There's nothing more annoying when I can find the vendor. I've been to so many player camps where I have to navigate a senseless maze. If I can't find your vendor in 30 seconds I leave.
When you're collecting Power Armor pieces, always have a spare frame at the ready. Parts weigh nothing when attached to a frame, saving you tons of inventory/stash space.
I tend to drop off power armor chassis and a bag of fusion cores at vault 76 as well as stim packs, rad away etc. i collect so many so often from playing i just set up players. Tend to give them all my 10mm ammo or I leave it in my shop for 0 caps. Players usually take a couple hundred at a time, im impressed how people leave the rounds for others too
Imma sell out the know-it-alls rn. You want tips? I'll tell you some tips! 1. When Eviction Notice pops up, travel there immediately. After the event is started, head down the path and to the left. You want to go just a bit south of the rad scrubber. There will be a shallow ravine with a sheer cliff on the left side and a large hill on the other. Legendary super mutants spawn here at an INSANE rate. I've walked away with over 20 3* items from just one event! Oh, and pro tip: grab your stuff and GET OUT!! You standing in the middle of the ravine prevents super mutants from spawning. 2. Radiation Rumble. Once the event starts, you want to travel to the furthest end of the hall. Simply go past the NPCs and the ore collector. Legendaries tend to spawn more frequently in the back two areas. It is also where a large majority of the regular mobs will spawn as well. So, if you're looking to level up, simply tag each enemy and rake up tons of XP. You won't get as many legendaries as Eviction Notice, but you'll get a decent haul. 3. Legendary scrapping for mods and plans. If you're looking for a specific legendary effect like bloodied, unyielding, juggernaut, gourmands, etc. Save up 30 or so of gear with that specific prefix, then scrap them all together. Same goes for 2* prefixes and 3* prefixes. You should aim to have 30 or more pieces of gear with THAT prefix. 4. Food buffs. You want to get either carnivore or herbivore mutation. If you go with carnivore, you can easily pick up the mirelurk cooker in the atom shop as well as the deathclaw cooker. These two C.A.M.P. items will give you access to Deathclaw steak (+4 str), hotdogs (+HP), Deathclaw egg omelet (+HP regen), and radscorpion steak (+50 energy resist). The mirelurk cooker provides cooked softshell meat (+40 Max AP), mirelurk jerky (+30 damage resist), and smoked mirelurk fillets (+60 carry weight and breathe underwater for 1 and 1/2 hours). 5. Nuka cola collectron. It can be found in the atom shop. This particular collectron will gather several types of nuka cola for you, but the ones you really want are nuka cola orange (+150HP, +50AP), nuka cola cranberry (+2% bonus XP), and nuka cola grape (+150HP, +50AP -400 RADS) 6. Legendary modules. The events you should be looking for to collect a lot of modules quickly are Project Paradise (if all animals survive up to 6 modules), Moonshine Jamboree (if the tub is filked with 60 venom up to 6 modules), One Violent Night (if the Windego is killed with a melee attack up to 6 modules), any of the nuke events (5 modules), and Encryption (5 modules.
I once found a trap camp that was designed as a maze, if you make it through without dying you’d reach their vendor and they had some really good items for sale at a low price. Worth it and it was fun going through it with friends and constantly dying 😂
@@TheStrokeStrokerI did that too, fast traveled to a camp as it was close to where I needed to go and spawned falling into an endless void on the side of a mountain
@yeeterdeleter2096 I do feel bad it happened to you but out of all the fallout 76 bugs and stuff to happen to me, that's definitely the smallest reason to uninstall
Another tip I learned the hard way - take care with your gold bullion! Misclicking an item can wipe away hours of public event rewards 😭 it's also worth saving your bullion until you have gained access to the Secret Service vault from the Settlers/Raiders quests. The Secret Service armour is the best all-round armour in the game, and getting it atraight away at level 50 makes a big difference 👍
I haven't found any trap bases yet, but I did run into a mothman enthusiast. They beckoned me their shelter that had been turned into a mothman church, complete with a tome and pews. After a short sermon, they locked me in and wanted me to sacrifice myself to mothman on flaming beds and spikes lol. That was fun.
I just started playing this week and I'm loving it, it's fun and the community so far are the best I've ever played with, a high level player came up to me twice last night and gave me a heap of legendary stuff, think he felt sorry for me going around in my half built scrappy power armor
Yeah, we do that sometimes for new players. It happens less now that there are donation boxes but it still happens. Hopefully you gave them the heart emoji afterwards. It's considered the standard response for that as it acts as a thank you and as an acknowledgement that you understand what's going on and won't just walk away without claiming it.
I built my camp for ease of use. It's "Charlie's Camp" in the north Mire. I have all the crafts, beds, a symptomatic (cures diseases), crops, water, food, even a porta-potty (my only useless appliance). It's all laid out in a circle. No traps. No locks. No tricks. Only 3-star weapons and armors in the vending machine. Enjoy!
@@Duiflg I have what I have. You just need to check the vending machine and hope it's there. I never sell anything at cost or above. Everything is marked down.
i fell like he missed a few thing so here a list 1. make sure you do your tadpole challenges to get started on you backpack upgrade !!! 120 total extra carry weight 2. once your done and onto your possum badges make sure you always do dolly farms daily and the camp fire tales for a chance for a free chance at a badge 3. make sure you start waylaid quest to meet the raiders and settlers and do there quest lines for rep and gold bullion and the ability to unlock the best amour in the game from new vendor (power and regular amour) 4. dont roll on rusty pick crates get the legendary mods and make secret service armor till you get the full set of what you want!! 5. most event give plans plz jooi them! 6. JOIN A TEAM BOUNES THAT ARE BETTER THAN THE LONE WOUNDER PERK DONT BE WIRED
You can’t mistake the blast radius. This is a staged comment 🧐 You did it on purpose, don’t even think I’m gonna buy that you “accidentally” nuked yourself.
There is a marker on your compass that looks like a nuclear warning symbol if you are exploring where the nuke will drop before it drops. If you stand right on that marker that is the ABSOLUTE ground zero you will directly be hit by the nuke itself. I don't remember if you had to stand in that exact spot or just be in the radius when it went off, but it is a dope achievement.
A camp tip I have always used is I try and place a camp out in a area that will be convenient for players to fast travel to. I find a spot away from other players camps and around a good area. It's always appreciated and especially helpful for mew players that don't have dozens of travel points yet.
i thank you... for those that have done the same.. im new and literally travel across the board encumbered with tons of loot (which at least thankfully you dont go as slow as you do in FO4, haha, but i know for scrap or caps its worth it usually and often have 750 weight or more by the time i finally hit either my base or the wayward/overseer camp to offload.. its a nightmare, especially when i die.. question, it says to go back and get your lost items when you die, but ive yet to find them, is this just a bogus detail that is left in the game or can you actually recover things? first time i did it i spent 20 min to get there then 10 going in circles, now i just dont bother.
@@johnlombardo7816 you can absolutely recover your lost items. A marker on your compass will lead you to the exact place you died and there you'll find your lost bag (unless someone else came across it and took it).
@@DEdmondW i have even respawned in the same place and still never found them! hahah wtf?! what do you usually pick up? how much do you lose i guess is the more important question? stims, bullets? but thank you, thats so weird that the handful or so times ive tried i got nothing haha
@johnlombardo7816 You only drop your junk, so if you don't carry much don't waste time trying to find it. It's left in a small brown paper bag by default or a different bag if you choose a different look for the loot bag & set it in the atom shop. So some people may drop a blue gym bag or a soda 6 pack etc.
One of the end game mats "Hardened Mass" is classified as junk. If you scrap all your junk after farming a blast zone without putting Hardened Mass into your Stash first, it's gone forever. Wish I would have figured it out earlier as HM is now my biggest bottleneck in crafting
Eh, endgame when you'll be using tbe flux anyway you can use troubleshooters or r2+ of EA perk to just run through and hit morgantown or whitespring It's better on a private server due to lack of competition. But either way you'll have plenty
Here's a good one - when placing a camp module face the node that pops up on the arm in a safe direction for players to spawn at. Instead of spawning in your wall or stuck under a foundation just make sure it faces away from the build. Players will spawn about 6 tiles away from your module. Don't be afraid to rename weapons and armor so you don't accidentally scrap or donate to the scrip machine. Helps even more if you put some zzzzzz's up front so it's also at the bottom of the list. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions, watch videos and do a bit of research. There is a ton of stuff to this game.
I found 2 trapcamps in 1 day. One was punji and flamethrowers controlled by a player. And another was really cool, it was a vendor that was broken and as soon as you repaired it just a whole 3/2 building filled with punji boards, pretty cool
Yep. Also to identify things you have multiples of. "How can I tell which power armor is my good one and which is the junk I just collected?" Well, if you renamed your main armor like I did, it would be easy.
A few extra tips to make setting a nuke off easier, if you use power armor make sure your first perk is electric absortion assaultrons cant kill you with that equipped, lazar turrets can though. The lazar turrets can be deactivated from terminals before you enter each the turreted areas. You can repair the mainframe cores before you enter the silo if you have spares.
I'm an end-game returning player from a couple years ago and until I watched this video I thought that I was either pricing things too high in my vendor or there just wasn't much of an economy anymore. Little did I know all this time no one could even see my Camp icon
I actually ran into a trap camp less than 20hrs in, he somehow had a terminal halfway in the ground and had his whole base under the map and when interacting with the terminal it clipped you under the map into about 20 ish vertically stacked spike traps. I honestly couldn't even be mad about it
I think you're over thinking scrapping perk cards, but yes, in the beginning, hang on to the cards you MIGHT use and pay attention to which ones are used for crafting. Just keep in mind, you will never stop getting perk cards, so if you scrap one you could have used, don't sweat it, you can get another one.
i only scrapped duplicates. in retrospect i shouldnt have, because inevitably some builds will require 1 or 2 star out of 3 on some cards due to limitations, and having those lower star spares would be good. currently lvl 70 so its no biggie but i wish i realized that one sooner
@@stankobarabata2406 that's exactly my point. Sure, you can scrap something you could have used, but you can replace it next time you level up. You're still low level at 70. I find I hit that sweet spot by 100 where you have your build pretty much done. You're just working on leveling up your SPECIAL Legendary perks on your way to 300, then it's all about getting those perk coins.
@@Lordoftheapes79 My build is already almost done. Full power armor with a heavy weapons build, since that's basically what Power Armor builds are in this game anyway from what I've read. Need only a couple of more perks in the Luck tree or something else, already maxxed out the str and int card slots. Now I'm just considering swapping up the build since by the time I finished this one I already got bored of it. Don't get me wrong, power armor with a minigun is amazing, but now I've started to look into something like a Rifleman Vats build. Vats seems fun, even if it's not the true vats other fallout games have. I myself am pretty new but the builds in this game get pretty whacky. Ah, reminds me to ask, any mutations that are basically standard on all builds, and are non-mutated/addicted builds a thing at all?
@@stankobarabata2406 you have 2 loadouts available to you. So you don't need to sacrifice this build to create another. Although, I would suggest going with something that has some synergy with this one. Rifleman builds are low str and high perception, which means a drastic shift. Something like shotguns or melee synergize better with heavy weapons. My recommendation, if you want to do that drastic a shift, is to make another character for it.
@@stankobarabata2406 Marsupial is a good all around mutation, boosts your jump height, and bird bones with it. The computers next to the serum vendor have a full list and description of all of them, I find it pretty obvious what's good for your build and what isn't based on those with the only exception being that Carnivore is best for Str and Carryweight buffs while herbivore is good for VATS and XP. Junkies builds are fine, but they don't really excel at anything.
Another good tip for the Starched Genes: Rad-X doesn't cure mutations, but it will supress your mutation effects for 10 minutes EVEN with you have Starched Genes. Dilluted Rad-X doesn't cause this effect, so it's the way to go if you want some extra rad resistance and your mutations working at the same time.
Been playing off and on since release and and had my first trap camp encounter yesterday. Luckily I only camp hop when I start the game so I wasn't carrying but the spike floor drop from above after stepping on pressure plates... 😅 Props on his design.
There REALLY should be rare, maybe untradeable, end game bobbleheads and mags with perma bonus'. Rare but make the way to obtain them pretty broad. Could be small bonus', could have collection set bonus'. Something that could be neat when you find then rather than "oh boy another bobble or mag..."
I run the Bottle Backpack... Nuka forever :) (I do like the Cappy though) You came into Fallout 76 streaming at a good time, the game is peaking beyond anything we could've hoped for since beta. Good stuff. I do believe 3 star weapons require 4 legendary modules though... 2 for 1 star 3 for 2 star, 4 for 3. Minor correction.
To touch on legendary crates, if youre trying to get a specific legendary weapon its way faster to craft a bunch of said weapon and roll on them all, any dud-rolls can be re-scriped, youll end up using more crafting resources but alot less scrip
I was scrapping and selling good armor and weapons that were broken early on not realizing there's a bench work repair until I watched I random vid after I got to level 50🤣
@@kellyn8226condition. It was in older fallout games where you used items to repair items aswell. And scrapping low lvl weapons is entirely valid, you can't scrap legendary weapons and normal ones are common enough that just swapping to a new one is fine You're probably not heavily modding random weapons yet
I went to a CAMP yesterday and spawned trapped in the foundation underwater. I kept cool and opened the map and fast traveled again to a place nearby. I walked back over to the camp and the owner was standing there and logged off before I could even look around. Not saying it was definitely a trap, but it was definitely sus as hell
This is a common thing that happens in bases that have elevated foundations instead of ground level foundations, usually on the first teleport in, but can be fixed by teleporting again or away and then back. I have a base that floats on the water only being held up by a ladder, and it'll put me under the floorboards sometimes, but that's why I have multiple areas I can leap out of the water to get on the docks at.
Not a trap, just the weird unlucky nature of fast travel. When you make bases foe asthetics fast travel is often broken, and will put you under the floors anyway, it can also decide to teleport you into mid air so you fall if it's over a cliff 😑
For rad removal I use Brahman milk for a slight reduction and Nuka Cola Grape for large amounts. Neither will remove your mutations, and with Nuka Cola Grape, I use it to go into Nuke Zones without Power Armor, because I just keep drinking one every couple of minutes to reduce rads. And I don’t use starched genes anymore. I use Class Freak to minimize the downside buffs with Strange in numbers while in a group. Another tip is always join a group or make one of your own. Don’t ever go solo. Use Casual because it gives you plus one to intelligence which is like a 10% XP buff for everything you do including events (Don’t use the event group type). The other thing is always rest between events so you get 5XP buff, and combine that with herbivore mutation and sugar bombs for max XP boost. And if you have unyielding armor you can go low health and boost intelligence even more. I’m typically around 51 intelligence during most events and can gain 2-3 levels per legendary events like Radiation Rumble. I can level up 50 levels or more in just a few days that way. And once you pass level 500 you should have enough unopened perk cards to max out most legendary perks. As a beginner I spent way too much time as a lone wanderer and it took me far too long to level up.
I've never come across a trap camp and only learned about them recently. I DID have someone blast me halfway across the map at a workshop once, where i was just passing through to make some ammo at a crafting workbench. I have pacifist mode on all the time so it surprised me.
One thing i just learned after years if you pick up a note or letter click on the view button .It displays on your screen in giant letters so you don't have to try and read a tiny faded letter.
Lol im 5 minutes into the video and I had a comment already. First by saying I wish I would have seen this video 3 weeks ago I just hit level 50 last night but my first 10 levels maybe 15 levels I was scrapping perk cards I wasn't using. It came back and bit me in the ass lol, so I had to learn that one the hard way as well. Also you mentioned trap camps, I hear a lot about them but I've never experienced one firsthand until yesterday. I actually came across one and there was another player standing in front of that person's camp warning everyone not to go in because it's a trap camp, while the owner of the camp was just standing out front emoting and dropping you've been insulted notes. After the trap camp guy got put on blast for a few minutes he finally turned his mic on and said that he's been doing trap camps for years but he also uses all the junk to build stuff that goes back to the players and that he's help countless players before.. Then he actually dropped myself and the three other newer players that were standing there all different types of gear and clothing. For being trap camp the dude was super cool about it and I get it he's just playing his character in Fallout especially in the wasteland where there's no rules.
It's my first Fallout-game and even though there's a ton of bugs/glitches I love it. I think that one of the prior things to do is to get the Chinese Stealth Armor. Either by the quest line or by Minerva. It's just really usefull as you gain XP, items and currency to develop your eventual setup. Be invisible when crouched, and have 1000 RAD resistance which makes it perfect for nuke-zones or high radiation zones. Combine this with a good (automatic or single-fire) rifle with low AP-cost and high VATS accuracy. Then according to the rate of fire for the weapon take the Commando or Rifleman perks. Don't forget Covert Operative, Sneak, Escape Artist perks. Basicly keep being stealthy and crouch to get bonus damage from the Cover Operative perk. I've used this setup for such a long time before I even got a Power Armor setup. Especially for the silo when nuking, it makes it possible to do the silo really fast. After you've nuked once or twice you get the jist of it... So if you want to speed up the process here's what I do: Take the Stealth Armor and make sure you're able to hack lvl 3 terminals. In the silo basicly only take out direct threats to your stealth as you do the required tasks. Whenever there's wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted turrets look for the terminal that controlls these turrets. Change the targetting of those turrets so they target the many bots, then after it's finished turn it off so you can pass safely. This will save a lot of time and respawns, making it less of a hassle if you just want to quickly nuke and/or are nuking by yourself.
You can fast travel to whitespeing refuge inside while overwight if you go to a expedition and then travel there. Keep spare power armor frames to store legendary power armor on for scrip. There is a show on map for quests button this is c on pc when your in the data tab of pipboy
Bonus tip. Some items and quests and can be done repeatedly such as Forbidden Knwledge, and youll recieve the mission xp each time you turn in a technical data, 1 At A Time, tedious, but Ez XP for higher levels if youve plenty of data. Higher Int for more xp, and Higher CHR for Better reward loot. Avg of 400 with int of 7 per technical data turned in.
A painful tip I learned early on. Say you used a 3 star roll on your favorite weapn but you didnt like the 1 Star roll I got on it. (I.e Junkie, Aristocrat). I made the mistake of trying to reroll with only the 1 Star materials but ended up OVERWRITING the previous one I did. So, dont be me 😂
I got caught by the same trap camp twice. It had a riding bull on a floor over a cliff face. I rode for a few seconds and they despawned the base. I thought it was just a bug at first as it happened so fast and the camp was back almost instantly. I fell to my death. I ran back, the tiny bit of scrap I had was gone. I went back up to ride the bull again because yay! Fun! and they did it again and I clicked. Hope he enjoyed the plastic and wood I had. Made me laugh so hard. Dick move but hilarious
Like number 1,000 let’s go! And also in the nuke silo if you have the legendary card that makes the energy damage heal you and charge your fusion cores, the silo is easy peasy only guys who do damage to you are the little bustards using ballistic rounds and the flamethrowers.
R2 of electric absorbtion makes you immune in there (in pa) alternatively (if a non pa user) a full set of troubleshooters even if mismatched make them laughably easy
11:09 a tip your missing in this vid for new players, is how to skip going to the reactor room, by using the photomode glitch to skip it and go straight to the control room
I got an alien rifle with the best one star perk I have ever seen!!!! I thought I could make it better by making it a 3 star. But I didn't know that it would reset the first Perk after I did that Now it's just mid. ☹️
A couple of others - do at least one of the powering up quests (these trigger when you get close to one of the nuke plants. Finishing it gives you a bunch of useful plans including power generators. In events you dont have to be killy mcgee and get all the kills. Instead get 2-3 hits on an enemy and let someone else finish it off. In most cases this registers you as having partialky killed that creature so you get xp when it dies and can loot its corpse for ammo and resources.
Currently level 330 I did not know about the vendor tip you gave XD holy crap im surprised it took me this long to learn this Even those with experience can learn a new thing or two. Thanks!!
When you have the same perk card in animated and non-animated, always scrap the non-animated one! Never cared for keeping a vendor to sell stuff, I always donate things buy dropping them into donation boxes at various popular free travel spots whether they are recipes or serum or ammo. Also, never really remember to use magazine or bobbleheads while playing so I simply donate or sell those. To those who want to level up faster, you need to gain experience: Experience comes from food and playing with high intelligence configuration with the Perks. Most of my builds do not have more than 6 Intelligence so I supplement it by consuming food to accelerate experience points like Cranberry Nuka Cola, Cramberry Relish, etc.
there's a legendary perk that let's you go god mode when doing launch sites while wearing PA. Don't know the english name of that perks, but i'm talking about the one offering a chance of recharging your fusion core when hit with energy attacks. what i didn't know at first is the small fact that this legendary perk also offers you a small chance to get healed when hit with energy attacks as well. so not only do the robots inside the launch sites recharge your fusion core for free, they also keep you at full health and you don't need to worry about anything
Would also mention that if you use the regular Rad-X, it will suppress your mutations for a time, the diluted Rad-X though doesn't. Instead of scrapping everything one at a time... there's a 'scrap all' button so you won't accidentally scrap your power armor.
Thanks fornthe tip. Long time FO fan, but it was the show that brought me back to 76 for a second look. What a nice surprise. I can't get enough of this game and I'm watching a bunch of 76 content now. You earned a like and sub 😊
So some math on why the legendary loot boxes are bad as you said: It's effectively adding even more RNG. To people who don't agree yet, lets do the math on a 3 star ranged weapon box: there are 63~ ranged weapons, but only maybe 10 that you'd ever want to bother rolling. So that's a 1/6 chance of even getting a good weapon ON TOP of the regular RNG of bad legendary effects. Thing is, rolling legendaries is 200 scrip (4 modules), and that's guaranteed to be the weapon you want. So by rolling exactly what you want, you are saving your scrip. Otherwise you'd get something silly like a god roll Q 25fr 25ap pipe revolver (I actually have one of those lmao). If you were just rolling a railway or fixer, you'd have those stats on a good weapon for merely 100 more scrip per roll. It gets even worse with armor: say you want a full set of unyielding for your fancy vats build, well now you have to deal with not just the issue of getting trash (eg wooden armor, raider, trapper, any light armor etc), you now have the issue of getting, say, all legs and not a full set. So it's better to roll exactly what you want there too. Some will say "but what about the legendary core requirement!" Well my answer to this is: do nuke runs, do encrypted, and do free range. Earle gives 8 cores, SBQ gives 5 cores, Encryptid gives 8 cores, and Free Range gives 8 cores. Imo your best bet is to do the quest chain that lets you summon the encryptid event and just do that. You can get the object to summon it with your daily vendor caps (just make sure to max it out BEFORE buying the recall keycard circuit board so you can re-sell stuff to the vendor). If you aren't confident, just start the event on a well populated server where they isn't another popular event going. If you do Encryptid and a handful of really any events, you'll get more than 12.5 cores per day (that's in line with the 10 legendary modules you can get per day cause it's 500 scrip per day). Hell, one SBQ and an Encryptid gives you 13 cores as well as a few 3 stars. You can easily do those two in less than an hour, especially if you use any of the nuke silo skips. Those are also 2 events that a lot of people will show up to help, so you don't necessarily need a good build if you're on a populated server.
The trapped camp is definitely a real thing. I went to a camp to check out their shop and ended up randomly dying by some plasma burst? Like a weapon discharge, I thought it was weird because I had pacifist mode on but didn’t think about it. I didn’t go back for my loot lol, mostly because I had very little junk.
Do not reroll legendarily effects on weapons. Scrap for scrip if it's not good, or put it up for sale instead. Better to roll on multiple same weapons, because by scraping the meh ones, you get some of the scrip back, whilst if you reroll it, you get nothing back. It's up to 20% more efficient on scrip use (depending on effect value and tier roll; Always do 3*). Also, USE TEAM PERKS. Also, because RNG is likely seeded, this means that it's better to wait and see if the primary effect you want is a common legendary drop on the session before you start rolling. Also, open gifts looted from special mobs slowly. Else, you won't be getting anything good out of them. Don't take my word for it; This all can be tested on creative servers.
You forgot one that I learned early avoid workshops unless you want to PvP. Only claim a workshop early on to learn the necessary plans from it then run outside the workshop or travel away. Its an open PvP invitation for a lot of people.
for the rusty pick crates i saw adive that said u should hold on to ur scripts for special day that halfs her prices and that you just buy modules that you use to roll on a new piece of gear that u crafted instead of the same one so u lose less scripts by just rerolling the same item
I think personally scrapping perk cards in general is something I'd 90% avoid unless I really want a legendary perk because I'm always switching my characters build and it's good to have cards on standby
My NO1 hate on this game is when some players make you walk 3 miles round their whole camp, through a maze to find the vendor, put it at the front outside your camp/vault so players actually buy or can at least find it, i cant count the times ive walked round for 5 mins in someones camp and just fast traveld to the next one because i cant find it 😒
Something I learned the hard way: If you're trying to get legendary mods for a specific weapon, it's better to craft/collect as many versions of the weapon is possible, and add the legendary mods to each of those instead of modding the same gun over and over again. That way, you can scrap the guns that didn't work out for more legendary materials.
going around to LOOK for the launch codes is the easy part. lol. iirc the pprocess to decode the launch numbers is so convoluted that it requires somewhat or rather high math knowledge and actual (moderate or advanced) decoding skills to solve the puzzle and know what the actual numbers to type into the launch computer are each week.. kinda cool in a nerdy math/immersion sort of way.
Theres people that make vids of them trolling new players. They agitate me. They complain about the community being small. But they take advantage of new players
My only tip is when, like me, you are at max scrip, just sell the stuff to a vendor. I run a Fixer, full health, commando stealth build and I just don't feel like bothering with mutations and so on. Forgive me, I am old and boring. Anyway, once I get a good roll on my gun, I just go and play. Five characters and two I will probably delete or convert to some other build. Meanwhile, I spend my caps on serum recipes.
Dude the earl tip is solid even when i do it as a upper high level player it is rough. Ever since they took legacy weapons out and i am guessing nerfed the enclave plasma flamer since i did not kill him fast with it after i came back from a break. It took way too many fixer shots to taken him down i had to go get more ammo after carrying the team i eas with that only had mid level people with unfinshed builfs.
What I’ve learned the hard way is that u can actually stack perks that add up your damage outcome, example; rifleman perk stacked with expert and master rifleman, I’ve played this game since the beta and after a year or two after it released I got turned off of it cuz I kept getting shredded playing solo meanwhile the enemies r bullet sponges, and cuz of that I had to keep making ammo and I had a dozen guns so I didn’t really have a set build cuz I wasn’t used to this type of fallout, I was just a hot mess and now I’m gettin back into it knowing I know what to do now
100% on the scrapping tip. and for PA especially because every time you put it on it counts each piece on the frame indavidualy as a new item. i normaly step out of pa when im scrapping. bonus tip if youve made a new wepon if you favourite it you wont imedatly scrap it. you get a popup asking if you want to scrap a favourited item and the default is no. so at verry least if your in auto pilot you dont automaticly scrap it. alternitivly if you make a new item then leave and rejoin a server its no longer a "new" item.
((Another Tip)) when it comes to mutations. If you have mutations and you need to get rid of some Rads take a Diluted Rad-Away. The reason this is if you take a Rad-Away it is going to temporarily Suppress your Mutations. Where if you take a Diluted Rad-Away the Suppression does not happen.
One extra thing I do to prevent scrapping my power armor helmet is by making it a favorite as soon as I equip it. This way, a menu pops up and asks me, do I really want to scrap it.
One thing that was a newbie mistake I learned the hard way was one I did like a month after I first joined which was lock pick a CAMP collectron and steal stuff only to see me with a *WANTED* marker on the map and to find it didn’t go away when I server hopped 💀
Tip on legendary mods: Once you find a weapon build you like; build two. Upgrade the legendary on one first. Once you find one you like (not necessarily the one you want), start modding the other one. If you're shooting for a specific legendary upgrade, it will take a lot of random rolls. You don't want to give up a 'bloodied mod' and get stuck with a 'junkies mod' while you're farming for legendary weapons. (Bonus note, your stash box is going to fill up fast. Sell, scrap or donate the ones you aren't going to use. Don't keep them just becuase they're pretty.)
Nuka Cola grape is better at removing rads than radaway and also doesn't kill your mutations. There is a vendor at nukaworld on tour and inside the whitesprings refuge that will sell them. Another, less efficient option is brahman milk
I had another player tell me about the camp thing in-game. Honestly, everyone should go through the decoding for launching a nuke at least once, it's pretty fun the first time. :D A slog after that. The one tip I might have added to this vid, please don't start the events immediately, wait until it's down to like 1 min so other people can get joined up! :)
So about the rerolling legendaries. I’m told it’s better instead of rerolling to sell the unwanted weapon for scrip to recoup from the cost of purchasing the modules. Just recraft and reroll obviously if you can’t craft said weapon then yeah but otherwise sell rebuild and re perk
For the nuke silos just use Chinese stealth armor. You use a quarter of the ammo and stimpacs and as long as you have the ability to hack lvl 4 computers and pick lvl 4 locks then they’re a breeze. Used to require a team of ppl and over 40 minutes of work. Now? You can nearly drop all 3 in 40 minutes in your quick enough.
When scraping just select scrap all JUNK. Its Either Y or T. I guess it depends on the system you use. Mine is T. AND Remember, if you are new, READING the menu prompts is Key. Anyway, Dont rush scraping. Again, do not scrap one by one, because you will slip up. Some times when you scrap one piece the cursor with move to the top, instead of moving down, and if you hit scrap there goes your favorite pieces. Rename them and put a ! or * so you definitely know dont scrap.
I'm new here so, you say to Scrap all your Junk before camp jumping due to Trap Camps. My Q is about dying: Is it only un-scrapped Junk in your inventory that drops? Or does it also drop Scrapped Junk that's in your inventory? Believe it or not, I'm level 31 currently and haven't died yet, so I'm really curious.
In the bunkers use chinese stealth armor. You can just sneak all the way through even in the reactor since it has 1k rad resist. Just make sure to kill the turrets asap because they have stupid high perception.
I'll back up that "Don't scrap from the NEW tab." I accidentally scrapped my PA helmet last night. It was just a vanilla T-60 so I just recrafted and repainted it. However, had that been anything special, it would have been heartbreaking. My stomach dropped instantly when I did, but then I remembered it had no stars on it. (None of the pieces had any stars at the time. ;) ) So, Yeah, don't scrap from the NEW tab. I got a warning shot, you might not get so lucky.
Thank you for the tips man, just started playing this again after I gave up when it came out.. It’s gotten so much better. (My boyfriend hates that I play 76, he is a Fallout 4 fanatic 🙄) HA
There's nothing more annoying when I can find the vendor. I've been to so many player camps where I have to navigate a senseless maze. If I can't find your vendor in 30 seconds I leave.
It's a total pain! They need to be out front and obvious!
Yeah I came across one player vendor & couldn't find his vendor , another player was there & suddenly died 😢 trap base for sure😅
fr i hate maze bases, I always have my vendor, a stash box & card machine thing right outside at my entrance
To be fair if you can't see the obvious vendor asset you need glasses it's a literal row of vending machines open your eyes Jesus
I agree, that's why I designed my camp to look like ammunition from gta, so everyone is familiar with the layout and where to buy, works out well
When you're collecting Power Armor pieces, always have a spare frame at the ready. Parts weigh nothing when attached to a frame, saving you tons of inventory/stash space.
On the plus side you can give the frames to brand new players since most won’t get power armour on the first day
Learned this today farming power cores and parts 🎉 good tip
I tend to drop off power armor chassis and a bag of fusion cores at vault 76 as well as stim packs, rad away etc. i collect so many so often from playing i just set up players. Tend to give them all my 10mm ammo or I leave it in my shop for 0 caps. Players usually take a couple hundred at a time, im impressed how people leave the rounds for others too
@@Drakken737yoooo I just started yesterday. What platform are you on?
Yes this one especially
This particular collectron will gather several types of nuka cola for you, but the ones you really want are nuka cola orange (+150HP, +50AP), nuka cola cranberry (+2% bonus XP), and nuka cola grape (+150HP, +50AP -400 RADS)
There's trap bases then there is special base that has rare items etc I guess u can say, but u never know unless ppl are told
I went to a camp and spawned off the side of a fucking mountain
Uninstalled instantly
@@TheStrokeStroker considering you barely lose anything on a death that's a hilariously low bar to get filtered by
@@TheStrokeStrokerI did that too, fast traveled to a camp as it was close to where I needed to go and spawned falling into an endless void on the side of a mountain
Is that armor better than PA?
There are different types of secret service armor, so which one? The vanilla pieces or other?
I haven't found any trap bases yet, but I did run into a mothman enthusiast. They beckoned me their shelter that had been turned into a mothman church, complete with a tome and pews. After a short sermon, they locked me in and wanted me to sacrifice myself to mothman on flaming beds and spikes lol. That was fun.
That's the ultimate trap base.
@Mike-kw5xv yep, took me a sec to figure out how to do it😂, then we hearted at each other for a few seconds, and waved goodbye
@@Mike-kw5xv thanks for the heads up!
Enjoy!
Do you have metal wall plans, the usual bot vendors are way too expensive
@@Duiflg I have what I have. You just need to check the vending machine and hope it's there. I never sell anything at cost or above. Everything is marked down.
Ill be sure to look out for it ty man gl out there

i fell like he missed a few thing so here a list
1. make sure you do your tadpole challenges to get started on you backpack upgrade !!! 120 total extra carry weight
2. once your done and onto your possum badges make sure you always do dolly farms daily and the camp fire tales for a chance for a free chance at a badge
3. make sure you start waylaid quest to meet the raiders and settlers and do there quest lines for rep and gold bullion and the ability to unlock the best amour in the game from new vendor (power and regular amour)
4. dont roll on rusty pick crates get the legendary mods and make secret service armor till you get the full set of what you want!!
5. most event give plans plz jooi them!
6. JOIN A TEAM BOUNES THAT ARE BETTER THAN THE LONE WOUNDER PERK DONT BE WIRED
I dropped my first nuke the other day and I wanted to see it, well I apparently got too close......
Thats a steam achievement tho😂
You can’t mistake the blast radius. This is a staged comment 🧐
You did it on purpose, don’t even think I’m gonna buy that you “accidentally” nuked yourself.
@@AtomicBreadCannon I think you have to be as close to the center as you can, but just make sure to unequip your armor so it doesnt break :)
🤣🤣🤣🤣
A camp tip I have always used is I try and place a camp out in a area that will be convenient for players to fast travel to. I find a spot away from other players camps and around a good area. It's always appreciated and especially helpful for mew players that don't have dozens of travel points yet.
I genuinely appreciate this so much, from a new player to you this helps a ton and thank you!!
i thank you... for those that have done the same.. im new and literally travel across the board encumbered with tons of loot (which at least thankfully you dont go as slow as you do in FO4, haha, but i know for scrap or caps its worth it usually and often have 750 weight or more by the time i finally hit either my base or the wayward/overseer camp to offload.. its a nightmare, especially when i die.. question, it says to go back and get your lost items when you die, but ive yet to find them, is this just a bogus detail that is left in the game or can you actually recover things? first time i did it i spent 20 min to get there then 10 going in circles, now i just dont bother.
@johnlombardo7816
You only drop your junk, so if you don't carry much don't waste time trying to find it.
Eh, endgame when you'll be using tbe flux anyway you can use troubleshooters or r2+ of EA perk to just run through and hit morgantown or whitespring
It's better on a private server due to lack of competition. But either way you'll have plenty
When you auto scrap hardened mass doesn’t break you have to hand select it and scrap it
Fuck I just scrapped like 10 of these
@@death299 What is the EA perk and how does it give you more hardened masses?
oh i think you meant escape artist. that doesnt give you hardened masses. and you still have to have a nuked zone so it doesn't really help.
Rename your using gear to avoid scrapping too
Additionally, if you use a symbol like "-" at the beginning or a "Z" this will sort your gear to the top and bottom of the list respectively.
Yep. Also to identify things you have multiples of. "How can I tell which power armor is my good one and which is the junk I just collected?" Well, if you renamed your main armor like I did, it would be easy.
If you put an atomic shop skin on something it won't show up on those lists at all
@@canderia this actually only applies to the legendary vending machine, but yes 100% do this too when you can.
Or just skip 90% of the silo
Or go through the Settlers quest line until you get the Chinese Stealth Suit which has beefy rad resist
The CSS is identical to any hazmat suit in terms of rad defense. @@crayonchomper1180
@@crayonchomper1180I love using the radiation legendary perk
Drinking Nuka Grape will also remove rads without removing mutations.

Same! Except I was around level 15, but still don’t ask me what CND means. 😂
@@kellyn8226 I haven't actually looked it up, but I'm pretty sure it stands for 'condition' - AKA durability.
@@kellyn8226condition. It was in older fallout games where you used items to repair items aswell.
And scrapping low lvl weapons is entirely valid, you can't scrap legendary weapons and normal ones are common enough that just swapping to a new one is fine
You're probably not heavily modding random weapons yet
You poor thing. You must've not paid attention to your beginner quests because they have it all laid out xD
@@abortedphoenix who pays attention to the tutorial?
I went to a CAMP yesterday and spawned trapped in the foundation underwater. I kept cool and opened the map and fast traveled again to a place nearby. I walked back over to the camp and the owner was standing there and logged off before I could even look around.
Not saying it was definitely a trap, but it was definitely sus as hell
It has happened to me, but I think it is just being unlucky with the spawn, I Fast Traveled back and I was completely fine.
Thanks for this ! Level 50 (finally) and didn't know I had to make the CAMP visible, I guess I assumed it would be available by default.
As a beginner I spent way too much time as a lone wanderer and it took me far too long to level up.
thank you for helping us newbies
The random jumping and walking around while talking has to be the most relatable thing ever
so happy to see your channel blowing up bro, keep up the good work! The quality gets better and better too!
I've never come across a trap camp and only learned about them recently. I DID have someone blast me halfway across the map at a workshop once, where i was just passing through to make some ammo at a crafting workbench. I have pacifist mode on all the time so it surprised me.
Best tilp, 9:33, Scrapping from the New List. I feel your pain.
So if you want to speed up the process here's what I do:
Take the Stealth Armor and make sure you're able to hack lvl 3 terminals.
I’ve seen this camp before! The “Morgantown Cottage”
So sick to see a new twist on it
A painful tip I learned early on.
Say you used a 3 star roll on your favorite weapn but you didnt like the 1 Star roll I got on it. (I.e Junkie, Aristocrat). I made the mistake of trying to reroll with only the 1 Star materials but ended up OVERWRITING the previous one I did.
So, dont be me 😂
I did the same :D
I got caught by the same trap camp twice. It had a riding bull on a floor over a cliff face. I rode for a few seconds and they despawned the base. I thought it was just a bug at first as it happened so fast and the camp was back almost instantly. I fell to my death. I ran back, the tiny bit of scrap I had was gone. I went back up to ride the bull again because yay! Fun! and they did it again and I clicked. Hope he enjoyed the plastic and wood I had. Made me laugh so hard. Dick move but hilarious
Get 2 pieces of armor with 50% fall damage and laugh at them when you survive any fall.
So funny the trap camp was the first thing that killed me in game. Literally straight outta the vault. So I had nothing on me :)
It also helps a bit on Encrypted.
Coming back after years away. Great video man, thank you!
I like your chill atmosphere keep it up, I jsut got back into this game after 2 years
Tips I learned the Hard Way: Showing my Bobblehead Collection in a youtube video while missing one single Bobblehead. lol
Currently level 330
I did not know about the vendor tip you gave XD holy crap im surprised it took me this long to learn this
Even those with experience can learn a new thing or two. Thanks!!
I wanna make a trap camp now, thanks for recommending looking up a tutorial. 😂
If you want to melt your brain find kazamati. The best trap camp builder in the Wastelands.
.illusion - is on youtube and he has awesome tutorials for trap camps
not me didn't know you can scrap perk cards into perk points until now xd (just bought the game and played for 33 hours ig)
I didn't know trap camps were a thing, but then I found 2, within 30 mins, just last night
Never fix a fking broken player vendor lmao its always a death trap
Keep up the great work!!
Make sure to have the Legendary Perk - ELECTRIC ABSORPTION equipped when do any nuke run,
Definitely, charge your fusion core and heal, "Yes Please" 😂😂
With just how happy you was about the amount of Subs you've got... im gunna Sub too!
We love Bladd! Keep up the good work bro I can tell you are going somewhere.
for the rusty pick crates i saw adive that said u should hold on to ur scripts for special day that halfs her prices and that you just buy modules that you use to roll on a new piece of gear that u crafted instead of the same one so u lose less scripts by just rerolling the same item
Buying random drops from the purveyor is a waste. Get mods and roll. Yep yepnyep
I think personally scrapping perk cards in general is something I'd 90% avoid unless I really want a legendary perk because I'm always switching my characters build and it's good to have cards on standby
My NO1 hate on this game is when some players make you walk 3 miles round their whole camp, through a maze to find the vendor, put it at the front outside your camp/vault so players actually buy or can at least find it, i cant count the times ive walked round for 5 mins in someones camp and just fast traveld to the next one because i cant find it 😒
Something I learned the hard way:
If you're trying to get legendary mods for a specific weapon, it's better to craft/collect as many versions of the weapon is possible, and add the legendary mods to each of those instead of modding the same gun over and over again.
That way, you can scrap the guns that didn't work out for more legendary materials.
going around to LOOK for the launch codes is the easy part. lol.
iirc the pprocess to decode the launch numbers is so convoluted that it requires somewhat or rather high math knowledge and actual (moderate or advanced) decoding skills to solve the puzzle and know what the actual numbers to type into the launch computer are each week..
kinda cool in a nerdy math/immersion sort of way.
great job just hopped back into the wasteland great info!
What absolute scumbag move to build traps in your camp to collect few pieces of junk from players
Theres people that make vids of them trolling new players. They agitate me. They complain about the community being small. But they take advantage of new players
You think it has anything to do with junk? 😂
Nothing to do with the scrap it's simply internet age cuntery.
You think fallouts bad you should see rust trap bases lol.
yeah that nuke tip I wish I knew about before I tried to drop one, omg I kept dying and wasted all my ammo to those damn robots 😭
Bladd, we are going to the moon with this channel! Continue on good sir!
Dead giveaway of a trap camp is no storage boxes anywhere in sight.
What I’ve learned the hard way is that u can actually stack perks that add up your damage outcome, example; rifleman perk stacked with expert and master rifleman, I’ve played this game since the beta and after a year or two after it released I got turned off of it cuz I kept getting shredded playing solo meanwhile the enemies r bullet sponges, and cuz of that I had to keep making ammo and I had a dozen guns so I didn’t really have a set build cuz I wasn’t used to this type of fallout, I was just a hot mess and now I’m gettin back into it knowing I know what to do now
Nice going and good luck with the channel!
Multi-nuking stories? I finished a Colossal Problem last week, came out of the mine and some F**r dropped a nuke on the same site! Perfect timing.
If you are newbie (like me) dont go on ranking up perk cards to max, until you understand the math and the builds you wanna go with...
Subbed! keep up the good work. You got the voice and personality 👍🏻
Thank you! Will do!
What a nice visible rex circle!
I kicked myself so hard when you mentioned turning the show base icon to “On” I’ve had it off this whole time unbelievable
Thank you for the tips man, just started playing this again after I gave up when it came out.. It’s gotten so much better. (My boyfriend hates that I play 76, he is a Fallout 4 fanatic 🙄) HA
Hating on someone liking 76 when your favorite game is 4 is definitely the pot and the kettle 😂
Thanks for the tips man 👍
