You are right, they are obviously different sizes. I labelled them both as 5/16 because when building you would need only one drill bit making the build simpler. On my cap the smaller hole is 1/4, and it's the breather hole, so making it 5/16 doesn't hurt anything. Mine is a prototype that I built years ago. >---
With a Santee you can use this to pump material into a bucket or directly into a sluice
allthread with electrical tape is a very bad idea. easyer , cheaper and better to just use a 1" pipe instead
