Train Crosses Cool Trestle On Industrial Spur, Awesome RR Crossings, Fast Trains With DPUs In Ohio

- Fast Auto Racks Trains With DPUs, Industrial Spur Used By Local Switching Freight, Unusual Railroad Crossing & Steel Coils Train. Space Ship House & Abandoned Railroad Interchange Track Included. CSX & Norfolk Southern Railroad trains, 6, are featured in this video. These trains are in Carlisle and Franklin, Ohio on the CSX Toledo Sub and the Dayton District with the Franklin Industrial Lead.
The first 3 trains are booking through Carlisle at 3 different spots. Listen to the DPU working hard on the auto racks train headed to Cincinnati.
The 4th train was a CSX manifest with a DPU and headed northbound.
Next we follow a short Norfolk Southern train running northbound. It goes over a railroad crossing and then we see it backing down the Franklin Industrial Spur to work one of the two customers on the line. I caught it going over a small trestle that I always wanted to see a train cross. This train was being shoved by an SD40-2 with a female engineer. Myself and a couple of other railfans have discovered that she does not want to be on camera so I stayed back to where she can't be seen. Later in the video you see this train reversing at another crossing. We also see the double spaceship house in Carlisle.
The last train is a CSX steel coils train heading northbound through Carlisle, Ohio. This video also shows an abandoned track that is still in place. It used to connect to the old DT&I line. That line went through Franklin heading south to Ironton, Ohio.

We got 12-18 " of the white crap forecast for Rhinelander Wi. so I hoofed my family down to Trempealeau Wi. to watch BNSF pound freights 60 ft.off my balcony with CP running across the Mississippi river plus watching my favorite videos including yours. Throw in some great food and drink and I'm in Heaven! Excellent video, enjoyed it much!
You hear auto dealerships talking about Autos flying off the.lot at big sales but JT captures the next batch of cars headed for wheeling and dealing. Plenty of mixed Freight toss in some steel coils and and a local and you got it made. At 23:53 the window shade straight ahead on the Martian house gave you the wink. The Greening of the grass will also soon host yellow dandelions

Yes, I used to own 26 acres in a Bigfoot area near the Ohio river. It was in the middle of nowhere and I used to camp on it . Nothing was near it and people started dumping trash on it so I sold it. One of my first videos was of my cousin pretending to be Bigfoot. 😂lol
We also have Mothman nearby down by the river. Have you ever heard of him?

Love watching your videos! My grandfather was an engineer and took me on trains lot when I was young. I live about 2 blocks from some tracks in Albany, NY and often while watching during the day, trains pass. Neat to watch you and hear them at the same time!

@@JawTooth Where I live, we used to have a Southern Pacific track near my house. It ran southeast/northwest from Orange County California to Los Angeles County. I saw the aftermath of 2 derailments near my home in the 1990s. None were too serious, with no injuries. Around 2002, UP took out the tracks, except for a section leading from the city of Paramount in Los Angeles County to the rail yard in Commerce California.

You had a busy day in the Carlisle, Ohio area on 28 March 2023, Jaw Tooth! Those were some nice mixed freight trains that you captured. That is a neat bridge that you caught the Norfolk Southern local crossing. The bridge would look nice on a model railroad.
Yay! DPUs are cool. That first manifest was something - I lost count of the boxcars, but there were a bunch :) A lot of autoracks - like shipping gold as much as new cars cost :)

That was a nice mural of the steam locomotive and station there. Looked like a 4-8-4 of some sort. Given the locale, probably B&O or Nickel Plate Road, though I guess it could have been New York Central.
That 3rd train was a nice variety of cars.
I am always amazed at the LENGTH of some of these trains! And some with only two locomotives. Great Video!!!

There's a spur line in Carlisle, Pennsylvania also that is used to service the Frog Switch manufacturing plant which initially shut down in 2008 but is now being updated with new machinery and is doing a good business again according to online sources. I recently noticed that sections of the original plant are also being repurposed for other businesses as well... I like the spaceship homes! That last train had uncovered coils - must be stainless steel rolls that aren't subject to rust and the elements.
Love that mural of a B&O "Big 6" you show on that building! Somebody did some nice artwork there! Beat the hell out of the graffiti on the freight cars, I absolutely hate that crap!
