Angelina is 14 now (about to be 15 in Jan). You used a couple of the words that I always think of when listening to Angelina... integrity and wisdom. Her musical integrity is incredible. She never takes the 'easy' way with a song. She sets new bars with every song she covers, and now that she is writing more, she is setting new bars there too. And wisdom... this kid's emotional wisdom is off the charts. She not only knows how a song is supposed to sound, she knows how a song is supposed to feel. She always gives the listener a personal connection with the song when she sings... even songs we have heard for years take on new personal meanings when she covers them. I can't wait to see what gifts she is going to give the world in the coming years.
Yes, I love Angelina Jordan 💜 ... in answer to that question. She is connected with Source is what I feel about her, brings that connection in full force with her music, and thereby reconnects us to our own bond with that beautiful Source.
My two favorite musicians are similar in their connection with that Source, Divine Love. They touch people’s hearts with their music. They are only a year apart with Angelina born in January and Alma Deutscher born in February the year before. Their music genres are very different and yet complimentary in their joyousness I believe. I hope they can meet, collaborate perhaps in some interesting way, and at least have each other as a parallel support on their wondrous journeys as they devote their music to bringing more beauty and joy into the world.

I want to share an interesting parallel, my father (now deceased) saw Carlos Gardel sing when he was little in a private bar in Montevideo Uruguay on 18 de Julio Street. As he tells me, so many people accumulated outside that it was impossible for them to enter the bar. At one point Carlos Gardel made a gesture to them to wait for him to go out to sing. After finishing the presentation at the bar, he came out and sang outside in the middle of the avenue with all the people, many songs and his voice sounded as if he had speakers, they even had to cut off the traffic. There is also another anecdote of Gardel that in the USA they were making the film and in the hotel he began to sing in the shower and that caused a commotion throughout the hotel. Two days ago I was on the train in Buenos Aires and I was listening to Angelina with my earphones and I imagined that she sang at that moment and how people would react, I suppose the same silence that occurs in AGT or in any stadium that she sings . I wanted to share this parallel, we are witnessing a miracle called Angelina Jordan

One thing (among many others) that I love with Angelina is that she sounds the same live or in studio. The few differences with the first release are only artistic choices.
Angelina closes her eyes because as she has said, when she sings, she goes to a beautiful place in her head, and that is how she transmits her emotion to our hearts.

Regarding to new songs, Angelina's been working on a new album during last year. I'm sure its launch won't be late but now she's signed with Republic Records, and has an
additional production work in order to release a fantastic album. We must be patient by now.

Angelina will be 15 in early January. She is so great at so young. Oh, and she wrote this song, in collaboration with others. It is about her late grandfather, but you are right, it applies to all of us who lost someone close.
You may be right about the music arrangements but the lyrics are entirely her own which, given her you g age, is mind blowing really!

Our little barefoot princess has grown to over 6 foot tall and looks so much older than last we saw her perform on AGTTC. Republic Records is currently setting up a world wide promotion for her upcoming album. From what I understand, Angelina's album will be mostly if not all original songs. I am new to Angelina Jordan. In watching her as a child, I noticed her very long fingers and feet so I’m not surprised to read she is over 6’ tall. A unique person in many ways.

@@wajj1842 It is refreshing to see that she isn't self conscious about her feet and still sings barefoot. I never understood the desire for women to want small feet. I would like to see what her real height is now-mot just guesses. She was inches taller than Heidi Klum (who is 5'9") on AGT, so that tells you something about her height.
Back in 2014 this little 7 year old girl first struck a world dumb with a talent that most said was God given. She became known by many as "The Barefoot Princes of Music". Throughout her years growing up we all where mesmerized by this little girl with the Old sole and the voice and stile of Amy Winehouse and Billie Holiday. By age 12 we all knew she was destined to greatness and many in the Music industry where reacting either by vying to sign her or hoping to silence her. Cover after cover she brought back hits that the music industry either could not duplicate or match and she did it with her own style and not only matched them but made them better in a way that was humble and showed respect to those that she copied. Every one was whispering and wondering what would happen when she got older, could she wright her own stuff and could she sing fresh material or was she just a mimic. Most of her fans knew the answers to those and we have waited. Any one that sings as she does from a place of Joy in the art, respect for those who she has learned from and real Happiness in her ability to make others feel happy was destine to greatness. Her secret weapon was faith in her self, her craft and her family. She never thought about the money only making beautiful music. Now here we are, She steps out on the stage still barefoot, still the pretty young girl we all love but she has her own voice now, her own words that she has begin to express at the age of just 15. With them she has gone from the Bare foot Princes Growing in to the confidant caring and thoughtful Queen of her profession. How can that title be hers, She embodies all the best qualities of those she benefitted from, Heart, strength of commitment, and character. A real love of her talent and her art that is not driven by greed but of the pure desire to do what she loves and in a way that embodies all the best traits of her idols and mentors. Sorry for the loss of your stepdad. Angelina lost both her grandfathers in the last couple of years. It must have been difficult since she is so close to her family. I also lost my mother about 2 months ago now. This song is a balm to me, capturing the connection and appreciation I have for my mom even though she is a million miles away. It is beyond belief that a 14-year-old can express such sensitivity that brings expression to my feelings, grief, and relief from sorrow. I hope you find solace in this song, and keep reacting to all the wonderful songs of feeling streaming from Angelina, a vessel of illumination for us all.

Seeing her face while hearing the emotion in her voice touches me to the core..every time, and I can't count how many times I've watched this. Did you notice how she places her tongue between her lips when she sings the word "like" rather than simply touching behind her teeth? I haven't seen her do this with other words that begin with "L". It would seem to be a vocal coach technique...?
Wonderful to have you back with Angelina, Valerie. You are always on point, and truly enjoying her incredible performances. In this song she pulls us in to her soul, hanging on to every word. A lot of singers can sing, but I dont know anyone who can deliver like Angelina, and make every word count. Sometimes we are not reading well enough between the lines either, and not really get what is written, or the meaning by the writer is not shining well enough through. Many situations that have escalated in the world are due to misunderstandings, and that is a shame. I think we all could be more aware, specially involving those who dont have English as their first language, as myself. It is a challenge for us, both to interpret, understand and to be understood all the time.

A quick note on why Angelina shuts her eyes when she sings. I'm a guitar player with 35+ years of experience. Why do you think so many instrumentalists shut their eyes? Because they're in another world, hearing every single, subtle nuance of the music surrounding them. Essentially, she's in "The Zone" and able to reach into the very depths of her soul to verbalise her emotions. Pure Art...

Valerie, first of all, let us welcome in 2021 and always remember how fragile life is and to never take anything for granted.
Love in our hearts gives us peace of mind and gives us the opportunity to enjoy life and face the challenges that lie ahead. And, I cannot think of anything better than having Angelina in our hearts along the way. Who can guess how many people she has comforted already. Most of us regard her as family and she feels the same way about us. Her thoughtfulness, her awareness exemplify who she is, genuine for all to see.
She composed Million Miles to let us know how she "feels" about her grandpa suggesting he will always be there for her and never leave her alone. But, she also composed the song in a way to provide comfort for people who had experienced similar situations.
She'll be 15 on Jan 10, 2021, and I believe she is going to become more and more recognized as a one of a kind artist. Yes, the newcomers will say she sounds like so and so but, in time, they will get to realize there is only one Angelina and she stands tall (!) among the musical giants in the world.
Hi! I´m from Sweden so I´ve listened to Angelina for some years now... I,ve also watched "Grey Wolfes" reactions to Angelina (He loves Angelina). He has covered her performaces from the start at Norways got talent and I ptretty much agree to his assessments and thats why I must recommend that you react to Angelinas cover of "I rather go blind". Wolf and I got blown away.... the ability to transmit emotion is really something I´ve not experienced on this level by anyone before Angelina - is her name a coinsidence? Very nice reaction. It is hard to believe that she is still 14. She has always presented herself and sounded older than her years when performing. We can see she's still a youth but her poise belies that fact, This video is more emotional than the lyric video because we can see and feel the emotional toll through her face. I just discovered Angelina in January through AGT but feel like I have known her for years. Through this year you have been one of my favorite reactors. As I have really run out of accolades for this magnificent young lady, I think this is worth a re-post or two. It’s really more than just her magnificent voice. How many vocalists can you name who make you “feel” their vocals in your soul, or just reach in and grab your heart, and bring you to tears every time? That’s Angelina. How many vocalists can you name who aren’t just singing to the music, but rather their voice IS the music? That’s Angelina, with her wonderful melisma, vocal fry, vibrato, and jazz stylings. That’s why Angelina is at her best when accompanied by only one or two acoustic instruments. Her humility shines also. A small curtsy or a smile at the end of an epic performance tells you how humble she is, as does her smile, wave and “bye” at the end of many private sessions like this one. So, it’s so much more than just her voice. It’s really the whole package. It's Angelia herself. She’s is truly a gift to us all - "from the universe."

Is great to see you react again after a while, and I have to say I could see and feel that it was a heartfelt reaction to Angelina as she continues to be this beautiful angel in essence, even thoug she's maturing physically and professionally we can still feel that Angel inside of her sufacing with every performance as it did when she was this cute child, which is something that not everybody gets to keep through the years, is really complicated to get to the top, but is even harder to stay there and Angelina makes it look so easy and the key is to maintain your true essence and the love for what you do burning inside yourself like a little flame that can't be put out, a time proof burning flame and never let it wear off, thanks for your beautiful reaction. The dozens of times I've watched this as a stand alone or with a channel reactor my emotions are still pushed to the brink. I am so pleased that this 14 year old (15 next month) continues to move me so. My sympathy to you for your lost loved ones. When my father unexpectedly passed back in 2005 I learned through my grief healing that he is my personal guardian angel with whom I can tune into each day with my thoughts of joy and those of tribulation. Yes, because he lives daily in my memory, he is still living as one with the Spirit of Creation. Blessings to you, Valerie.

While we all loved Angelina's "Million Miles" lyric video when it came out in November, I think this live studio version takes it to a whole new level. Seeing her sing it and hearing it without the audio enhancements is truly astounding. While the piano accompaniment is similar to the other video, replacing the string ensemble with a single cellist is a stroke of genius. The simple and emotional lines are perfect complements to Angelina's voice and style. Just curious, did you have your grief counselor watch and listen to this? It would be wonderful if she incorporated it into her practice to give the people she helps a sense of solace and hope. Always love your appreciation of Angelina. Any thoughts on why so many men my age (over 50) are drawn in by her music? She just moves me. I get drawn in emotionally to nearly every song. It’s not just the old songs and nostalgia. It’s the new material as well. Part of it is that she just presents herself so honestly. She’s not afraid to show her emotions and make us feel them with her. Not everyone gets this. I don’t know why. My wife doesn’t get her like I do.
I don't understand it either... I watch/listen to her daily and more often than not there is a tear rolling out of one of my eyes... I dont know how she does it but somehow when she sings she's telling me it's ok to feel and have emotions.... dunno I've never experienced it before!
My situation exactly, although while my wife enjoys music, she is seldom "moved" by it.
I can see your point of view, Jeffrey. By some reason men might be drawn into Angelinas voice more than ladies are. I cannot explain it either. I believe its a matter of either you like her voice or you dont. And many ladies expect more acrobatics. But men in that age have a lot of experience, heard a lot of singers and music in their lives, and perhaps understand a talent better when they see one. And dont underestimate mens need of emotional songs, their need to really feel emotions through songs. And many dont care so much for belting and reaching the higher notes. A lot of ladies around me doesnt care much for Angelina, and I can never understand why. She is the best and most pure, emotional and impressive vocalist I have ever seen, heard and known.
But as a woman in the mid 30`s, I can assure you she appeals to many of us, young, old, men or women. She is timeless and ageless, so to speak.
@@sarlina1 for my part I consider her the daughter I never had..I just want to protect her best I can..I can’t explain it either..it has to be something to do with seeing her as a small child in NGT and growing both as a person and an artist..I think men are triggered to protect and nurture children..but then so are women obviously so why the predominance of male fans? I remember watching a documentary about what men find attractive in women’s features. What was revealing is that men are attracted to women who display childlike features in their face. It baffled me until the concept of the male drive to protect is understood.
@@ctedsa2534 I’m a single guy and I can say that AJ allows me to “feel” every day..being single means that I miss having love in my life and miss the emotions that love brings (good and bad ones lol). AJ allows me to experience these feelings again.

l reaction Valarie. The Angel will soon be 15 but like you say her wisdom, integrity and the emotion she shares is one of a kind...The epidemy of a great Classical singer. Hope she continues down this road and does not fall into the "pop" world with so many "fake" singers with all the get-ups, gimmicks and nonsense.

I confess that seeing her sing, in this beautiful B / W video is absolutely wonderful, after having listened to her voice hundreds of times in the previous adorable video with the drawings of her grandmother, to see her now interpret her song with such skill, even changing it slightly is absolutely fantastic, it makes you stand there, in full admiration for her evolution, as a person and as a singer, it's impossible to break away from it. This is a very sweet and very intense song dedicated with infinite love to the missing grandfather and to all the people who have lost someone, but it's also a song full of hope, with beautiful lyrics,
