Honestly I didn't think it would be a problem, and it felt natural up until I was editing the video. Probably will switch to something a bit more intuitive next time ^-^;;

Yiiiiikes. Okay, this disturbingly lines up just how many series there really are out this season. No wonder so many can go under the radar for people. There are crazy amounts each season now.
Man I really gotta say, these uploads the last couple of weeks have been pretty good. Really loving the frequent uploads and consistency. No idea if I've just been unintentionally ignoring you in my sub feed, or if you've just started to do things differently. Either way I'm here for it now.
Seriously, he's been working his butt off on bringing us all this info and I'm a big fan of it. Don't overwork yourself, but we certainly thank you for all the new content you've been bringing to us!
I have enjoyed a few otome isekai anime and absolutely loved one of them, but I will not endorse the genre or call it amazing. it has the same problem as isekai overall and that is that there is way too much chaff that isn't even passable in the genre. Anime studios seem to be somewhat discriminating since the ones that get an anime adaptation are often the good ones... but I suspect that within 3 years 70% of the ones they pick will get a low score from both me personally and MAL (as a whole) and the rate of passable manga in this genre is much lower. That said, you really don't need to go watch the _average_ anime of a genre, people usually pick the ones they like the most.
The legend of heroes is a pretty big game series and the anime takes place I think around the time of the 6th to 9th game. So makes sense that someone who never played the games would probably be lost with this anime
really appreciate you making these, i personally haven't been able to get back into regular anime watching as adulthood has just whooped my ass. but having people like you run down everything and really share what's going on in the anime landscape help me keep up, and choose what to watch when i do have the motivation to.
Regarding Nier, it's already combining A and B because we're seeing both 2B and 9S' point of view. The hacking and the one robot trying to give the bucket of oil to its "big brother" are both from B, for example.
The Legend of Heroes anime... It's important to note that this anime is based on a key event in Trails history. The trails series is a game series known as Kiseki in Japan. This anime takes place near the end of the events of Cold Steel 2, the 7th game in the franchise.
Please keep this format for every season. With so much anime coming out its hard to keep track or know what is good. I know you have a format were you talk about anime coming out for an upcoming season but your recommendation makes it easier to go watch a certain show if it catches my attention.
I can't believe Kaina of the Great Snow Sea got tossed! I am really intrigued by the show so far. It gives me a sense of adventure, discovery, and nostalgia. It feels like an anime with a story to tell, and I am very much looking forward to it.
And when I say nostalgia, it sort of reminds me of how I felt when watching Nausica, Now and Then, Here and There, or even Made in Abyss (without the dire tone).
Agreed. It's probably #1 or #2 in term of interesting fantasy world building this season. Only The Fire Hunter is of the same caliber. Kaina is way above something like Ars and miles ahead of pretty much all the isekai this season. You maybe have Nier or Trigun in term of sci-fi as competition. It's actually an interesting take on apocalypse, post high tech world and fantasy world building with the insects and nearly feudal fights. And the animation is perfectly fine and the incredible set design easily compensates for the usual CGI jankiness
My watch list this season is Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady, The Ice Guy and his Cool Female Colleague, UniteUp!, Nijiyon, Technoroid Overmind, Ippon Again, D4DJ season 2. Buddy Daddies and Endou and Kobayashi Live are on "if I have enough time" tier, and I'm really hoping we get Hirogaru Sky Precure, because Crunchyroll is teasing us again. (Last year, they didn't announce that they'd gotten Delicious-Party Precure until *one hour* before the first episode aired.)
This is the first time I've watched this kind of video and actually felt like the person was giving honest recommendations from what they've watched and not just either reading off a synopsis or memeing up a show with what the internet thinks about it. Thanks! Definitely look forward to watching if you do this again.
Please keep up this level of content, Arkada! I’ve been watching your stuff for (at least) 10 years now and you’ve directed me to some of the best storytelling experiences of my life. Loving the new pace of content, you’ve always been king of quality with GR frosty reviews, and now you’re adding high quantity/volume. Love it! I’ve always wanted more reviews and opinions from you so it’s great to see this new chapter of your channel! 😁
Thank you for making this video Arkada! This list will greatly help me in my pursuit of Anime enjoyment this season, I've enjoy a lot of your recommendations over the years and appreciate your Frostyness in this video as well!
A couple notes: Inglis (Reborn to master the sword) was reincarnated within his same world some unknown time in the future, where it seems his country and the magic knowledge of that time has been forgotten. The MC from Farming in Another world actually has quite the libido as that is the reason for Lu recruiting Tia into their village and then later was one of the reason that Tia went to recruit the Elves.
Thanks for this video! As an adult with adult responsibilities (yikes) it's really hard to even stay on track with what's new, let alone find some time to figure out whether it's worth watching, so this type of content is immensely helpful!
I appreciate the fact that you watched each of them and am able to give a more comprehensive and informed discussion of the new anime this season! Though I'm actually really loving The Angel Next Door this season.
been following you for a literal decade now (..though I've commented twice at best. Trying to be better.) Thanks for the reviews! I've been struggling finding stuff between the swarm of isekais and tired mcs. Good health to you!
I would like to applaud you to have made a video with 35 news animes and to have something to say about them. I also did a marathon with friends and we just got tired after a while and the fun/patience goes away if we fell on shows that were less to someone's personnal taste. The video was great and fun to watch! The opinions you made are great to try something people haven't considered yet to try. Great work :)
I see the Ice blade sorcerror shall rule the world as following Full metal Panic Sagura for story progression than any of the fantasy routes. Since it seems to be the story of him adjusting to life away from the battlefield while having people to protect sending back to it. The school part does not matter. But I do agree its best watched if your fine with average effort.
Onimai strongest new show of the season. It doesn't do the "huhehe time to go into the ladies dressing room" thingy. On the contrary, it has a scene where the main character is forced to enter a ladies dressing room, and BAM nothing but old grannys. Instead, its focus on forming a bond with his/her sister, and slowly acclimating back into society is very feel good.
Yeah, Onimai has quickly become one of my favorite anime of all time. Not enough anime have actual character growth like this one does, but even if it didn't, I'd say its cute enough to potentially rival any slice of life anime I've seen short of gochiusa.
As a manga reader, I found the story began to really grab me once Mahiro's social circle grew past his sister and her friend Kaede. Not that it was bad before that, just that it really helps the series to not be "in this chapter we have X hijink". I haven't had a chance to catch up on the anime yet, but I'm gratified to see it gathering an audience.
And when he's in the girls' changing room at school he says he feels like a criminal (it's middle school and he's an adult man, after all) and tries his hardest to not look. Mahiro is actually a very kind character and nowhere near as perverted as you'd expect a 20 year old eromanga enthusiast to be.
While I’m not exactly “looking” since I’m already watching seven anime this season (which is a lot for me since I have a full-time job), here are my thoughts on the ones I’m watching… The Fire Hunter - This anime has captivated me. I haven’t seen a show with this sort of art style and tone since From the New World…and that came out a decade ago. If The Fire Hunter is even remotely in the same ballpark as From the New World, this show is gonna be one of my favorites because FTNW might be my favorite anime of all-time. It’s just a shame that this series isn’t getting more attention because I think it has the potential to be the AOTY contender. Chillin’ in My 30s - I’ll be honest, I normally don’t watch this sort of show, but as a 30s anime viewer that has watched shows that have mostly characters in their teens or early 20s, I was curious what a show starring a 30+ year old MC would be like. I thought the show would suck, but to be frank, it’s actually not bad at all. It has made me chuckle quite a few times and I do find it hilarious that apparently everyone in the Demon Army loves Dariel and the only one that wanted to fire him was the prick son of the guy who adopted him. Trigun Stampede - I’m actually a Trigun fan and…I actually disagree with your statement that old Trigun fans might hate this (at least in my case). I’m actually enjoying this series more than the original (so far). I honestly would have been more disappointed if it was a carbon copy of the 90s anime. Why? Because I’ve seen the 90s anime already. I don’t want to watch it again. I’m interested that Stampede is telling the same story, but in a different way. It’s actually making the series somewhat unpredictable, which is better than seeing the same show in 3D. Nier Automata 1.1a - This is probably the one anime that I’m sitting on the fence the most about dropping. Not that I think it’s bad, but I don’t know how much it’s going to deviate from the game…or what routes it’s going to adapt…or which ending it’s going to adopt. I do think it’s visually stunning and it’s soundtrack is as outstanding as I expected. To be blunt, the only show that I am even considering to add to my list that already has Vinland Saga, Bungo Stray Dogs and To Your Eternity is Tomo-Chan is a Girl…and it’s not really got anything that was explained in this video, it’s just some clips from the show posted on Crunchroll’s UA-cam channel have had me physically laughing. Made me laugh enough to strongly consider it.
As much as I want more of Magical Revolution Princess or whatever the full name is, I like the slower pacing a lot, because it really manages to convince how Euphelia recovers from the emotional damage done to her and get confident with Anisphia.
absolutely, a worse show would speed to the action. I didn't mind all the talking because it was necessary for Euphie's character, and for her choices regarding the dragon fight to land. We had to see her angsting, feeling that lack of purpose, and have Anis gently ease her out of it, and inspire her to actually take action. because while Anis is the head-liner character, she doesn't change much, and Euphie's the dynamic one whose feelings and choices end up mattering.
Its nice to see you getting back into stride. I have been a fan of this channel for many years now and I watch it because we have the same tastes in Anime. Please do more episodes like this at the beginning of each season. ^_^ Keep up the good work !
It's been many years since I've seen you. Actually I straight up forgot about you for some time. Then I saw this video in my recommendeds. Happy to see that you are still doing anime stuff here on youtube. Probably won't watch many of your videos, but it's still nice to see you again. Keep up the good work.
My favourite this season is definitely Giant Beasts of Ars! Love the worldbuilding, characters and soundtrack! The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady is also really fun. I’m normally not into this type of anime so I was pleasantly surprised.
Keep up the good work! This helps immensely when I'm trying to form my own list of anime to watch. I even come across anime I didn't know I needed to watch so thank you.
This was SOO helpful! I've added 3 new series to my list because of your concise and well thought out reviews of these series. Huge thanks for being able to bring us all this info.
I must say. I have been watching you since like the beginning of your career on UA-cam. I think you found gold with this “series” if you make this a regular thing every season.
I think, “Kaina of the Great Snow Sea” was woefully underrated. It’s a unique fantasy series that doesn’t take place in a generic medieval setting. I urge others to take a second look at this series.
Thank you for tackling this! It’s rly hard for me to find a space on the internet that tackled all the first episodes like I do. Also.. you are one of my top anime UA-camrs and the fact that it’s you who is doing this video and the recent news video is such a breathe of fresh air. I’m going to see if I am able to contribute through pattern. Hang in there and don’t do too much, but please know this content is great!
I promise the handyman in another world anime gets a lot more interesting! Once you learn about the characters pasts. It actually caught me by surprise many times! It’s getting more interesting every episode! Also Saito can’t magically fix everything. In one episode one of his favorite tools gets broken and he has to hunt for someone to help fix it. He isn’t some magic character that can pull out tools out of his hat that they need in the moment. He has limited stuff. And he has to ask for help. The wizard has memory issues so he helps him with remembering spells. Saito has no Magic powers. He does not know everything. Yeah he is great at picking locks but often locks and chests have curses in them or booby traps. He has to realize that his use is not only based off the tools he has. And he does not need to fix things to be useful to others. He is a essential part of the group even though he can’t do magic or cure Morlock’s back. Or help with a curse a character has. But he can help morlock memorize his spells. And he can make a useful backpack for the fairy and he can fix armor. He isn’t a over powered protagonist, he gets hurt and he can’t solve everything. It’s a very enjoyable show. Also I promise there are no weird scenes between the berserker and Morlock or the fairy. I promise. Now I will get into SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS So like the fairy character the reason why she is so obsessed with money is due to a curse on her kind where they become weaker and smaller every full moon if they don’t give money to a god. There is no way to reverse it. That is why she is obsessed with gold. Because she has suffered. And the berserker is Morlock’s grand daughter, and also she is his care taker. Morlock used to be more powerful but now he has a lot of memory issues, also with every episode there is more plot. Like saito just found a piece of human technology in a dungeon and he is trying to hunt to find how it got there. There is a lot of character growth.
Looking forward to your full take on Stampede. Your recommendation way back when is what got me to watch (and love) the original adaptation, so it would be cool to see a "where are we now" update. As someone who's seen the OG multiple times and read the full manga several times as well, I'm enjoying Stampede. It's different, yet still Trigun enough to keep me in. Plus the dub is enjoyable with having JYB back by itself lol.
Thank you for positively mentioning Mou Ippon! (Ippon Again) The series is so overlooked, yet the realness of the characters and the premise made me connect with it better than with anything else this season. It is definitely my favourite new anime of the season - well, together with MagiRevo, which just combines a couple of elements I absolutely love.
You got like 80% of the synopsis for Endo and Kobayashi Live. The other 20% is that the high schoolers want to use their commentary to prevent a bad end for the Villainess, and for everyone in the game. Also, Sieg is the only one who currently can hear them.
JUST A HUGE NOTE: the male lead in Tomo Chan is a Girl isn't thick headed. To spoil a very little bit, he does know she's a girl. He just doesn't want their relationship to change, because he's afraid of what that would mean. He also doesn't know that she likes him in that way. And his feelings for her deepen as well.
man, ive watched videos from you for so many years now. longer than a lot of friendships. just super surreal. im glad youre still kickin it with a good attitude. i do miss the edward elric hair tho haha, dw you still look sharp as is. cheers for the content
I really appreciate the takes you have on these animes. I used to watch them by the boatload but I've been to busy to try and venture into more quirky or unique anime. I have a couple now to start for my lunches so thank you.
13:28 : Nonbiri Nouka: there is a subtle but pretty obvious reference to at least Ru doing with him everything that a married couple does. Ignoring other subtle references, when Tia arrives she straight up says that "Her body can't take it/wouldn't last".
This might be pedantic, but slight corrections to Reborn to Master the Blade, and Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World. You said that they feature reincarnating from one fantasy world to another, but this is inaccurate In the first one, it is the same fantasy world, just rendered unrecognizeable through the passage of time. In the second, the world the protagonist comes from is supposedly our world in the past (although I guess you could call it a fantasy world). his abilities are based on Japanese folklore
These shows fall into the "it's technically not Isekai but...come on, it's fucking Isekai" reborn genre that Mother's Basement touched upon. Carrying all the tropes from Isekai shows but in the most technical sense not being a literla jump to a "different" world.
Excellent content! Thank you for making this video twice and for putting in the effort to watch ALL the new shows airing this winter season. You reviewed a few that I didn't realize were available and am interested in watching. Your glowing recommendation for Kino's Journey and Aria (years ago) introduced me to incredible shows and I've trusted your opinion implicitly ever since. I always enjoyed your content prior as well. Thank you, sincerely.
Am I the only one who thinks that Jun (male protag from Tomo) is not as oblivious as he lets on? Idk it just seemed to me that he was very much aware of her but trying not to be so that their current relationship won't change.
I’m so over the moon about Ippon! I’ve been practicing judo for years and its such a wonderful sport. I wish it was more popular in america. Hopefully this show helps with that!
I’m keeping myself to 6 anime, 1 less than in the fall season, that I’ll continue for this season from which one has already been delayed until further notice (Nier), and among this plethora of great shows the one that so far stands out to me the most is not Vinland saga (even though it IS the best one airing currently), not Bungo stray dogs, but Tensei Oujo. I’ve been reading the novel for a bit before the anime started and the adaptation honestly has me baffled at times with how they carefully craft this precious relationship of the two MCs and the subtle worldbuilding and combine it with some great visuals and OST for the extra emotional oomph. I remember thinking that the LN was fun to read but nothing to special so this show really caught me off guard. The last two weeks I genuinely thought that the show put out the best episode of the week and if they handle the coming one this Thursday just as well then - knowing what’s to come - there’s a chance we might get a contender for best episode of the season already. Also Kubo-san is an incredibly wholesome show that I for one put above the similar Takagi-San, simply for the fact that Shiraishi is a more likeable character than Nishikata in my eyes
@Glass Reflection I'd like to request one thing: You end your segments about a given anime with the name of the anime as well. That way we don't have to rewind to get the name, if they sound interesting. I know. Very minor deal. Hardly worth mentioning. But still, it would be helpful.
OH Hell yeah! That Card Captor jab! I knew a guy who liked to watch magical girl animes. I ... was envious of him, because he looked to be having a lot of fun. Great list so far 👍 This is a lot of hard work!
Cant wait to see the new Trigun, I loved the original so I'd like to see what they did in this new show. Personally some of the changes I've seen so far dont bother me, it's best that they go for what works for them rather then stress over something that's difficult to animate.
Very nice recap, love it! Pass and toss is sounf quite similar. So maybe notify everyone just a bit in the next video, so they dont confuse one with the other. ;)
My top newcomer this season is easily Tensei Ojou, I love the dynamic between the two leads, and Anis is an absolute gremlin that I love. Campfire Cooking and Farming Isekai are next on my list, both are super chill vibes I can just relax and enjoy. Reborn to Master the Blade is up there too, gotta love battle junkie girl! My last would be Onmyouji Isekai, I'm enjoying the sneaky shenanigans he pulls to extrapolate from the existing magic system.
He could save time by classing each anime back story. type 1 - hit by a truck and wakes up in new world after getting power from goddess. type 2 - fired from heroes party. type 3 - tired of being adventurer and deciding to live a slow life. you can even mix and match. An AI could write these shows.
Just started watching your content. 3 months on and you "tossed" some absolute epic shows. Do you ever go back? Would be interesting to see a "was I right to pass/toss" video.
17:00 Probably should mention that everyone except Gigguk has mispronounced Mononogatari’s name since we’re all used to the Monogatari series, Ore Monogatari, or Heike Tale. There’s a second “no” in the title because (I’m assuming) it’s a portmanteau or Mononoke and Monogatari, meaning that the title means “Monster Tale” (Just like BakeMonogatari, but that’s not important).
LOL when I read that Manga and saw the King saying. "Dam I'm cute, the goddess was not wrong rb me into a girl". I laughed so hard and said, "welcome to every MMO player shenanigans at end game".
- The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady: masterpiece imo, adapting so well. One of the best new anime of the season and I love it. But I also am biased to the sources. - Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte: love this so much, great. Read the source too, so I know a good bit coming. It's so cute. One of the best tsundere in ALL OF ANIME! - Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire: Good fun times, battle maniac main character that's fun. Worth reading. - TRIGUN STAMPEDE: While the pacing I have some issues with, I don't hate it like other people. It's been quite good so far. Knives is far more terrifying than the OG anime. I have not read the manga. - NieR:Automata Ver1.1a: A solid Nier adaption/whatnot. Pity at the delays... - Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement: Compulsive liar in another world. It's fun, it's nothing bad, nothing great. Just light fun. - ONIMAI: I'm Now Your Sister!: Some might hate it cause it seems subjective, but it's actually really fun and wholesome (Have read the manga) and it's about a shut in opening up and getting out in the story. - The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten: It's cute rom com, nothing great, nothing bad. - Tomo-chan Is a Girl!: It's cute/fun, think the subreddit overhyped it, but it's good. - Nngen Fushin: seems fine... but it can feel very terrible in pacing and feels like stuff is cut. Hearing from a friend who has read a good bit of the LN, yea, they are kinda skipping things/pacing issues. Sad. But it's not terrible. I will talk about the sequels/whatnot: - The Misfit of Demon King Academy II: More great misfit fun in all its craziness, I'm on board. - BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. 2: Maple continues to be adorable and it's fun. Love it and the side characters. - VINLAND SAGA Season 2: Another top tier anime of the season, WE FARMIN, BOYS AND GALS AND ALL OTHERS! It's... it hits man. - By the Grace of the Gods Season 2: Very light, fluff, nothing great, but not offensive. - DON'T TOY WITH ME, MISS NAGATORO 2nd Attack: More nagatoro, more fun teasing, but more cute clearly into each other and being shy about it. Good times. - Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? IV Deep Chapter: Calamity Arc: HOLY SHIT IT'S GOING HARD THIS COUR! Love it. - Eminence in Shadow: One of my favorite Isekai, have been reading the source, really love it. The source is even funnier than the anime, but the anime does a good job with comedy and even better for the action. It's great isekai satire while also being serious. I don't watch the others, many of them are ones I might wanna binge later, but nothing I'm gonna get to right now cause too many I'm keeping up with.
Btw, Magical Revolution's pacing is good, it's a lot of character development and such going on. Euphie has a lot to go through, yo. And it's not "yuri vibes", it's full yuri :P
This season i am watching ''Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko'', ''Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta. (uncensored)'', ''Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko season 2'', ''Vinland Saga season 2'', ''Danmachi season 4 part 2'', ''NieR: Automata Ver 1.1a'', ''Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi'', ''Ooyukiumi no Kaina'' and i don't intend to drop anything. I will see what else i add to my list. Edit: So sad for NieR. Third episode was the best and got me excited for more and then i heard about delay.
For the legend of Heroes one, it's going side by side with a series of game. "Legend of heroes, trails in the sky" and "Legend of heroes, trails of cold steel (1, 2 & 3)" but yeah, there's a massive world setting with several nations at war in each other, the point of view of both sides, and a ton of political maneuvering, I've got more that 130h just on Trails of Cold Steel 1, so it's a huge timesink, expecially if you're not that intrigued to begin with.
I'm personally loving Ice Guy since rom coms that feature adults in an adult work place setting are so damn rare you'd think they were unicorns of anime. i am eating this show up!
Any FARMING tool specifically. It can become a scythe or sickle but that's the most weapon like it gets; it also cannot become say a pair of Lock snips or something else not associated with basic farming needs. Its just perfect examples of such and in the case of the Hoe form it kills while turning stuff to soil so not exactly perfect as a weapon. Plus who can argue with an eventual cast of 30+ waifus and counting.
Kaina of the Great Snow Sea, and Sugar Apple Fairy Tail have both held my attention and made me look forward to the next episode! I like their distinct styles and original fantasy world settings.
Angel Next Door is exactly my type of show. It's wish fulfilly, sure, unrealistic and coincidences all around, but it's cute, and I like the main leads, so it's kinda my fave of the season
Once you learn about her family, it totally makes sense that she would bond with him and want to take care of him. Light novels were more entertaining than I thought they would be. Love that he has parents that love him and that is why they are letting him live on his own.
Trigun is one of my 1st anime series purchases. But it's been sitting on my shelf for almost 25 years now. I have forgotten most of the story. So watching the remake probably won't bother me so much.
Your concerns with Onimai are valid, idk if you are caught up but there are several touching scenes that happen in the show thus far, such as Mahiro making Mihari some porridge while she was sick, was very cute and sweet. The theme of redemption (which Bind's last work mushoku tensei, leveraged greatly), is with this shut-in being dragged out of his bubble and gaining friends and doing things he would never have done. The show is def not for everyone, but I'm def enjoying it for those reasons.
Onii-chan is Done for has a different vibe in the manga vs the anime. Much more obviously wholesome and less lewd, with a chapter that was skipped that showed Mahiro maturing.
took me longer than i'd like to admit that "pass" in this video actually means that you are green lighting it, and continuing
Honestly I didn't think it would be a problem, and it felt natural up until I was editing the video.
Probably will switch to something a bit more intuitive next time ^-^;;
Well considering that "pass" usually means "skip", i thought that all these "passes" were "skips".
Haha same! Was trying to puzzle out "a tentative pass" meaning you are putting it down but may pick up again?
@@GlassReflection And when you say that something is "a toss"…?
Hahaha! Same for me. Pass ✅ or Toss❌

Thank you so much!
Patreon Shout Outs blew my mind. Best show I've seen in recent years.
Villainess/otome isekai is an amazing subgenre. It has it's own problems but the gems in it are genuinely so insanely good. Your Throne is PEAK
Amazingly shit and overdone for how niche it is.
Your Throne is indeed one of the best. Hopefully it'll get an anime one day...
For those confused:
Pass = good ✅; Toss = bad ❌
thank you 😊
I'm like bro why is he not smashing?
Weird, Pass usually means Skip
This does not have good choice on anime,
He is tossing even good shows like nothing matters,
And even giving pass to some comparable bad shows
@@mdhasiburrahman8806 It's called having an opinion.
This anime takes place near the end of the events of Cold Steel 2, the 7th game in the franchise.
this. those who didn't play the game could not understand the plot.
Onimai is entirely wholesome, heartwarming, and has god-tier animation, since it's made by Studio Bind (Mushoku Tensei).
It's a good show, unfortunately people nowadays don't have the patience to watch anything that's not uber duber mind blowing in the first 3 episodes
It's wild its like dropping blame after 3 chapters
And when I say nostalgia, it sort of reminds me of how I felt when watching Nausica, Now and Then, Here and There, or even Made in Abyss (without the dire tone).
@@ssarellas For me I just didn't enjoy it as much as other things this season
Ahhh! Thank you! I've already started the farming one, but there's so much more! Thank you, and I hope you enjoy and stay frosty too!
About "Angel next door" I had no expectations at all, but it has quickly become one of my favorites animes. I highly recommend it.
Out of the Isekai's this season, Campfire cooking and strongest exorcist are the most enjoyable to me.
Edit: Handyman is pretty chill too.
Onimai is really wholesome. It has some sus but the wholesomeness eclipses it
Studio Bind are killing it with this series! I know that Rudeus would be on board lol for all the wrong reasons.
yeah, it has a lot of "Anime being anime" moments but there is a wholesome story at its core. it also has pretty good animation.
13:28 "Our protagonist has a libido of zero"
Heh.
If you know you know.
"i would not be surprised if they suddenly burst out in song like an idol band in High Card"
High Card Ending Sequence: *sweating profusely*
Thanks for this video! As an adult with adult responsibilities (yikes) it's really hard to even stay on track with what's new, let alone find some time to figure out whether it's worth watching, so this type of content is immensely helpful!
I appreciate the fact that you watched each of them and am able to give a more comprehensive and informed discussion of the new anime this season! Though I'm actually really loving The Angel Next Door this season.
yeah the angel next door makes me smile while watching, it's a very warm and fuzzy show
My current hit shows of the season are: High Card, Kaina of the Great Snow Sea, Giant Beasts of Ars, and revenger
been following you for a literal decade now (..though I've commented twice at best.
100% my anime of the season, also the animation is bloody incredible
Its so gratifying to see all this Onimai love on this comment thread!
While I’m not exactly “looking” since I’m already watching seven anime this season (which is a lot for me since I have a full-time job), here are my thoughts on the ones I’m watching…
The Fire Hunter - This anime has captivated me.
Thanks!
Keep up the good work.
been a while since I stopped by, thanks for the video
For anyone who hasnt watched buddy daddies, do yourself a favor and watch buddy daddies.
I promise.
Now I will get into SPOILERS
SPOILERS
SPOILERS
SPOILERS
So like the fairy character the reason why she is so obsessed with money is due to a curse on her kind where they become weaker and smaller every full moon if they don’t give money to a god.
Handyman Saitou got so good this past week with Morlock’s backstory.
No joke Campfire cooking anime has me hooked and I’m really looking forward to o next episode. The opening song is addictingly catchy!
High Card is probably my favourite so far. It's like Kingsman with magic, it's stylish asf.
Manners maketh man
not my favorite yet because i haven't picked one but definitely up there as well, it's so much fun.. not to mention LAP today ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
You said that they feature reincarnating from one fantasy world to another, but this is inaccurate
In the first one, it is the same fantasy world, just rendered unrecognizeable through the passage of time.
@@jacobwilliams1223 Great now i have to think of "Back to the Future" as an Isekai LOL
@@IN-tm8mw I mean, can you really call Back to the Future an Isekai? They portray incest as something actually concerning in that movie XD

I didn't know that Endo and Kobayashi became an anime!!! I'm so excited for this!!!
Yeah, he totally knows, he's just afraid of changing the dynamic and possibly losing her as a friend. He's not as dense as he initially seems.
Exactly, I don't think he's thick, just conflicted.
He's not thick headed he just lives in denial lol
They made that pretty clear by episode 2. Don’t think you’d figure that out in episode 1 tho
@@BlazingRaptor fair. If he only watched 1st ep then understandable he wouldnt get that impression.
@Glass Reflection
I'd like to request one thing: You end your segments about a given anime with the name of the anime as well. That way we don't have to rewind to get the name, if they sound interesting.
I know. Very minor deal. Hardly worth mentioning. But still, it would be helpful.
Been loving Trigun Stampede so far. The vibes are similar but it's not repetitive.

This is a lot of hard work!
I was just here for your take on Trigun Stampede and stayed for the whole video 👍🏻
He did not notice that Mononogatari is Mono no gatari, not just mono gatari.
There are two no's.
thanks so much for uploading this list, so much stuff I didn't know was out and would like to check out
Cant wait to see the new Trigun, I loved the original so I'd like to see what they did in this new show.
Personally some of the changes I've seen so far dont bother me, it's best that they go for what works for them rather then stress over something that's difficult to animate.
Very nice recap, love it!
Pass and toss is sounf quite similar. So maybe notify everyone just a bit in the next video, so they dont confuse one with the other. ;)
Thanks a lot, Tristan. This was really helpful.
onimais opening is so fire and actually wholesome if u look past some of the fanservice like ep 3 had me smiling the entire ep
Please continue to do these videos. It's awesome and made me found a gem or two I would have overlooked!
Fuck yeah, awesome video! Thank you for all the information!
Farming Life in Another World, and Campfire Cooking have been my favorites thus far. Thanks for the list!
Alot of nice mangas I have read getting anime this year. That's pretty nice.
Oh, goodness! I’m going to have to have to watch this video again to sort through all of that. There were a lot of anime that didn’t get tossed.
Just started watching your content. 3 months on and you "tossed" some absolute epic shows.
Do you ever go back? Would be interesting to see a "was I right to pass/toss" video.
I’m pretty sure in Reborn to master the sword she isn’t reborn in another world she’s reborn several centuries later
that is what i thought. i mean i could be wrong but that seems to be what happened.
16:45 The show isn't Monogatari, it's Mono*no*gatari, with an extra "no".
Thanks for the video. Really appreciate the effort you put into this
LOL when I read that Manga and saw the King saying.
I will talk about the sequels/whatnot:
- The Misfit of Demon King Academy II: More great misfit fun in all its craziness, I'm on board.
Also, you should really learn more about Villainess series. Manhwas do a lot, there are also a lot of good Manga ones. I LOVE THE GENRE SO MUCH!
Hell yeah thanks glass reflection your awesome.
Ayakashi Triangle by Kentaro Goatbuki will definitely be the Sleeper Ecchi hit of the season
I love this format Geoff, frosty indeed 💞💞💞💞
Any FARMING tool specifically.
It can become a scythe or sickle but that's the most weapon like it gets; it also cannot become say a pair of Lock snips or something else not associated with basic farming needs.
Its just perfect examples of such and in the case of the Hoe form it kills while turning stuff to soil so not exactly perfect as a weapon.
Plus who can argue with an eventual cast of 30+ waifus and counting.
listening to you explain the 1st episode and kinda choose whether or not to watch it only makes me believe the 3 episodes rule more.
This is what i'm here for, awsome thankyou!
Love that he has parents that love him and that is why they are letting him live on his own.
surprised he didn't mention that northern War is actually a video game tie in.
Trigun is one of my 1st anime series purchases. But it's been sitting on my shelf for almost 25 years now. I have forgotten most of the story. So watching the remake probably won't bother me so much.
Thank you Arkada. Very useful. keep it up.
