When Jordan 1st appeared on Norway's talent show at the age of 4-5 one of the judges told her parents to make sure they stayed on top of her career & not let anyone take over control of it. When she appeared on Simon Cowell's show there was a problem because all contestants are supposed to sign a contract with one of his companies & her parents refused. That's why some of her videos, from her appearance on that show, disappeared from UA-cam.

OMG, I thought I was the only one! I lost my mom to cancer when I was 26, and she immediately started coming to me in my dreams. She came quite often. 20 years later, I lost my father, who had been my touchstone. When I lost him, I lost that link to my mom, the house I grew up in, everything just fell apart for me emotionally. He didn’t come to me in my dreams for a really long time. I think he knew I wasn’t ready and couldn’t handle it. Years later, after I’d gone through all the stages, he finally came one night. I woke up crying, but I was at peace with it. I remember telling my husband, after I woke up in tears, that he’d finally come to me and told me that they were happy and I was going to be okay.
This was all her, She wrote it and OMG she just set the bar and its a Million miles over what most of her so called Peers are putting out. In this case, the princess with bare feet and a golden voice. As some may have already added, this original AJ song was written in honor of the memory of her grandparents. But I would like to add a very personal appreciation. This appearance marked Angelina's return to the media, after a terrible year for the entire planet and for her career. She had just participated in AGT The Champions version, she had marked a milestone with her interpretations, everyone imagined that her career would take off to outer space ... and the pandemic struck. I feel that her instinct for empathy told her that you couldn't "just take everything back", as if nothing had happened (like many other artists did), but that you had to start by paying respect to all those who suffered greatly from this global misfortune that still does not leave us. That it was necessary to remember the suffering of those who left and those who stayed. Perfect is correct. Just like when you said how much you liked Close to the Edge, you see perfection. Angelina just shocks me every time. She has abilities that surpass mortals. I've seen other singers that age that were content with their abilities without much drive to improve on it. But that idea seems not something fitting into her way of thinking. I hope she'll be able to retain most of that drive despite the grind that touring will be.

And it was her showing passion for music,not her parents pushing. @@clemson1889 while I don’t doubt this is truly her..the issue is that she is not unique and sounds quite like a lot of the “current” singers..think of the 70’s and 80’s there was quite the range of singers from Carly Simon to Madonna..no two sounded the same..now everyone wants to sound like either Adell or Arianna Grand with auto tune.

No autotune, actual instruments etc. I don't care for Madonna or Ariana Grande. Absolutely love Carly Simon, Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nix, Carole King, and Joanie Mitchell. Some might say a few of those sounded alike in those days. I think it happens with every generation of music. The thing that I like most about Angelina, is that she writes her own music, lyrics, and when she does covers she personally changes the arrangements. No karaoke nonsense. This song aside, her primary genre is jazz. The link I posted is jazz. However, she can sing just about anything beautifully. I discovered her music when she was around six years old. If you happen to enjoy jazz, it's worth checking out her catalogue. I would be very surprised that she lands with souding like everyone else, and certainly not her record label: Republic Records. Maybe because the song is very Adele. Her voice is actually very adaptable and often described as unique when she was younger and independent. I feared being signed might take control of her style, which was previously very jazz-oriented. Sadly, the bean-counters at her label are bound to be less enamoured with jazz than she or her current fanbase. It has been a year but she is still first and foremost a schoolgirl and part-time recording artist, so the jury remains in recess awaiting further evidence.

@@clemson1889 while I don’t doubt this is truly her..the issue is that she is not unique and sounds quite like a lot of the “current” singers..think of the 70’s and 80’s there was quite the range of singers from Carly Simon to Madonna..no two sounded the same..now everyone wants to sound like either Adell or Arianna Grand with auto tune.
@@blueknight5754 I understand your perspective and was born in the 60s, have performed vocal baroque, jazz, and classical pieces. I love the music and the vocalists from the 70s and prior. No autotune, actual instruments etc. I don't care for Madonna or Ariana Grande. Absolutely love Carly Simon, Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nix, Carole King, and Joanie Mitchell. Some might say a few of those sounded alike in those days. I think it happens with every generation of music.
The thing that I like most about Angelina, is that she writes her own music, lyrics, and when she does covers she personally changes the arrangements. No karaoke nonsense.
This song aside, her primary genre is jazz. The link I posted is jazz. However, she can sing just about anything beautifully.
I discovered her music when she was around six years old.
If you happen to enjoy jazz, it's worth checking out her catalogue. I would be very surprised that she lands with souding like everyone else, and certainly not her record label: Republic Records.

Maybe because the song is very Adele. Her voice is actually very adaptable and often described as unique when she was younger and independent. I feared being signed might take control of her style, which was previously very jazz-oriented. Sadly, the bean-counters at her label are bound to be less enamoured with jazz than she or her current fanbase. It has been a year but she is still first and foremost a schoolgirl and part-time recording artist, so the jury remains in recess awaiting further evidence.
