7:20 Learn more about how to identify nutritional deficiencies by looking at your face!
Let’s talk about what lower back pain says about your overall health and what deficiencies you may have.
Typically, people treat lower back pain with medications, and they go on their way. But what is the root cause of low back pain, especially chronic back pain? It's important to consider the connection between nutritional deficiencies and back pain to help get rid of back pain for good.
Vitamin deficiencies that can lead to low back pain:
    1. Vitamin D
Vitamin D deficiency can lead to:
    • Bone pain
    • Inflammation
    • Soft bone
    • Skeletal problems in children
    * Magnesium deficiency and boron deficiency can interfere with your vitamin D levels and can lead to back problems, as well.
    2. Vitamin K2
Vitamin K2 deficiency can lead to:
    • Stenosis
    • Arthritis
    • Bone spurs
    • Calcium deposits
    * Vitamin K2 and vitamin D work together.
    3. Vitamin E
Vitamin E deficiency can lead to:
    • Back weakness
    • Atrophy
    * Avoid tocopherols and try a tocotrienol complex or wheat germ oil instead.
    4. Manganese
    Manganese deficiency can lead to:
    • Disc problems
    • Collagen problems
    • Increased risk of scoliosis
Other things that can cause back pain:
    • Consuming omega-6 fatty acids and not consuming enough omega-3 fatty acids
    • A diet high in sugar and carbs
    • Kidney stones
    • Gallstones

Im a retired auto mechanic. I have had lower back pain from bending / leaning over car fenders for 40 years. I changed my diet to limit carbs and sugar and have found that my back pain level has dropped dramatically. When i slipped up and had sweets in my diet the pain reimerged. Cut the sweets and carbs back to low carb and the pain went away. Now to be fair i am supplementing k2/d3 and some other vitamins but i think SUGAR irritates the condition and starts causing the inflammation. Love your channel you have taught me so much over the past two years.....

I am on a beyond limited budget so I took the chance and ordered a bed-in-a-box online "medium firm", which in my opinion was "FIRM", not only was it under $300 but it was very easy to get to the second floor. I do "improper" things to my lower back regularly and for the first time in quite a while, no lower back pain! Doc Berg is the best, but you have to help him help you too.

I took these vitamins in considerable doses for several months but that didn't help so it probably wasn't the cause of my pains. I then started taking serrapeptase and it worked wonderfully for my back pain (from an old injury) and undiagnosed fibromyalgia. I have had multiple major abdominal surgeries in the past and the large scar on my skin became tender, started burning, and turned bright red like it was a fresh wound. I became concerned that perhaps the serrapeptase was dissolving or at least weakening my old surgical scars inside and out. So I stopped taking it and the issues there have gone away.
However my back and fibromyalgia still doesn't hurt now the way it did before I started taking serrapeptase. I'm hoping maybe it helped heal the damage permanently and now I'll be mostly pain free without taking anything. We'll see, I have been dealing with this for over 15 years and in that time only the serrapeptase helped this much.

Thank you Dr Berg for all your time and effort. I’d love it if you could do something on Thyroid Cancer and the problems we then have after it is removed and we need to be on Thyroxine, Thyroid Hormones. I’ve survived stage 3 Melanoma, and then Thyroid cancer, I’m very lucky I know, but it hard to find info on how we can make our lives better or easier with all the complications that we have to navigate for the rest of our lives. Sometimes it really gets me down, it can get dark, but I know that’s selfishbut as a single Dad of 4 incredible children I need to keep going. I was very active and had lots of energy, but that was before I had my thyroid, lymph nodes etc out, and then I was the exact opposite. It’s like I’ve had 2 lives, before TC and then after. I am exhausted all the time and have put on a heap of weight, even while pushing myself to exercise, I’m hoping to find help and hints to make things a little better. I’ll take any info you have with huge thanks. I want to be as active with my kids as I can. But I sometimes struggle. Also I think as children we need to be taught the importance of the thyroid and how to keep it healthy. Thanks again. Cheers from Australia.

Great information. Just want to mention that I recently found out that my peripheral neuropathy in my feet (I suffer from burning pain in my soles when walking anymore than 200 metres) maybe caused by my lower back pain. I was sceptical, but after gently exercising my lower back, the burning sensation in my feet has decreased. I use to do a lot of sit-ups daily, but stopped after developing lower back pain.

@@Drberg thank you for all your time and effort.

So swapping my crappy econo size vit e of a thousand caps with wheat germ oil and allowing rest but doing bed exercises for lower back. I know I’ll be back up soon.
