  • Here are some great single stack 9mm concealed carry options. When talking about the platforms... Was meaning three different trigger actions. Yes, both the Glock and Kahr are Striker Fired handguns.. Love all three of these. For a first time concealed carrier, definitely give them a look. Hope this helps. God bless!

I have numerous compact handguns. That kimber is the best shooting by far. It's dead on, I'm impressed. But the other options are great too.

Love my Kimber micro 9 TFX Pro Stainless. M☆Carbo trigger kit. 50% trigger pull reduction. Perfect carry for the 1911 guys. Cant beat it. Great sights, accuracy, trigger, safety. Firm grip and shell eat any ammo you can feed it.

We recently bought the Kimber Micro 9 and it is probably the best Compact carrying gun for my wife. She said in her purse it’s perfect and on her side it’s perfect.
Excellent purchase!!! However they are not $650 in Pittsburgh. I wish they were.

    great review thanks I've
owned the G43 4 times and the shield 3 times now, great guns only I just keep trading them off, but my PM 9 is a keeper for sure so light and comfortable to concealed carry in many areas, plus it's very accurate going on about 1000 flawless rnds and counting.

Yup, I feel the same way bud. Been there.. and yes, the PM9 will be around for a while....it's just that much smaller and lighter, yet shoots smoother. Thanks for sharing!

Great video! I know a lot of folks have discovered that these minis may not be combat handguns but they're the ones you'll have on you when the most unexpected happens. I own two of these and have tried the third - all good options, and it will depend, as always, on the shooter. First, the Glock 43, the one I do not own - it's a Glock and if you're accustomed to the Glock trigger this is the one for you. I do not use, nor do I recommend, pocket carry, but I know a lot of people do, and of these three the Glock seemed just a little smoother in the pocket, with fewer snags. I agree that the extended mag is useless on the Glock - if you want extra rounds, carry a 19. It isn't a subcompact but it is a very serious firearm for personal defense. The Kahr - I have the predecessor, the P9 Covert, which I carried for years. Had a smith touch up the trigger and it's the smoothest of the three albeit the heaviest. If you are a double-action revolver shooter, this one is pure heaven. It was my go-to "social" gun until the Kimber Micro 9 came along last summer. I'm an old 1911 shooter and so operating the safety from the drawstroke on the Kimber is second nature, but it does require training no matter who you are. You won't be hitting this one with the ball of the thumb, the gun's too tiny, it hits aft of the knuckle and for shooters with big hands, into the webbing. No big deal, it's just a little different, that's all. Of the three this is the only one I'd recommend the extended mag for (if you can find one). Maybe it's the subtle weight distribution, but with that full loaded it feels like a lot bigger gun. All three of these will yield reliable A-zones at 25 meters, which is about all you can ask of a subcompact anyway. All three will feed 124-gr self defense loads flawlessly. I didn't get a chance to test the Glock with 147-gr but the other two eat them up just fine. All great guns.

I think that was a better choice on your decision to make the trigger change. Course, I do wonder aside from the aesthetic draw, why dress up some of those smaller guns if the purpose is concealment? Points taken on the mag extensions, it's what you said about that specifically, which got me curious about the motivation make some of those other more obvious adjustments.

Great video. That micro 9 is gorgeous. Thinking about picking one up. FYI - Your going to love the Hyve trigger. Zero take up straight to the wall. Feels amazing and is night and day from the factory trigger. I got the taran extension and your so right. It's only adds like a few mm. Also have the hyve as well. I put magguts in each and can get 8 now, but it's too tight in the taran. The hyve works better. They both function fine, but pushing in magazine has major resistance. Bends the ejector so don't run the taran with 8 in my rig. Thanks for sharing!!

Baseline, virtually all of my family and friends are more accurate by default with the Kimber Micro 9 and Sig P928 style micro 1911's over other pocket pistols and even a Ruger SR9c, witch is striker fired and a decent gun, also much bigger and has a longer sight radius. It may take longer to be comfortable but at 10-15 yards the they are nail drivers. I mostly think its the beautiful triggers and the sights as well as ergonomics. Both are some of the best in the hand I have ever felt, the Glock in your vid is also decent as well. I don't believe I have had the Kahr in hand but I have medium small hands so I think its another reason I like the slim presentation of the Kimber and Sig, oh, and did I mention they are extremely good looking..lol

I have e not had any issues with mine and I'm right around 500 rounds. I recomend not shooting steel casing rounds. Only brass. I have heard it likes to jam up. But I myself only use brass casing.. the gun itself is personal preference. I love mine and my stepfather loves his. I purchesed mine off of gunbuyer.com and was alot cheaper then any stores around me. I have the night fall. With night sights and the hogue grips and extended pinky grip. My stepdad has the two tone

I’ve never handled any Kahr but it’s action is too much like the S&W M&P Bodyguard 380 I just got rid of for me to want any part of it. The Glock 43 is a good gun, I have fired one belonging to a friend several times. The trigger never struck me as being all that heavy. About the same as my 2 Glocks... a 17 & a 26... both have great triggers which are supposed to be 5.5 pounds but feel more like between 4 to 4 and a half to me. And yes I do use G19 mags with X-Grips spacers in the 26. Makes for a great handling piece in my opinion. But my absolute favorite carry piece is my Kimber Micro 9 “Crimson”. Mine came with a 7 round magazine and I have purchased 3 more for it. I have to place the Micro 9 among my top five most accurate semiautomatics with the other 4 being full sized 1911s & Berettas. Thanks for the video... while I don’t agree with all of your conclusions I found them well thought out and your reasoning is sound even if I didn’t agree with all of it. Be well! :)

Tom Wunder appreciate you sharing brother. Yes, just recently picked up another micro 9 tan with CT grip. Excellent gun. My favorite out of the 3....(and I’m a Glock guy). The action on the Kahr is definitely a long deliberate pull (which in some cases will fit the inexperienced concealed carrier better, lil safer to carry knowing that you REALLY need to pull that trigger... won’t be pulled by accident (in most cases). Take care and thanks for tuning in 👍

Just a thought. The Kahr trigger, everyone complains about the long Kahr trigger compared to all the other better shorter triggers. K. I can't remember the last reviewer I've watched ever mention modifying a Kahr trigger....or even wanting to....lol! But then, they all talk about modifying the shorter triggers of all the other brands of guns to"make them better"....hahaha! I guess that tells us all we need to know about a Kahr trigger. I think they are the perfect trigger for a small carry gun. Good job Justin Moon.

I only place a gun as "flawless" after way more rounds than this has been through. But yes, so far 160ish without issue. Using 124 and 147g. Honestly, I'm a polymer age dude. But this lil thing is f'ing sweet....main reasoning being that although it looks like an expensive safe queen, it's frigging a Glock $500-$550.. but if I had to do it again I would have waited for the Raptor version or even the new FDE version they JUST came out with! Get that! And I'll be the one who's jealous..lmao. Always new items out there to grab! If only $$$ wasn't a factor. Lol. Take care bud.
