No need to worry about Angelina being corrupted by the music industry. She signed with Republic Records when she was 14 with the stipulation that she has full control of her music and there would be no promotion of her until she and her family gave the go-ahead. On top of that, Angelina has a strong character and moral foundation. She has always been wise, beyond her years. She promised to never perform with shoes when she was six years old. She has held to that promise to this day....outdoor concerts in Norway in December; huge events in her life; competition shows ... it doesn't matter.
And RR spent her own studio to create much more stuff, a complete unique artist 👍🎉

Sir, when Miss Angelina was a little girl, her maternal, japanese Grandfather took her with him into Oslo, to help the homeless community.
The streets of Oslo saw her growing up.
When he knew he was dying, he told her: " be true to yourself and you will never regret it. I will always be with you, I´ll be on the moon, see everything you do. You are never alone."
Today at 17 yo she honors her grandfather, helping the homeless community in LA DISCREETELY. This was discovered by pure chance.

Angelina Jordan came into my life when I felt battered and losing hope and she has restored my hope. Angelina and her music have improved the quality of my life more than I can express. Please read a summary of why she always performs barefoot and have tissues ready.
*Why Angelina always performs barefoot*
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. As others have said this was dedicated to her grandpa who passed in 2018. She tells us that two of the last things he said to her were that she should never regret what she does and that he’ll be watching her from the moon.

She is an amazing musician, not just a singer. Quincy Jones called her the most talented singer since Michael Jackson. Jones invited Angelina to open his 85th birthday celebration in London when she was 12. She performed Fly Me to the Moon that Jones had arranged for Frank Sinatra and the Count Basie Band. The musicians behind her are from the London Symphony and a studio big band. If you get a chance, look up the rehearsal for this performance. It is special.
Angelina remains true to herself, she doesn't need fancy light shows, no dancers just a 🎙️, a piano player, a cello, blk/whte video and her voice...THAT voice that, combined with emotion, she can reach in and give your heart a hug... she's elegant, understated, TRUTH.

Angelina wrote this song after the passing of her grandfather and has dedicated it to anyone who has experienced loss.
Angelina was 14 in this video and is currently 17. She is still the same sweet, caring and humble person she has always been since she was a little girl. She is very family oriented and has a very loving and supportive family. I don’t think we need to worry about her being ruined by the industry. Her contact with Republic Records gives her control of her career.
I’m sure others will fill you in as to why she always performs barefoot. It’s a heartwarming story and is just one of the things that makes her special.

Great reaction! Thanks! Angelina is mesmerizing vocally and with her persona! She is now 17 (will be 18 on January 10, 2024). In this video, she was 14. This song was written by her and recorded in 2020 as a memorial to her maternal grandfather who died in 2019. It was her first Republic Records recording after signing with them in August of 2020. The pianist is none other than Rob Christie himself, executive producer at Republic and 2-time Grammy winner! He, Angelina, and Angelina's family have become very close not only professionally but as friends. He has become her mentor and very protective of her, as is also her family. Angelina has her "bare feet" (always performs barefooted) firmly on the ground, a good head on her shoulders, and a loving, kind, empathetic heart. It seems over the past 10 years she's been performing in countless venues, the music industry has not eroded her yet, and I pray it never does.
You mentioned vocal coaches. The truth is Angelina is primarily self taught. As far as we know she’s never had a vocal coach. She’s had advice on how to protect her voice but that’s about it. She began studying the jazz greats by watching UA-cam videos when she was 2 or 3. Singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Louis Armstrong and others. Her biggest early influence however was Billie Holiday. In fact her first two performances on Norway’s Got Talent were Billie Holiday songs. She has said that if there wasn’t Billie Holiday there would be no Angelina Jordan.
Angelina wrote this at age 14 the video is her at 15. She’s 17 now and just dropped a 🔥 EP. The message of he EP should be an anthem for all young women!

The guy on the piano is Rob Christi, head of Republic Records. AJ's family held off signing her since she had been sought after by record companies, including Disney since she won Norway's Got Talent at 8 yo. She signed as Republic's number one priority artist. She has worked with them on the DL for 3 years. She has full artistic control, and agreed not to heavily promote her until she finishes school,which was this year. She has already put out an EP of six songs a month ago called appropriately " Old Enough". She is currently 17. I really loved seeing you react on this one. You ain't seen Nothing Yet. Oh be assured she has strong protection from her family. As far as a person, she ALWAYS performs barefoot. Someone will tell you the story. She's done " How Great Thou Art", in a scary low register at 12, the Key Elvis did it in, just saying.

Iv been a fan of this young lady for many years (10). She signed with Republic Records. I pray for her and her family and hope she has the people around her to help keep her from going the way of so many of her own heroes. She is a bright and loving young lady and I would just be heart sick if they did to her what they did to so many before. Her Family are a great source of strength for her and they have been doing a bang-up job helping to guide her so far.

good reaction welcome to angelina's world you've only scratched the surface so far she has done over 200 covers and written 11 original songs the last 6 on an EP "Old Enough" she is an amazing singer who sings jazz Billy Holiday, Etta James as well as adele, lana del ray, withney housten, elvis etc. i promise you will get hooked because no matter what she sings or what style she sings her voice is pure magic. she takes your heart out, caresses it and fills it to the brim with emotions today she is 17 years old. Absolutely stunning performance from this most amazing singer! She did a live version in Norway last year ( 16 ) and she makes her own classic so different by slowing it down.
The craziness often comes from those that have made many poor choices or find themselves in dire straights and finally get somewhere and will sign any contract to get out of the hole they've been in. Angelina has been been supported by family, friends, community, and country. Norway has excellent arts support. Her grandparents come from ancient cultures and you can see how grounded her family is. Yes, what Ryan Jacob suggested! Angelina covered Lauren Daigel’s Christian song “You Say” in a virtual Christmas Concert she did December 23, 2021, at age 15. I don’t think anyone on the planet could have done a better and more heart-melting job. It is absolutely astounding! You should definitely check it out! Also research the heartwarming true story as to why Angelina has ALWAYS performed barefoot, even in freezing weather at a Nobel Prize event or sick with a cold at a refugee charity event! Three years ago, when AJ was 14yo. Her 1st song released after she signed w/Republic Records in Aug 2020.
I don't believe it was ever "released" as the music biz would say ( or "dropped".) She and her family made a deal with Republic Records that they would wait to introduce her to the music business and the world in general was when she finished school. She was still under their care and putting out covers and tiktoks and Facebook and such .. now with her new EP called OLD ENOUGH, she really shines. The EP has two videos and 4 visualizers, that are nothing less than BRILLIANT. She wrote all the songs and got so much support from Republic, with great musicians and good tech. The visualizers are particularly good and i would recommend every single person to hear them cause they are super great.
