I like the fact that u guys love the hellcat a lot of people like to bash the car for not being a supercar but its a muscle and a very good muscle car. I also think the zl1 any year is better because they actually have grip and not as big so u have confidence while driving . try and review both zl1 5th and 6th gen u will love them

Best Muscle Car Ever. Yeah Probably. It is utterly impractical but very large and spacey inside, a boat compared to the the Comaros, Vettes mustangs. Those are at best pny cars, with very high performance sports car no2, gt350, Camaro’s much better to drive especially ZL1. Just different types of car. Widebody is necessary for hellcat. i’d take Zl1 Camaro personally if handling and Power are premiuum, because basic blower swap will get it into 800 crank horsepower range... manual of course. Gt350, Hellcat widebody and 6th gen camaro are are all just different in Unique ways. Other than gas mileage which none do well in, Hellcat widbkdy with probably much more grippy tires for a cruising, fun road trip car with lots of space. Heavy but muscle cars were always heavy.... it’s badass. So is A Zl1 1le and fir price now gt350
With thet engine and supercharger or tein turbo if you NEEED the power is about same price range with prices falling. Just different cars. As far as muscle car by definition. Well duh hellcat is kinda the only one by size properly defined that exists. The rests are pony cars, ir vette sports car with extreme muscle. Just all different and unique. If I could pick two or 3 or all they just are all very special and unique. But as far as muscle car Well yeah the hellcat is really the only proper muscle car... I like turninf, so not my first choice, but for cool factor and badassness wouldn’t turn one down if someone gave it to me and I’d have no regrets.

The reason the shifter is tilted weirdly is because the old school challengers were just like that. Gives it a retro look in the interior

Sorry but there is no argument against amber headlights. At least in my opinion they look awesome
The amount of lifted trucks near me with with high intensity blue LED headlights that aren't adjusted downward blasting me in the eyes has made me loathe them.
Is it just me or would two Amber halos be better? The white halos on the actual headlights are so dull they are barely noticeable...
The amber lights make it look like you're staring into the eyes of the devil...

I like tuners. I’ve had a couple S13’s with trackday setups, STi, BMWs etc but this is one of my absolute favorite cars. Just so brutal in every way, don’t care it’s a million pounds or imprecise. It’s the perfect muscle car and I’m in love

This is aging very very well. 700 hp with a manual, great looks and I think the interior is underrated in it's design and materials.
I have the “actual serial killer” version, original, 6 speed, non-widebody, and love driving it. Made me a better driver for sure. Then add snow and/rain into the mix and you’ll see the gates of hell open in front of you! Lol. Also, you get a free class at Bondurant Racing school to teach you how to tame the beast if you buy a hellcat or any SRT vehicle, I believe. Totally worth it.
I love the fact that it comes in a manual. You guys should review the Fiesta ST!

We avoid viewer cars for insurance and amount of time with the car

Great review! I went back and forth forever and after driving an auto I was sold! The manual didn’t feel right in this car. I chose the auto myself, it helped knowing I have other manual cars though . Can’t lose in either decision you make but I will say, that the manual is slower and didn’t feel like 700 hp. When spending this much I wanted it to feel 700hp. If I didn’t already have manual cars I might would have done manual but ultimately I’m very happy with the auto, it’s a rocket!

I just lov the fact that every manufacturer is concerned about about emissions and all that sort of stuff, and that Dodge's response to them is "Hey,have 700hp and a manual transmission. Why you ask? Why not!"

the widebody hellcats are just a sweetheart. Cars like that might not exist for long. I dont even care that its not as fast as a Tesla. Driving these hellcats remind you that there are more than just performance numbers. Cars that make you scared for your life doesnt get old.
I also noticed you guys havent driven a camaro zl1 or camaro zl1 1le yet. Even though thats not really a muscle car anymore you guys would appreciate the 650hp/650tq and the lighter weight with really capable handling all in one package. If you guys ever come down to New England, id let you guys take my 2018 Camaro ZL1 manual for a test drive!!

I love that shfiter in these. You have to be so strong it. Gives you the feeling you can bang the gears as hard as you can and it feels natural versus a flimsy shifter.

I heard one of these the other day on the road. The sound of it was very distinguished, dodge did an amazing job on the exhaust note. And of course the whole car is very well put together 👌🏿

I don't think so, dodges only cars are the charger and challenger and without them Dodge would virtually no longer exist.

That supercharger whine sound is just perfect
K so I'm a semi truck driver. I drive all day long without using the clutch except to start or come to a stop. I wonder if it's possible to just float the gears. I've done it in other cars like I do in my semi but I wonder if you could in a hellcat. It's all about the timing. I can shift my truck all day long without grinding a gear either. However it is a learned and practice skill. I actually just bought an 18 speed manual Pete 389 with 550 horse 1850 lb ft. Of torque and 3.55 rear ends. She's a power House down side she cost more than a hellcat lol 105k dollars, but she'll make me money, where the hellcat when I get it might get me in trouble. Also a psa truckers who get speeding tickets in personal vehicles it applies to our trucking licence, and the limit for a dwi or dui drops to .04 weather or not you drive the semi or your personal vehicle, and it still applies even if you don't drive semis but have a CDL. I can't wait though to try and float a hellcats gears.
Aaron Layes you can’t float gears in any trans with syncros (all car transmissions) heavy truck transmissions are straight cut or face plated and have no syncros.
@@Tomatiller I floated gears in my mom's chevett and it has syncros I heard the window is just smaller. My semi has partial syncros.

Abass Ali the automatic transmission it has is one of the best affordable transmissions in the world. Plus it can hold lots of hp.
Wouldn't recommend the manual to anyone if tuning is your thing.
Nostalgia wise, the manual that it has is great.

Can’t beat stock for stock the sounds this car makes.
To those who have a charger/challenger and are leaving those lip protectors on... Dirt/grit/sand will get inside there and basically the lip protector becomes sandpaper. So you should probably consider taking it off. If you think it looks cool, paint it.

I actually got nervous when it got away from Jakub - then freaked out when he LET Yuri drive it - you know, 'cause of the "rules of the show". Your next one should be the Z06 ... also on the street!
It has the handbrake with the pedal there because the car is still based on the Daimler Chrysler Platform from 1997. So its almost a historic car which can buy with a lot of modern updates.
