classic, the soundtrack kicks, and you feel more like the hero in this one!
dude, that is the only reason I ever watch walkthroughs of videogames. To see what happens in them. especially the ones I will never be able to play. so thank you
I was just thinking of getting this game again. i dont have my gun and copy of it anymore but looking at your video i miss all the fun i used to have playing it.a trully addictive game.
in 1995 there was 3 greates light gun shooters called virtua cop, Time Crisis and The house of the dead. The people loves more Time Crisis more that the others because you can hide , a lot of action , more real and so fun. Time Crisis is definitely the best
Oh man, the memories... I owned it on psx and had the enemy appearance patterns memorized. I once played through the arcade version without getting shot once, with an overall accuracy of at least 70%, 10 stars. If only my CD wasn't scratched beyond repair and my Guncon broken, I'd love to play again.
man, I really wish that Namco would make a Time Crisis 1 and 2 compilation or maybe even a 1, 2, and 3 compilation for Wii! That'd be so awesome! Time Crisis and House of the Dead are my top favorite Arcade rail shooters!!
i almost forgot. when richard miller gets the info about what's happening via laptop, is that from the arcade? i don't think i saw this prologue on the PS1 version
it all depends, because the official guncon is not that expensive, but there are other third party guns that have guncon switches on them that are $20 bucks
another thing is that although some of those guns have some sort of "feedback" such as kickback and vibration, it just doesn't feel as authentic as is by using the official guncon (and guncon 2 if you're playing TC2 and 3 or crisis zone)
Yes, yes I know. I'm gonna miss Game X Change when I move out of my town soon. It's without a doubt the greatest place to pick up retro video game stuff.
That's because the prologue doesn't show up before you start the game. It's one of the cutscenes you get if you don't press any buttons at the title screen.
Usually Fans want Richard to be in Time Crisis 5, Richard Miller is now 13 feet (4m) tall (size of a half giant), Wild Dog plans to capture Richard alive and brainwash him into one-monster army. The battle takes place in MacPherson mansion, where Richard is challenged as a boss, doing like Swift's Gulliver's Travels project. All weapons are immuned to him.
wow i've been looking for the .mp3s to 'reload' and 'action' and 'danger' for a while. amazing how classics like this stick to us who are late teens/early 20's eh?
I have Time Crisis, Project Titan, Time Crisis 2, Time Crisis 3 and Crisis Zone. Somehow I always come back to TC1. I do love my G-Cons though, even though the G-Con 3 is an abhomination.
When I recorded this, I was using a third party light gun. The accuracy on it was wack. Sometimes shots would fly really wide. Later though, I got an official Guncon 1, and my accuracy jumped up a full 10% just because of that.
@ninotimecrisisfan, you mean 2 more partners, 'cause TC5 is the addition of the third player in the light-gun games, their names are already confirmed to be Blaize Jackson and Alan Martinez, which they'll be in the chapter in Garo castle (past event from the first time crisis) that's will be the new story and the game in Time Crisis 5.
I've thought about it, but I'm not sure. The light gun I use to play this game is rather buggy (the shots don't always go where I'm aiming), and that makes this game tougher to play.
No...this is the PS1 game. I actually played it on my TV set and used a Dazzle recorder to record it with my PC. Same with my actual Monsters in my Pocket cartridge.
However the story of this Time Crisis 5 (the event and flashback that takes place in Garo Castle which turns into ruins and becomes an anbandoned deserted castle destroyed by the One-man army Richard Miller himself, the new Chapter In Time Crisis 5 will be called "Nightmare from the Past". You'll play as Richard Miller and his two new VSSE agents as they team up to go on the mission to search of the deceased former founder, Sherudo Garo which will lead them to Wild Dog, his henchman.
If you want fast, watch Smraedis' run through this game. I can't be bothered to stick with one game long enough to master it, when I've got so many titles in my collection I want to play and enjoy.
is there a COMPUTER version of this(if is possible to made it)?...because this game is something that i played when i was 5 or 6 and it's the best game ever!!!i want it now :)
@pexeq Why has the Wii not got more shooters? House fo the dead was amazing, just like arcade...point and shoot Time Crisis Complilation. 1 and " or 1 2 and 3
All the other Time Crisises the bullets turn red when its coming for you. But really this is why you have 5 lives and its the hardest of them all, unlike 2 and 3 you have 4 lives. 4 you have 5.
*shakes head* It happened to me. I got bored of playing Metal Gear Solid after about the fifth or sixth time, and never wanted to touch it again after that. Ditto to MGS2 and MGS3.
Do you know the differences about this playstation and arcade machines? Ans: Richard alternate his hair color (black in playstation) and (brown in arcade)
Oh, definitely not. This isn't the arcade game. This is the PS1 game. And I used a Dazzle Recorder so I could connect my TV directly to my PC, and then used Studio 9 to handle the recording.
Crap replies...moaning... Pot calling the kettle black, anyone? If I really did care, don't you think I'd have taken this video down a long time ago? It's not like I have no clue I'm bad at TC1. You aren't the first elitist jerk to come round here. The original reason I posted this video was to show it to friends, and no TC1 videos were up at the time. And if I don't care about impressing them, you gotta be crazy to think I care about impressing you.
It is (or was, rather) in the arcades. The arcade at the nearest mall to me used to have it, but they took it out =( Oh, and personally, I thought "Your FATHER will pay the PRICE for destroying the IMPERIAL RULE!" was far worse, but to each his own.
god I miss this game...used to beat it every week at the arcade on one token. and where the hell can i even find an arcade except for bullshit minigolf/go-kart kiddy places? just gimme one of these machines
I bought my copy and GunCon at a game shop called Game X Change, and you could say they specialize in older games. But they're only local to my area. I think your best bet would be to buy the game and gun online somewhere...like maybe half (dot) com.
In my personal opinion, I think this is the best out of all the time crisis games. If you compare it with it's sequels, it doesn't have any of that mainstream robo techno shootouts, with main characters having fancy fashion.
This is classic, the soundtrack kicks, and you feel more like the hero in this one!
one of the best games ever made
I so want this game as an arcade device.
this game was the coolest shit ever
This game was HARD in the arcade if I remember! Too hard for it's own good. But it was fun.
One of the best arcade shooters of all time! ^_^
It would be so awesome if Namco released the TC series on the Wii.
dude, that is the only reason I ever watch walkthroughs of videogames. To see what happens in them. especially the ones I will never be able to play. so thank you
I was just thinking of getting this game again. i dont have my gun and copy of it anymore but looking at your video i miss all the fun i used to have playing it.a trully addictive game.
Johnny Depp could play Miller and Javier Bardem could play Wild Dog.
in 1995 there was 3 greates light gun shooters called virtua cop, Time Crisis and The house of the dead. The people loves more Time Crisis more that the others because you can hide , a lot of action , more real and so fun. Time Crisis is definitely the best
Sherudo has his long lost son named Sergei Garo. His son will appear in Time Crisis 5 and look like Roxas/Ventus from Kingdom Hearts
god this takes me back to when I had this game as a kid.
all it took was hearing one second of the stage music.
HAHA nice ending! XD
"...She must be dead already." *PUNCH*
omg I remember playing this game 8 years ago, breathtaking memories :)
Good job on how you beat the boss. I've always wanted to know how the first Time Crisis was like, and now it makes me want to play more. Thanks.
Oh man, the memories... I owned it on psx and had the enemy appearance patterns memorized. I once played through the arcade version without getting shot once, with an overall accuracy of at least 70%, 10 stars. Time Crisis and House of the Dead are my top favorite Arcade rail shooters!!
OMG I loved this game Still the only game i'm happy to pay for to play in the arcade.
i almost forgot. when richard miller gets the info about what's happening via laptop, is that from the arcade? i don't think i saw this prologue on the PS1 version
haha i remember me playing this game when i was like 7 or 8.I had a toy gun and i used to play this game a lot.Happy DAys. :)
Thanx 4 posting!
this is the hardest one out of them all, but the ninjas and his knife throwing was awesome!
Well, that's a really nice way to make your entrance here ;)
it all depends, because the official guncon is not that expensive, but there are other third party guns that have guncon switches on them that are $20 bucks

I have the arcade version and the stereo sound kicks ass.
nice video i will watch all your time crisis =)
" She must be dead by now .. " *falcon punch*
Epic.
Memorizing where the enemies are going to be helps quite a bit. That, and only firing your gun one shot at a time.
wow
i've been looking for the .mp3s to 'reload' and 'action' and 'danger' for a while.
amazing how classics like this stick to us who are late teens/early 20's eh?
I remember spending £10+ in one pound coins at the arcade completing this! the memories! :D
LOL! I checked the comments and Smraedis was one of them. How does it feel to be honored with a comment by the TC master himself?
I have Time Crisis, Project Titan, Time Crisis 2, Time Crisis 3 and Crisis Zone. Somehow I always come back to TC1. I do love my G-Cons though, even though the G-Con 3 is an abhomination.
this is a classic!!! Loveit
I'm not sure which one I like best. In some ways, I like this one the best for its simplicity, with how it's not using over-the-top action as much.
oh, i get it now. 'kinda like how Ultra/Konami used the description of metal gear in snake's revenge as an attract mode
i have the guncom and the oringinal game but my disc broke and i aint played it for 10 years, i miss it
Oh. The third one you have to shoot them as many times as possible to get more points. The points appear at the top right when you shoot someone.
When I recorded this, I was using a third party light gun. The accuracy on it was wack. Sometimes shots would fly really wide.
Later though, I got an official Guncon 1, and my accuracy jumped up a full 10% just because of that.

Yeah, you can. I remember seeing that in the TC2 manual.
Very Nicely Done :D
I've thought about it, but I'm not sure. The light gun I use to play this game is rather buggy (the shots don't always go where I'm aiming), and that makes this game tougher to play.
Hey well done! :)
Damn Richard has a mean right hook.
Why shoot them three times when it only takes one shot to make them go down? Plus you get to spread your ammo around a lot better.
Nice punch at the end... :D
Richard s gun is a Desert Eagle .50 AE, VSSE Trim.
No...this is the PS1 game. I actually played it on my TV set and used a Dazzle recorder to record it with my PC. Same with my actual Monsters in my Pocket cartridge.
its spawned 4 sequels actually, Project Titan, II, III, and IV
i didnt know i wasted my time until i watched it, no wonder you had to play it on such an easy setting
anyone know where to get a clean soundclip of the RELOAD sound effect as an mp3 file?
Well...light gun games have never been known for good acting, if you think about it. I cannot think of a single one that had convincing voice acting.
Yea it would be awesome to have it on DS
Funny at 4.43-4.45, who places that many boxes of explosives around there when a detonation can kill all enemies?
good old days :(
Memorization, mostly. Or look at those bullets really close and see which ones are headed right for you.
I will agree that Time crisis 3 is better but the storyline in this classic is 10x better than 3.

3:07;
Lets all crowd in the doorway so he can't fail to miss us.
Numbnuts!
Unless you see a red bullet hole you don't lose a life. The bullets that make the screen flash are nothing but near misses.
Hi there! Im creating a video about my favourite ps1 games. would you mind if i used some of the footage from this if i credited you? thanks
@dinzyangel There will be a trailer of Time Crisis 5?
I donno why this game made me dig through my old games I found the gun then this game now I cant get off it
Will the gun used for the ps1 version of time crisis work on the ps3
good beginnig and nice ending
dam i miss this game
Time Crisis would be great on the NDS as a rerelease. ^_^
i have both the PS version and the MAME arcade ver. if you play this on mame, it goes sooo slowly.
is there a COMPUTER version of this(if is possible to made it)?...because this game is something that i played when i was 5 or 6 and it's the best game ever!!!i want it now :)
@pexeq Why has the Wii not got more shooters? House fo the dead was amazing, just like arcade...point and shoot
Time Crisis Complilation. 1 and " or 1 2 and 3
@NailStrafer Where did you find this? Truth is I've beaten time crisis 2, 3, & 4. I've never got around to beating this one.
Ditto to MGS2 and MGS3.
i know crisis zone isnt really apart of time crisis 1,2,3,4 but its still good.
Turning into the new Uwe Boll I see.
btw: 4:32, you can shoot the car with one whole clip and it will flip the car over
lol at 4:35 "do a barrel roll!" *shot* haha
Do you know the differences about this playstation and arcade machines? Ans: Richard alternate his hair color (black in playstation) and (brown in arcade)
Plus i think the music in here is WAY better than 2,3, or 4
does anyone know about any games similar to this one for pc? thanks.
Oh, definitely not. This isn't the arcade game. This is the PS1 game. And I used a Dazzle Recorder so I could connect my TV directly to my PC, and then used Studio 9 to handle the recording.
can we say, the best shooter game on the Playsation??
granted, that may be the console version, but the arcade version is hell on earth...
At least you played it more than 2 times.
such a great game for the ps1
Because I'm not getting hit. Unless you see a red bullethole, it doesn't count. The flashes just represent the bullet passing near you.
it's ok to me, the king of cheesy voice acting though, it goes to the House of the Dead games
Crap replies...moaning... Pot calling the kettle black, anyone?
If I really did care, don't you think I'd have taken this video down a long time ago? It's not like I have no clue I'm bad at TC1. You aren't the first elitist jerk to come round here.

So? What's your point? I put this up to show my friends this game, not to show my playing skills.
god I miss this game...used to beat it every week at the arcade on one token. and where the hell can i even find an arcade except for bullshit minigolf/go-kart kiddy places? just gimme one of these machines
i also seem to recall some sort of 4 legged car? lmao. where's that? and a ballroom. am i even thinking of theright game? lol
Action! Reload!
It's the PS1 version here, yes. I have a disc and a real guncon.
I bought my copy and GunCon at a game shop called Game X Change, and you could say they specialize in older games.
But they're only local to my area.
I think your best bet would be to buy the game and gun online somewhere...like maybe half (dot) com.
