@@yazdankhodayar First of all, the whole approach is hand flown, second, this airport is known for extremely GUSTY crosswinds, third, the runway is very short for an airliner, fourth, this was NOT a hard landing. Believe me, I'm a hard critic on hard landings including my own. This was perfect. Oh, and this is real, not fsx. :)
Amazing video Hula! Showing off your fantastic flying skills and technique. Love the sound and crescendo of those CF6-80s whining in high drag landing configuration. The A310 was a great bird, powerful and highly versatile. 1980s airliners have always been my favorite. The widebody 310 looks a lot more stable and predictable flying this approach compared to the A320 you fly now. Granted the great video of the A320 landing you shot was a much windier day it seemed but still. Do you also fly the A321neo now as well or just the A320? I bet you miss flying the heavy jet! Would love to see some A310 flightdeck takeoff videos if you have any to share with us or perhaps the A320 into Boavista. That circling approach Boavista video on the 310 was truly breathtaking. Happy flying and thanks a ton for this content!
@@hansgrietjes7310 if he can feel his plane then he makes decisions based off of that you sound stupid 😂when he sat down he probably thought he had the right seating position and then changed it so he can feel more comfortable and connected to the aircraft. Would you rather him fly in Gusty winds with uncomfortable seat position?
The airbus A300 and A310 are pretty old and not really in use as much anymore....the used the yoke. A318, A319, A320, A321, A330, etc...(newer generation) all use joysticks
Control Collums (no side stix!) Love SATA and the A310 (man, a remade version of THAT aircraft for s/m routes with pax and cargo, could certainly be used these days!) Excellent Video! 20AUG22
Very nice, especially having both the internal and external views. The two officers however have a body language which says they don’t like each other much.
This plane if fitted with modern displays and some modern tech, more economical engines, it would be a fantastic plane, even without them is fantastic.
Yoke is an old tech, thank to Airbus changed it to Side Stick, look at the captain's finger, he busy to trimming his plane, the pilot is not supposed busy on trimming while landing a plane, it is very uncomfortable
two different 310s being recorded here. @ 4:40 when the first 310 landed, the other 310 @ 4:48 (which was supposed to be the same aircraft) was still gliding over the runway.
I'm was 60 days old! But never regrets! If I can, again, youppie!!! It's was in 1974...Greatest.
A310 design put Boeing on a real competition threat. A real wide body from Airbus. Will miss A300 and A310.
How can anyone give thumbs down to this. Perfect approach and landing.
Haters man 👊 all good 👌
Nobody goes to Madeira to see the perfect approach and landing, they go to see proper pilots working for their pay checks!
The camera angles, the hard landing,

UN-BELIEVABLE!!!!!!! It looks like they're landing on a strip just 10 feet long!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Kudos to all the pilots who take on this landing!
It actually looks shorter than it is, the runway is around 1.8 Km long
Beautiful old Airbus action! I love it!
Beautiful airplane and great video! Love the 310 cockpit, better than that only a DC-10, 737-200 or 747-200. :)
Great video, excellent work. Thank you very much for sharing.
Agree, good pilot. Cool looking plane. Love how the wings seem close to the front and great flightdeck with yokes! The engines sound amazing too...
Wow, only one word ( amazing ) thank you for sharing, subscribed and like, briliant landing of an a310

This pilot has a good flying technique. Constantly trimming and relaxing the pressure. Also, avoided pumping the controls.

It looks like a tough landing there. Great Pilot!
amazing landing! what a great video!
Lindo!
I once flew to madeira as a passenger in a Hapag Lloyd A310 similar to this one. Very good video!

vegasjill21 Thanks;)
Nice engines sound!
Awesome landing.
Airbus with a yoke? I'm confused...
Models A300 and A310 are all equipped with yoke.
Theflying Hula thanks. New info..

Nice landing guys. I too like your style, not nervous, not overreacting, nice wide manual control of the flight.

At least you could trim an older Bus ;)
Nothing wrong with that landing
Very good. Sata a310. Looks so easy to land. And they made the exit...
It is very easy aircraft to land. Its a cessna 152 with big engines.
Good video, good comments. Great landing! That was fun.

Terbaik!!! Pilotnya sungguh tenang mengendalikan pesawat..... Very cool pilot💪👍
Fantástico!😀😀
Beautifully done sir. Can't ask for much better than that.🤗🐻👍
Love the stubby A310!
Come from Msfs2020 😂 nice video
Me too 🤣
He must have been here before..
alp tansel he was born there!
very good video with images inside and outside. five starts
Nice! Way prettier than the other video with the wind shear.
Uau!
A310 has a yoke? really??
A300 and A310 had yokes.
The electronics is going crazy
No they aren't. It's due to the camera.
That was fun! Thanks!
I never knew Stephen Hawking became the GPWS callouts for Airbus.
Este é um dos mais belos e perfeitos vídeos de aterrizagem no UA-cam! Muitos Parabéns pela edição!!!
100th comment! Why are the instruments glitching?
They aren’t glitching, its the camera that makes it look like that
The GPWS are creepy

EXCELLENT! WITH COMPLIMENTS.
loved it
I’ve flown with sata to Portugal from uk great little airline very friendly.
fantastic plane 👌🏻

First Airbus I ever did see with a yoke
The a300 and a310 have a yoke
Mentira Airbus não tem manche
I thought all air bus used joysticks ???
A300 and A310 had yokes.
Is trimming during flare a normal technique in airbus 310 ???
sandeep Singh Kahlon it’s a free pilot’s technique. No manual talks against it. The A320 trims by itself during flare as well ;)
Those pilots are the "steel-nerved and cold" type !
Amazing video, realy very nice thank you :)
Tenho saudades de ver estes pequenos gigantes! Mas como tudo na vida, tem o seu fim! Obrigado pelo video
Great video!!!!
MSFS2020 lol
This Airbus doesn't have the atari 🕹joystick yoke?
Nope. This is an older model aircraft. And its either a joystick, or a yoke. A joystick yoke doesnt exist.

Airbus has .... *Yoke*🙄🙄
I expected worse. Can someone with experience explain why this airport is very difficult?
fluttershy77x It wasn’t a hard windy day. And with such heavy aircraft things are quite more stable.
That's Boeing.
No, thats Airbus

What is the pilot adjusting with the thumb all the time?
It´s the elevator trim rocking button. It is used do decrease the force applied on the control column.
