- I attempted a Hardcore Nuzlocke of a very odd Romhack called Omega Paradox BLIND.

NUZLOCKE RULES:
Basic Rules:
-Once a Pokémon faints it is considered dead and cannot be used anymore.
-You can only catch your first encounter in every area.
-You must nickname every Pokémon.
-Once you white out the run is over.
Hardcore Rules:
-You cannot use items in battle. Held items are allowed.
-You have to change the Battle-Style to "Set".
-You cannot level past the next Gym Leaders strongest Pokémon.
Blind Rules:
-You may not look at any documentation (except for the level caps)
-You may not calculate anything for damage

The N replacement is a real deep cut. Masked Man is a real character from the Pokemon Adventures manga, and talking about him any more is pretty much entirely spoilers (not even a fan of the manga lul)

I don't know why it was this that actually sent me, but seeing Ghetsis as a random NPC that just helpfully gives you a Full Heal left me laughing for minutes.

I love that despite how fucked up everything in this game is, the Golem sprite is incredibly sick and I prefer it to the old one.

I was mostly expressionless at the random anime cameos somehow but I laughed heartily IRL every time one of those triple battles hit their own team mate.
What made me burst out laughing was the battle with just an overworld sprite of some guy

Alder’s team isn’t that random, his champion team in BW1 has a Vanilluxe, Boufallant, and Accelgor so it’s actually perfectly fitting

This game left me cackling so hard I couldn't breathe. The Drake sprite is top tier, and Wally looks like they got him from Wish. But my favourite thing has to be low budget Megamind, beautiful reference to Pokemon Adventures. Love how he commands Team Aqua when they aren't even in the same region, 20/10. WAIT no I take it back, my favourite thing is Vecna's Curse N. That's the best sprite right there

The new Drake sprite is my favorite in the entire franchise and no one can tell me otherwise.
It was amazing to watch live, especially the triple battle ai and how the Mamoswine was above the level cap

4:35 idk why but boss giovanni having only one pokemon named snoggy, and Drxx just saying “SNOGGY?” in utter confusion is just killing me
there’s something about these constant triple battles in random places that i definitely believe it costs this dimension of Unova MILLIONS in architectural damage.
This nuzlocke reminded me of just how much skill link cinccino carried me in black 2 as a kid

It's a hack on top of a drayano hack he would never put out anything this unpolished
One way you can tell if you hit a move in gen 5 through evasion boosts is if a gem activates. Let's say you're using Flying Gem Acrobatics. If you miss the move, the gem won't activate. If you hit the Acrobatics, the gem will activate. Not too important because you'll see the message of the miss or the health bar going down anyway, but still
Thats more of a safety measure so the gem effects arent wasted on a missed move
How high were the people who made this game. It looks like a fever dream and I love it. Keep up the good work.

Pokemon snakewood is weirder. I seriously remember not being able to sleep as a kid because of it lmaoo
I regret what i said.
The start of pokemon snakewood made me shiver when I was a kid, but after rewatching the pokedex, the only gory pokemon were muk, snorlax, houndoom and slaking... the rest is a pure joke (which I believe was the intention of the game I guess).
Watched this whole thing live, but watching/commenting/liking this to help the algorithm ^^

I was on the edge of playing this game, but I have been convinced. It looks like a fun ride. Plus, gen 5 is my favorite, and there's not as many hacks of this gen. Some good funny moments here, gotta love Cinccino too!
I love how this is just a nonsense hack that is like "fuck it, random trainers are NPCs" while still kind of being a thing, like it seems to not take itself seriously at all but at least isn't completely stupid like some hacks that are so absolutely idiotic that they are unplayable and shit
One thing while watching this that is an actual improvement over any base Unova game.. getting a fishing rod during the main game.. like I never knew it was a post game thing.. so I started up Black randomly to do water only because.. bored one day.. gave up early on since, with level caps.. Burgh is the worst thing ever because Leavanny outspeeds and OHKO'd my entire team multiple times (wasn't nuzlocke.. just challenge) and my only mons were I think a Panpour, Tympole, and Dewott.. since those were only options..
But something way way worse was all the Triple and Rotation battles.. like I know that was one of the new things in Unova (and honestly SHOULD have been used more than like twice, with both I think being optional).. but the AI seemingly not able to understand it was... interesting
