I just tested my Argon X limbs two days ago. These are my specs: Argon X 25" riser Argon X 40lbs 70" foam core limbs Phoenix 1500 30"/15" stabilizers W&W 3" extender Shibuya Dual Click Carbon sight FF 20 strand String Fivics Airex Plunger Fivic FiveX 600,550 spines crosshairs&ZOMBIE experimental prototype grip I have previously shot their Titan EX limbs. The Argon X limbs are shockingly quiet. You have to try them paired with the Argon X riser, it is possibly the best feeling bow that I have ever shot to date. It is advisable to shoot the bow with ZERO tiller difference. Depending on the distribution of the hook of your fingers, adjust the tiller until you notice an improvement in the vertical groups at your desired shooting distance (if you use more ring finger hook, consider going slightly negative on the tiller, meaning a higher tiller measurement on the bottom limb than the top). You might notice a slight increase in the speed, and that is due to the lighter mass of the limbs. It also has a slightly more aggressive reflex which gives it that nice stable draw from brace to anchor with reduced vertical oscillation during the process. To achieve the silent shot, make sure the tiller bolts' adjustments correspond to the brace height ( for a setting with bolts turned further into the riser, a lower brace height can be used, and vice versa).
Sounds like a killer setup. Myself I'm currently shooting the 27" Argon-X with medium Titan EX Foam limbs and the Fornix 14 stabilizers. I'm honestly nowhere near good enough to really notice an improvement over a cheaper bow, but that said, I did break my personal best on the 18 m 300 round within a week of getting it.
for me the argon x27 looks like it might just be the perfect bow for oly recurve. Though i'll probably try out the argon x limbs first. Not sure what's up with fivics but the wait times are still rediculous , unless it's magically in stock (wich it isn't) the wait time is +12weeks 😔. I was thinking of pairing the argon x with some mckinney 2's and have a dedicated 70/90m setup, but by the looks of things it'll be 2024 season. Gives me proper time to work on form to do the bow justice so won't have any excuses there at least. 🤣
After advice, I’m going to use a Samick discovery for 3D, using a rest and plunger, where can I buy a string clicker, s is a Shibuya plunger good, any advice will be good.coming from a compound
I loved the Vellator - very light. I shot it for almost one year. I think the finish on the Argon X is better. The Vellator is a thinner grip which I liked. I thought it did not make much sense a shot owner shooting a mid priced riser.
The Winex was the top of the line riser a few years ago and it is fine. The ATF and ATFX are just newer models. It is very hard to tell any difference in feel or scores. The Fivics is very different. I like the Wnex riser - I just think you might as well jump up if you are close to that price point.
It's getting rarer, but some of the best archers in my country, including multiple-time olympians, still do. The biggest downside is probably that your sight marks will suffer a bit, so if you're struggling to reach 70 metres it's really not recommended.
put some spider legs on your string and it will take out all the noise and vibration, you will notice no difference in the arrow speed or the way it shoots,, i promice you will like it...
Spoken like a diehard Trad Archer. I can promise you he wouldn't like it, because the recurve bow would then not comply with World Archery rules for use in competition, so he couldn't use the bow to compete in any Archery Australia or World Archery event
@@timh9246 ok- i did not know that, i guess he will just have to listen to it twang and viberate weather he likes it or not then, all bows do it, they shur have some stoopid rules when it comes 2 some of this stuff..

Thank you - I have been shooting well with the Titan limbs - waiting on the Argon X limbs - Fivics are out of stock. But sounds good.
Looks like a quality looking setup!
Hoyt Xi / Exceed and Wiawis ATF X are also 6061 Aluminium. MK use 7075.
I think cheaping out on the plunger caused the flyers in the red. 👍🙂
Ripping the Centre Mate!

I’ve ordered an argon riser 27 too, after 3 months it hasn’t arrived yet… do you get your riser or are you still waiting?
@@DoppiaVoce i got a Gillo G1 instead
Steven, do you think you'll be posting a review video of the PSE Embark (Nock On)?

what are the size for a riser in the recurve bows thanks
What you're using is the Titan EX limb. 2 generations before the Titan NX.
The Current Titan EX limbs Green ones.
Did you like the Vellator V2? Is there anything that you would look at buying that is in the same category as it?

Have you shot the W&W Winex (the new version)? Maybe compare it to the ATF?

Curious, do the higher end Fivics riser wooden grips fit onto the Vellator riser?
No.
can you shoot 3 under in this class?
You can, rare to see though.
I want to say the Fin's had some very good shooters with 3 fingers under.
There's nothing stopping you, but look at every olympian/serious competitor and they'll be shooting split finger.

You've completely mixed up Argon-X, Titan EX and Titan NX limbs mate... Use notes jeez... The NX have 3K carbon, like the Titan EX you're shooting...
lol
