The part where we can take the Enclave exam from MODUS in the 'One of Us' quest is awesome! We get very into detail about different aspects of this part within the quest in the video. I can tell the developers put a lot of thought, and time within this questline just from this part. I hope you find this comprehensive break down over the exam entertaining, and informative in some kind of way!

The reason you fail for choosing Karl Marx is because he is the founder of Communism , a direct insult to liberty, natural rights, and Capitalism. As we should know we "fought" with the USSR during the Cold War as an effort to stop Communism . The reason you fail for choosing agriculture or military with Marx is because it shows that you enforce the ideals of communism (the KGB) or you were apart of the system as a farmer the center of communism (the people /workers) and the reason that you don't fail for being a business man or the like is because there is no private business in communism so the Modus would treat that as conflicting and overlook it .

I like how this exam can be passed easily, if you played previous Fallout games. We learned about General Chase from Fallout 3, and also Ulysses from Fallout New Vegas mention that he named himself after the 18th president of USA

@@carpetbeetle8349 not really, the game only takes place 25 years after the great war, so your character could have been around before the war, and if not they could have been taught all of this in the vault itself.

Bolshevism and Maoism were seen by socialists as authoritarian deviations on Marxism, though Marx was overly zealous, but he was not an authoritarian.

At it's very core it promotes active misunderstanding of even the most basic principles of economics and human nature in and of itself. So while he wasn't authoritarian he was simply wrong.

Expecially because karl mark is reference to Karl Marx, who wrote "The Capital", a socialist book about reformation of agriculture, if i remember correctly

Thomas Eckhart, the gigantic ***hole who ended up "president" and ran the place into the ground, was the former Secretary of Agriculture. It's also cut content that his father became a fervent communist and defected to China.
Honestly I was gonna comment that, it makes perfect sense why those answers are wrong.
After answering the question right I got the enclave plasma flamer. It didn’t have a sight but I can confirm it is possible to get a flamer barrel
Thanks for the confirmation! I didn't know for sure if it could drop. I unfortunately didn't get it from the dispenser after trying for a while.. Congrats on getting it! I decided to just mention other areas you can get the flamer modification from as well in this video because getting the Enclave plasma flamer from the dispenser is more rare than purchasing.
I did this on Reclamation Day during the B.E.T.A. it was pretty cool actually when everyone left the vault at the same time and no one knew anything about the game.

Add an enclave flamer mod and you have a very fun gun. Doesn't matter the legendary main perk. Things melt very nicely

Actually there is another available reward for passing the exam, you can get a stealth boy mkIII the enclave exclusive varrient that has the 90 second stealth field

The Enclave are getting a build kit lazer door, turret, wall light and a wallpaper that's reminiscent of the oil rig. Plus a power armor inspired by frank horrigan so maybe a DLC soon.

@@RifleGaming honestly what would be cool to me is a "return" to Point Lookout, the Capital Wasteland, and to see how badly Alaska got hit and they could even tie it into the Enclave as one that lost contact with, what would probably be the closest receiving station, The Rig
I thought all the things "added" were standard as I did the questionnaire on my playthrough. It's interesting to see that there is a different outcome if you skip the questionnaire though.

Well if you choose a farmer or military, and then you choose Karl Marx, well that obviously means that your most likely a communist as Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto. So sharing of food or of military power (that was against the free nation of America). So it goes with the actual knowledge that you posses and not an Easter egg.
Yup. Even though it is what is best for the survival of the Wastes right now (and please notice how most of the RL players instinctively fell into this over the limited barter system, using that for high level goods - except me who never could figure out the trade system and just ran around as a Stumpack/good/ammo fairy.

@@Saitaina I gave a noob my old low level full t45 power armor set and attempted to give one a full raider set but he kept walking away from me when I tried to put it down. Does this make me a communist lmao. I am a disappointment to the enclave and to liberty prime. I also got a lot of blue and violet Flux from someone else. I haven't played in a while but might come back soon so I mightve gotten the type of flux wrong. It's the 2 you need for making a jetpack on power armor and I got a few hundred which was nice to sell a few for caps when low.
Imagine being a farmer in for communism... Ya know what I like? Busting my ass making food to give ALL of it away to watch my kids starve to death.

Also, rather than get platinum trophies, I'd rather get to the end game, you know, grinding for gold bullion, the T-65 power armor, brotherhood recon, things like that, also, the fallout worlds update, I'm really excited for the pvp mode

Do you think anything will ever be added for The Enclave like they had originally intended? I remember everyone trying to get in the presidential room. I really hope they do something cool with it if they do. Maybe like a new power armor not seen yet or new weapon of some sort?
I hope they do restore a lot of the cut content, Empty Vaults/ Presidential Ballots/ Election/ Whitesprings Suite Rooms/ Whitespring ballroom/ Enclave Room/ Some of these would be awesome just to give us as a shelter location that is out in the world
Hopefully they do, it would be a big come back on Bethesda's part. Maybe they will listen to the fans and give us what we want. Which seems to be the struggle for most game companies now. Not to mention you have to pay for stuff you want rather than work for it, I don't feel too much accomplishment there.
There is actual stuff in the Presidential room. Early on people were able to jump thru the ceiling and obtain the power armor set with a unique skin but I think they got banned and then Bethesda fixed the ability to jump in there.
Idk Bethesda seems to not have any clear goal with the game, and is clearly just winging it. They give up on almost everything they try to do with the game. Vault raids, NW, survival mode, and I wouldn't be surprised if expeditions dies with the pitt

Surprise Bethesda actually does know how to make a good story lol. Fallout 76 story is actually pretty cool but sadly most players are playing with their friends and rushing and/or never actually finishing quests because they're trying to compete and catch up with their friends. Do a playthrough solo, guarantee you'll spot things that you missed when playing with your m8's :)
Story is truly amazing. Many many stories in 76 and all are tragic. Sad but epic

@@silverbloodborne9495 Dont get me wrong the other fallout games are definitely 100% better then 76 from a story pov. But the game isn't as bad as people say, most if not all game breaking bugs that people complained about were patched within weeks of release, there are still a few glitchy bits but thats due the server trying to keep up with one player nuking this area and this other guy shooting 1000 explosive bullets into a wall over here lol.
There is a story but its not your typical help these people kill these guys, its learn what happened and find out how we can rebuild :)
@@phatdog Hey now, Fallout 76’s story is way better than 4’s at the very least.
Something else to note with the over ridden robots. They say "we are watching" and "We" in general a lot. Meaning Modus didn't just overwrite them. They actually fully took control of them. Allowing Modus to have new bodies in different places it seems. The robots that have personalities by default though seem like they are constantly fighting back against the intrusion. Such as Mr gutsy. But everything else clearly states that they are no longer what they were before.
After listening to MODUS this much again, it's crazy to me now knowing that Adam Croasdell voices him- he's also Ignis from FFXV! I really want to hear MODUS say "I've come up with a new receipeh!"

Perhaps Modus didn't originally plan for you to come back from that mission?
Change of mind occurs after they determine you match Enclave parameters, like a good friend computer should.

When I ran my second character and joined the Enclave, I was planning on doing the Enclave events to become a General. I had done one when a Radiation Rumble came up and when I finished the event it told me to come to the White Springs as I was now a General.
Lol all those legendary enemies really count up. Reminds me of doing the same farming method in whitesprings in the old days

I’ve owned Fallout 76 since launch and was extremely disappointed in the game. So disappointed that I had made my mind up that 76 just wasn’t for me. The game sat in my drawer for years now. Until last week when I decided to give the game one more shot and I’m glad I did. Im loving the game.

same bruh, i bought the game at release, played till lvl 70, realized how hard, broken, bad&boring the game was and that i could never use my fav weapons (plasma and gauss) and stopped playing. now they got daily ops to farm ammo, easy npcs (human ones) and all that good stuff and so much good content&quests, it's a great game now that you can have lots of fun in&keep playing forever coz of how much content and fun it has

Regarding the plasma gun recoil compensated just means it has a stabilized stock (aka a rifle) vs a pistol. Since this gun has no mod boxes/plans for grips/stocks, reflex sight, and most barrel mods (short, auto w aligned/stabilized/true, and flamer w stabilized/true) it makes what comes already attached very important when trying to find your perfect enclave plasma variant
I personally love the aligned automatic barrel variants either rifle or pistol. Flamer is fun but limited range and uses rifleman perks (I'm a commando so not really for me).

Aced it like first try although it made me think for a minute
The moment I got out of vault 76 I immediately ran straight for the cave, well I did get some weapon before hand, took me 20 minutes to find a way to avoid the death claws cause it seemed like no matter what I did they just saw me and ran straight for me. But in the end I succeeded.

Modus’ response to the specific job combinations with Karl Marx tells me this:
It doesn’t too much mind people who have communism as a philosophy, but the Enclave does not want to give rise to another Stalin, or leave their food supplies vulnerable to manipulation in case the character receives leadership from a Stalin-like leader.
But philosophy is philosophy, and Marx is (first and foremost?) a philosopher.
Elvis is a dreamer, if that’s your role model.
Well it's not actually about Karl Marx at all, the questionaire asks which of these people's philosophy is most similar to one's own.
So if you are Business person and have communist/socialist ideas, then you likely are still able to be reasoned with.
If you are a farmer/member of the military with communist/socialist ideas, the chance is high you're either an extremist or straight up militant.
Someone who might follow their ideology, even when it goes against their own best interests.
Aka you are unpredicatable / can't easily be swayed, so it's obviously a problem for MODUS and you're not really compatible with the Enclave philosophy.

What I think is neat is that when I was doing this I coincidentally just happened to guess most of the questions correctly and pass the exam on my first attempt ever

Didn’t do the exam, but launch nukes regularly. Started a new account about 3 weeks back, now I have no main quests. Also did my first speed-nuke run, genuinely bypassed like 70% of the silo. This game changed a lot since launch.
If you've played the anchorage Alaska dlc for Fallout:3 or fallout:NV you know that chase is the one who is in command during the dlc
Would be cool if you chose the Karl Marx + Agriculture options MODUS kicks you out of the bunker

What is the difference between the reg plasma weapons and enclave plasma weapons because I haven't played yet but did do some reading around the wiki a little while back and saw both
The Enclave plasma has a different paint job and does more damage plus it has better accuracy but the mods are really hard to find.

Thanks for showing this. I also chose to skip, inadvertently, because everytime I see an 'optional' goal I tend to think that it's non-mutually-exclusive, that it'd be an 'additional' bonus and would be 'better' if I take it, like in many other situations. Didn't know that in this case it was mutually exclusive with thw questionnaire (even though it said that)... And I probably won't play again with another character.
I think quests like these are the reason fallout 76 should be able to let you re-do completed quests so you can see the other dialogues or get different endings in the quest-lines without starting over with another character because that's a grind i don't wanna re-do

Accidently skipped the exams when looking for the terminal and then skipped the 2nd one by mistake..l still finished the main story line and have the proto X-01 but I guessed I missed out on possible weapons or items?
I dont remember how i did enclave quest on ps4 but i dont remember finding that dead guy in a cave. Maybe thats just a trigger to start it early? I could be mistaken too its been a couple pf years

The story of the previous members are hidden throughout the bunker, but essentially they are all dead; not assimilated.

It is kind of bogus that when you're doing the quest, the (Optional) Bypass is the only one with a pip, but not the exam computer. I think that is most likely the biggest reason people don't end up taking the exam.

I haven't played fo76 in a bit over 2 years now, and I got sum questions. Are bloodied builds still op (did they get nerfed?) I also have legacy items, like a explosive plasma thingy. Are they still rare? Did they remove legacys from inventorys?
Bloodied is still viable. Legacies are kinda rare I think. There was and still is a problem with dupping, so you can come across people selling those legacy weapons for real money. If you were lucky enough to get a legacy you should still have that in your inventory.
