The foot break is definitely a disappointment but I think they did that to keep with retro styling. Also I read somewhere that the windows are automatic up as a safety feature in some way. There actually wasn't a price cut on that. Great review. I have basically the same 2017 rt in black. I absolutely love it and I personally don't require hp equivalents to the mustang or Camaro
I bought his car because of a movie! Aka Vanishing point. I’m impressed with how this thing pleases. Who cares about hp and having the fastest car, it’s about the drive. Definitely wouldn’t sell my challenger for another car. (Unless it’s a 1969 daytona)
I hear from many people, the 4-cylynder de-activation is not good for the engine. Staying in sport mode or manual is better for optimizing the engine, ya? Rather save my engine in the long run than save a bit on fuel. Thanks for the review.
Most common issues for hemi engines is the cylinder deactivation goes bad and can be a pain in the ass to diagnose since it can be easily ruled out that your car needs an engine. You will have to bring it to a skilled mechanic that knows a lot about hemi’s. But they pretty solid and reliable engines.
@@JayAtlarep I thought the most common issue was the cam lobes wearing down and getting that infamous "hemi tick". I own a ram with the 5.7 and cylinder deactivation, keep up with regular maintenance and you'll be good!
@@XDM10 Yes, hemi tick can also be normal to hemi engines due to couple reasons. Hemi tick could be serious problems or normal. But but Ive encounter a lot of hemi ram truck’s exhaust manifold broken bolt/studs and causes weird noise.

It's not a scat pack at all. Almost 100 horsepower difference and plenty of body and interior differences. You could put camaro badges on it if you want! Not sure why you would, nothing wrong with an R/T. Doesnt have to be the baddest car in the world, as long as it's fun to you, who cares what people think!
@@Yoursistersazz Driving it is part of it but weather/density altitude play a really big factor what times you can pull. If you're at sea level and you go out at night when the air is cool you'll pull some great times.
Upgraded my Chrysler 300 to this R/T and couldn't be happier
Great review, I'm buying a 2017 in 2022 and this helped a lot on understanding some of the features. Thanks!
Don't know about 2017, but 2022 model alpine sound system has plenty of bass. I have to actually turn the bass down on the equalizer.
Got my 2017 Challenger in 2019. Haven’t regretted that decision💪🏽

I just got my 2017 r/t shaker have for a month now love it
I really think you gave a unbiased review thank you
Yeah it’s a good looking car but the looks you get when you smoke one in a civic from the 90’s is amazing.

That guy went out in a blaze of glory, cool movie. Remember seeing it at the Drive-In.

Since when was a challenger a 4 cylinder 🤨
@@Numberrr10 automatic challengers deactivate 4 out of 8 cylinders at highway speeds where acceleration isnt required for MPG gains.

I'm thinking of getting a 2017 I know somebody selling this for 22k I'm sure I can get one for 20k 50k miles
Going to look at a destroyer grey one some time this week 2017 too and it only has 35k miles and a minor accident in rear
Beast!
Correction 0-60 is in the low 5s
On the daily basis it’s in the high 5.8- 6.1
The time they claim is obviously on prepped road, correct tires, weather, etc
I can do better, you have to know how to drive it

I did 0-60 in 4.8 was my best time in my 22 Challenger R/T 6 speed manual.
Keep the work 💪
You have to keep pressure on the window switch to raise it fully????!!!! Say it isn 't so!!!!!! How horrible!!!!!!! BFD. I'd rather have it that way.
man you just made me love this car more than I did
it'll prolly cost me an organ though lol
