I'm with you on the PM9 .I got a solid black one when the first came out ,Sold it didn't like the finish .When it came out with the s/s slide I bought 2 of them . Still have one and like you has been my ccw ever since I got it . I'm a Glock guy so I will buy the G43 but continue to carry the PM9 .
great review, ive been on the fence on the 43...ive had my pm9 for about 3yrs and absolutely love it for its reliability and size. i carry it in a crossbreed minituck and never had any issues with it. great accurate shooter. when the 43 came out i was really interested but after watching many reviews and size comparisons, looks like ive decided to stick with my kahr. thanks for the review!
Great review..Ive heard nothing but good reviews on the Kahr. I love my Baretta PX4 compact (excellent gun)..but I also want somthing a bit smaller.This looks like my next buy.
Good review, it's convinced me to keep my kahr and not waste my money on the glock since they seem almost the same and it's only for conceal carry. I have trained with the kahr a hell of a lot more than I have on my glock 19 since it's my everyday carry, I won't be wasting my money on another gun that's slightly inferior (at least in my eyes) that I won't carry everyday anyways.
Like many, I was waiting and waiting for a single stack Glock but like you, I went the Kahr PM9 route...must be 8 years now and I still love that gun. I can't believe how accurate it is and find the size gives it an advantage over the G43. I won't be trading my PM9 any time soon (if ever) so I believe I'll pass on the Glock -- there's no role for it to fill that isn't already well met by what I have.
13noman1 very true. The Kahr PM9 is the perfect size. I know some guys who have a gun that they carry in the summer and another in the winter. With the Kahr PM9 there is no need. Its small enough and light enough ill put it in my gym shorts and it doesn't pull them down.
I have had a Kahr CW9, CW45, CM45 of which, I had some problems and got rid of them. I also have a PM9, which I have had for about 6 or 7 years and it has been reliable if it doesn't get dirt in it ( I work in the dirt). A very nice pistol that shoots very nice. Fits in a pocket pretty good. My daily carry, however, is a G27 (it doesn't seem to care about dirt) and a spare G23 mag

The Kahr is a better pistol... though I prefer the P9, as I can get all fingers on the grip and it is only a half inch longer, for slightly better accuracy and control (IMO) Mine is a black diamond, which I prefer, with NS. Not sure why anyone would go G43 over the G26, not enough width savings to overcome the double stack capacity.
Have you pocket carried either of these? I either want one of these, or an LCP Max. Hoping to maybe steer clear of .380 in favor of 9mm for power and cost savings.
Great comparison! Had my PM9 forever. The only issue I've had is a crappy mag. Looks like they have fixed the ridiculous sharp edges on the slide release. Mine will punch a hole in your thumb!

The durability of Glock is far superior to that of the Kahr. I own both of these also. I also own several other Glock:s and four Kahr's. Three of the four Kahr's have had to go back to the factory for repairs. My K40 Kahr it a tank, I dont think it will ever break. I have only had one Glock go in for repairs and it was 18 years old with several thousand rounds through it. Needless to say, my PM9 is up for sale and my G43 is my new deep concealment gun.
Owning both, clearly the g43 is a better concealed carry firearm. Not to say the Kahr is bad for the prices they sell for in 2020 but imho the glock has better form, feel and contols, better trigger, and way better magazines.
QUESTION ANYONE? My PM9 has a lot of kick back and feels like a hair trigger compared to my Glocks. What can i do to make it feel better? Ive only shot about 200 rounds thru it.
+Secret Agent trigger pull on the Kahr is long and steady, like a revolver. Glock is a glock. A lot easier to stage the glock trigger than the kahr as you cannot feel the breaking point on the Kahr as you can with the Glock. Im a Glock fan, but I wouldn't give up my Kahr for a Glock.
Well weight-wise, you never weighted the g43 empty. Then your comparison weighed one with the mag extension vs the other without so this gives us no clue as to actually weight comparison...if we're getting down to the nitty gritty of ounces. So suffice it to say the Kahr is around an ounce lighter, empty

Kahr hands down. I bought the cm9 so the price was a lot less than the Glock and the grip is much better.
Have both, both 100% reliable. I carry the Kahr simply because it's shorter, round count being the same.

Yup. I've had the kahr, could only feed 115 grain corbons and fmjs...my g43 shoots everything I feed it
